Once I solved the hum issue this had with my Project Debut Carbon LP player and Sony Shake 77 I was happy. Very happy.I gave this product a 3 rating because of the extra mile I had to go to get it to work without a large humming coming through the stereoWhat you need to do if this happens to you is create an Earth for the Phono Box E.I put this down to a design fault!Anyways, this helped me and now I am enjoying a fantastic soundBy the way if you are wanting to use this Phono pre amp with a turntable that has it's own built in pre amp it will not work. I tried this with my Pioneer PL 30k and it wouldn't work. I ended up returning the Pioneer PL 30 k and getting the Project Debut carbon which is 10 x better! bought this when I bought my project carbon which I LOVE. Lots of emotion about my turntable, it’s difficult to be emotionally connected to a pre-amp, so it works is good enough for me. Aussie hifi are efficient and easy to do business with.

Despite the first one I bought being faulty (not Aussie HiFi’s fault) the guys at Aussie replaced it quickly and the second one works perfectly. Very happy with the service I received.

VERY GOOD Beautiful sound. I delayed sending this because I had a problem trying to program the wonderful (but complicated)Marantz amp I have bought secondhand.. It took me a while to figure out that all the electronics were OK! The problem was PILOT ERROR REgards Joe Kenyon

Easy to install and effectively boosts the music volume from my record player into my Bose Lifestyle sound system.
You won't believe how good this thing sounds for only $115. It does what it does EXTREMELY well for the price. Warm, detailed, and the soundstage is more than respectable. No, it doesn't offer anywhere near the performance of an amp costing a few hundred bucks more, the frequency response caps off at 20khz and it needs more gain. But if you're on a tight budget and want to see what the vinyl craze is all about, one of these is a perfect start.
If your amp doesn’t have an inbuilt phono stage and you want a taste of what vinyl sounds like, but don’t want to outlay a fortune - get one of these. Sounds better than it has any right to for only $115, and build quality is great. Compared to phono amps costing 3 to 4 times as much, a few things are compromised of course. Gain is a bit low, and the frequency response cuts off at 20khz. However the phonobox does what it does extremely well. Most people buying at this price point will be more than impressed.
