An Amazingly Versatile Material with Great Color!

Premo colors are fantastic for mixing, and so easy to work with! Everything sands to a nice finish and takes textures really well. Sometimes I make them softer/more matte by mixing them with Sculpey Souffle colors and I have had no issues. I also mix Premo and Liquid Sculpey together to make more "paintable" polymer clay and that works well too! Premo is surprisingly strong and flexible after it is baked, and really delicate pieces hold up well as long as they are baked at the right temperature. The only color that I have found less convenient to work with is Translucent; it is often more crumbly than the pigmented clays and requires a lot of patience to get it fully conditioned, but it's worth it!

Fun, quick, easy, and limited mess!

I had read lot of reviews on polymer clay and Premo! Sculpey before diving into my craft project this week. I discovered that polymer clay is great for mixing to create different colors. This time, I mixed bright orange and bright pink to get a variegated deep orange color that came out lovely. I feel there are unlimited uses for Premo! Sculpey clay. If I am able to use it to make this stunning knitting-themed coaster on my first time using polymer clay, then you can make the project you are wanting too! Fun, quick, easy, and limited mess!

Great clay, but super humorously disappointing.

So excited to try this one! But i was so disappointed when i finally got home and opened the package. Haha kinda comical really. And seemed so obvious to me after I was starting to cut off a chunk. I dont know if i want to say why, i dont want to spoil it for the Sculpey company or whatever. But i will say, this is one hunk of clay that is better left on its own, or super mixed in with another color or maybe as a very thin top or bottom layer on the final project (if making canes and such) cutting trough it is a pain and will ruin your canes if your not using an extremely sharp blade. But its is nice on its own for a moon shape or teardrop or with some alcohol inks even. Polymer Clay Used in Clay Extruder
4 April 2022

This was my first time working with polymer clay and Premo! Sculpey. I bought a clay extruder online as I wanted to make these knitted coasters, which required you to have "snakes" of clay that were consistent in size. The clay extruder was a life saver and was really easy to use with this clay. However, some of the clay seemed a little more brittle when it came out of the clay extruder. Sometimes it would break off and sometimes it would crack when it was twisted. I suspected this was results of some clays being fresher than others with the older clays being a little more brittle. Even with the brittle-ness, I was still able to complete my project! The clay baked up very well according to the directions on the packages. Premo clay has endless possibilities!!!
12 October 2022

Sculpy Premo is by far the best polymer clay on the market. I’ve been working with polymer clay for 15 years and this is my favorite!! It holds shapes very well, it’s easy to create details that stay sharp. Premo conditions quickly and is easy to manipulate. The colors are vibrant and mix well; offering you an endless spectrum of colors. Premo bakes well, and pieces stick together with no issues. You can rebake if needed to add embellishments. Premo is great for making bowls, ring dishes, jewelry, and anything you can create. It works well with alcohol inks, mica powders, stone and crystal embellishments, and can be painted. Premo polymer clay has limitless possibilities!!!

Premo is PRIMO!
3 March 2023

I have always loved The Addams Family from Charles Addams original single panel cartoons and after I discovered polymer clay, I decided to try my hand (like 'Thing') in recreating them with Premo Sculpey. As one of the Addams Family might say, "It's FANG-tastic!" Premo is firm enough to hold up to even the finest detail, but still pliable to work with after warming it up a bit in your hands. It never dries out and is hard as a rock once it is baked in the oven! On a scale of one to ten, it rates a Da, Da, Da, Dum, Snap, Snap . . . THIRTEEN!

Premo, my clay of choice for a variety of projects
5 October 2022

I have been working with polymer clay for well over a decade now. Most of the time I do sculptural objects, but I create jewelry on occasion too. I also teach workshops for newbies to polymer clay. I have tried other brands of clay, but find Sculpey Premo to be the most consistent, and I love the fact that it comes in a variety of colors, so I do not need to paint items to get the color I want. When conditioned and baked correctly, it is strong and durable.

SCULPEY PREMO FTW!
20 February 2022

SO GLAD that Sculpey FINALLY brought back their OPAL ACCENTS clay. It is so pretty, & I use it for jewelry and decorative accents in faerie houses and cottages, etc. The one thing that I'd say is that it DOES have a tendency to DRY OUT. I was set to lose the work & cost of several bricks' worth! The cracks in my work were quite noticeable. : ( Since I'm horribly allergic to the Sculpey clay softener stuff, it all seemed lost and I was severely bummed. The store brand of oven-hardening clay is pretty good, and IS quite soft, but unfortunately, the product line tends to lack as great a range of Crazy And Awesome Colors and Effects! So I remained **bummed out** for a long time. But <3 LUCKY ME! <3 ~~my gal-pal gave me the inside track on a fix-it for crumbly clay ... MoreSO GLAD that Sculpey FINALLY brought back their OPAL ACCENTS clay. So I remained **bummed out** for a long time. But <3 LUCKY ME! <3 ~~my gal-pal gave me the inside track on a fix-it for crumbly clay problems~~HUZZAH! It's cheap & amazing: 1)First, U gotta snag one of those heavy duty zipper freezer bags, the bigger ones of like a quart or even a half-gallon size, that will REALLY stand up to some squashing & coshing! 2) THEN, U break up or slice the clay into slim, sorta-same-size pieces. (4me, there were plenty of CRUMBLY BITS, so B ready4that!) lol 3) NEXT, U dribble a few drops of unscented mineral oil over the top of the crumbles in the zipper bag. WELL, GEEZ, GUYS~~I ONLY HAD BABY OIL! The Fates were apparently cool with it~~AND IT WORKED!! Turns out Baby Oil & Mineral Oil are practically the same thing! 4) Anyhoo, U zip up the bag AND, after letting the droplets sink in for a little while, massage, Massage, MASSAGE the bag, BABY. Whew! My fingers got a work-out. But they stayed pretty clean. AND they didn't break out in welts, which is my usual reaction to the alternative clay softener product. : ( Aaand. I managed to SALVAGE MY OPAL CLAY!! Good On Sculpey for making a clay that stands up to hard use, I say. RIGHT ON! ; D

Sculpey Premo is my go to clay!
26 December 2022

I have been playing with polymer clay for well over a decade now, and Sculpey Premo is my favorite clay for whimsical creations! I also use Liquid Sculpey for joiningPremo components together, both before and after baking. I also use it to soften up clay when using a mold, in order to get good definition in all the crevices. It comes in a wide variety of colors, is readily available and is durable and strong when conditioned and baked properly ( always use an over thermometer). I also use and recommend both Premo and Liquid Sculpey in my workshops.

Sculpey clay is the way to go!
30 May 2022

Premo sculpey clay is great and easy for beginners as well! I personally use this clay to make earrings but it can also be used to make sculptures, mini figurines, designs, jewelry, etc. and the best part is you can work with it for as long as you need and it will not dry out. This clay comes in many colors and you can mix them too to make new colors as well! Once you are done with your beautiful creation just pop it into the oven and it’s all ready to go! You can file the edges to make smoother and use other products to jazz it up!
