Pravana ChromaSilk Creme Hair Color - 5.7 Light Violet Brown 3 oz

Hands down the longest lasting and best looking color I've found. I have been dying my hair for 30 years and have tried just about every brand of hair color out there. Pravana has always been the brand I can rely on the most for gorgeous, even, vibrant color. Chromasilk colors can be a little stubborn to completely remove from your hair, but as long as you understand the color wheel and how to use the right color to neutralize another, I've never had a problem switching colors at all, and I always get compliments on how amazing my hair looks and how long my red stays vibrant.

I give this an amazing five stars because PRAVANA?????? CHROMO-SILK??? IT MAKES MY HAIR FEEL LIKE FEATHERS!!!!!!! SOFTEST!! I ONLY KNEW That she was using this product brand well product and brand name was when she said it in front of the shampoo bottle I looked over out of curiosity and never forgot this name and I knew it was chroma silk! So I asked her when she finished putting this color which was a violet blind it was just like not purple at all but not exactly blue either very very beautiful color and it was in a light do you know Violet of course not that bold!-not this one, meaning me! Anyways it turned out very beautiful because this girl skin was almost negative white literally no offense just was a beautiful beautiful milky white skin color!!!! So with this wow bright yellow hair which some people are thinking I know when they look at her hey did you mean to get blonde or yellow because the blonde is yellow after all we know this or a “golden “OK whatever it’s yellow! LOL, I would recommend this and do you recommend this or even ask someone if I am noticing the beauty of their hair have you heard of this so-and-so called product called PRAVANA!!???? So yes that’s what I’ve gotten to now I would recommend this and do recommend this and even bring it up when I think the person is holding this brand and looking into coloring their hair with this or having it colored always it’s very very very rare you’re ever going to see anyone having this product and coloring their own hair with it! Every person I’ve spoken to that is even heard of this brand has only had it done or know someone who has had it done in this brand specifically! I love what it did for my hair and now I’m back to the basics and need superduper help from the one and only… @influenster !!!!

Fast Receipt but Product Quality???

Would you use a can good that is dented ? Would you purchase it? The insides may be compromised . I believe my product was compromised/chemical breakdown due to when I opened the box, there was some smeared writing the tubes was misshaped and dented in places on all four of the ones received the one that I opened the package. It came out tan versus white and changed colors on the piece of paper that I squeezed a little bit out on. I googled my findings and it said chemical breakdown and could lose my hair. I can’t lose my hair by my own doing. I gave the better rating I did because it came to me so quickly and the seller understood and accepted their product back.

I banked it into my memory but it was on the back burner. The last bleach job left me with the ugly neon yellow hair but instead of using a toner, I purchased this in 8N. I used 10% volume so it would not lift and only deposit color. I had no expectations but had a "best case scenario". I'm glad to say that it worked! I didn't do the ends of my hair, only the top. Great product! True to Color!

works great - hair felt like it was healthier after coloring - a much better option that drugstore/big store hair colors! I have red/auburn hair that turns strawberry blondish in the summer and just wanted to restore my orig color after summer - it did the trick - I will use this from now on! Prior to this product use, I was mixing drugstore colors and could NEVER get the right color! This product was 100% true to color!

I color my own hair on the advice of my sister-in-law who is a stylist living in another state from me. When I see her, she does my hair. When I don't, she tells me what exactly I need to get the same color. I have dark brown hair prone to turning orange. According to her 'formula', my hair lifts to a creamy blonde with this PRAVANA ChromaSilk Creme Hair Color in 10.13, a one-inch ribbon of 000 Lightener (also Chromasilk), and 40 volume developer. I add a few drops of a purple color toner to cancel out the orange/yellow, and I process for 45 minutes. I love this hair color! Was my personal experience with this hair color helpful? Love how it turned out! My natural color is a medium brown. I used a 30 vol developer, which can lift up to 2 levels. It definitely did lighten it, probably up to light brown/dark blonde level. The pigments/highlights are just like the swatch, but my allover color is slightly darker than the swatch because of my natural hair level. Recommend going over the Pravana manual online, as there wasn't really any info that came with the dye other than the developer to dye ratio.

It added such a beautiful rich brown to my dry stresses locks. And yea the other reviews are absolutely right it is much much darker than you expect, maybe it will fade over time but I love it because that is exactly what I was looking for - a deep chocolate brown. It is a level 3/2 colour not a level 4 and parts of my hair were lightened/ stripped with effasol. So if you are using it on dark hair expect it to look like a level 1/2. There was no scalp irritation, no ugly smells, no mess. I can go on and on. Next time I will try mixing some rich red into the brown for more depth. One ... MoreOmg! One entire tube with 1.5x developer was sufficient to fully saturate my shoulder length hair. I have very thick hair so maybe thats why. I used it with LOral 20 volume cream developer and it worked like a charm. At the same price or cheaper than a box dye why would anyone ever choose box dye again is beyond is me.

Pulled warm on me

Natural level 8, and bought this to cover my stubborn grey. Used a volume 20 & processed for 30 minutes. Covered grey well, and left hair soft & shiny. It did pull warm on me however. Hmm, kinda like a tarnished penny. I chose a neutral because it's supposed to give the best coverage for resistant grey.

This works great. I mix with the Provana Ash Blue and Ash Green with Wells Dark Ash Brown permanent dye. You can see the progress of my hair color slowly lightening from a chocolate/ reddish brown to a lighter ash brown. Remember dying your hair is science you are mixing chemicals. I only dye my own hair, no one elses. Hair color all depends on your undertones, how much you lighten before and the colors you add after. I have been doing my hair for years and this has been the best color combination that I have stuck to the past year. It seems to work the best and really helps tone the red/copper. Dont expect the perfect results the first time its a process. Good luck!
