Best printer I have ever owned, and I have had a few. No more inkcartridges, just pour in more ink when required. No mess, no spills. Ink weems to last forever. Print quality is great and colour printing is the best I ever had. Setting up is somewhat difficult and assistance is scarce from epson however it is good when it comes. Works well on wifi or direct from Mac. Mine is a ET-2810, no the 2811 however they look the same. I will say again Love the no ink carts

Bought this about 9 months ago on recommendation of the Officeworks sales staff. For windows devices worked out of the box, all things Apple required a bit more effort. For iPhone, iPad you need to send the document/image to the Epson smart panel or Epson iPrint app not AirPrint (unsupported), it’s one more click but offers more options for the output. The real struggle was Macbookpro (M1 chip) and MacBook Air there are drivers but it seemed to take forever to find and configure them. Eventually I found them on the Epson au site and now works well. Another issue I’ve found is the paper gets stuck easily if you don’t keep the exit tray clear, or load too much. Good value but the paper trays let it down. Firstly the intake tray is flimsy and does not support the wad of paper well and is too short as it does not have the length of A4 paper. Very inadequate for a hot humid climate where paper does not hold up well. The top load takes up too much space, so this printer does not fit well on a shelf with another above it The bottom tray is also fully unsupported. Unfortunately this lets an otherwise excellent product down

This is the printer for you if you are wanting a printer that can keep printing without having to change the ink cartridges regularly!Love everything about it except two things:1. Doesn't print double sided (wish I checked this before buying but still works fantastic)2. Wish it had a touchscreen on the printer (when there's an issue such as no paper, I can't tell what's wrong without going into settings on my computer)Apart from that I love it and happy with my purchase! Bonus is that the ink replacements are cheap too!!
Despite what the box says, despite what this product description says, despite what sales staff might say… this printer DOES NOT WORK FOR MAC’s!It will print from your iPhone/iPad via the Epson Smart Print app ONLY. It will not print via ANY other means.It looks great. Great concept. Price was reasonable. But again if you own an iMac or MacBook it won’t print via AirPrint.I spent time on the tech support with Epson… Useless. They can’t resolve it. They even increased my case to their engineers. I took it back for a full refund.Bought the HP Smart Tank 7005 All-in-One instead. Bit more expensive but they price matched/beat Harvey Normans price.
I can't believe the negative comments here. We bought this printer nervously-it was the only budget one available-but it has been brilliant. It connected flawlessly to my android phone, MacBook and windows PC to print wirelessly. The amount of ink we use is minuscule as our old printer chewed up the ink. I honestly believe I have printed more in the last 6 months than I have in the last couple of years because we used to use so much ink. We could not be happier and wish we had replaced our older printer years ago.
So simple to set up, the wifi connection is very efficient even in a two story house. Printing from mobile devices is easy. The double sided printing is so handy. A well built printer with great print quality. Printed work is clean and straight. The only downside is the design and function of the On/Off button. It's reliant on a relay and often takes too long to respond. Switching on is slow and is far more difficult to switch off. I can see this delicate switch being the first thing to fail eventually. I currently have my printer connected to a wall socket so switching On and Off is now instant.
Its taken 7 months to get it set up, as the process needed hours of consistant time and efforts that I did not have for a printer. Finally after almost an entire day on and off the phone with espon I was guided through the process which was also challenging for the support person. The instructions along would never have worked and wifi set up did not work at all. very frustating and disappointing we have not had a working printer for 7 months. This will be my last epson printer purchase. I have been a customer for 12 years. I have no ideas how it performs at this point. Test page worked.
I purchased this as a refurbished model. The refurbished model I was sent was not put back together properly. I paid express because I needed it pronto and then had to drive an hour there and back twice to take it for repair. Another one was provided as a needed part was unavailable, nice. Waiting an extra two weeks to have a printer, not nice. Two hours driving, not nice. Being asked to provide a review when I am just completing the set-up and have no idea how the printer performs, pointless. The ratings I have provided are useless to anyone because I have yet to use the printer and this system will not proceed without me putting in a rating. The Epson ET-2811 was a great choice, I was only looking to spend around $100 on a printer, But then you have to look a replacement cartridge cost, That's when I was shown the cost of replacement cartridges for the Epson, so much cheaper and last so much longer, was a no brainer. I did spend more then I wanted to, but the cost to replace Ink was better over the long term.I found it easy to set up, even with an old computer, but remember if you don't have a wifi computer you will need to buy a USB lead (which i had to go back to store to purchase).but overall, very happy with the purchase.Highly recommended.
