Pro-Tec Classic cert Matte Black Helmet - XL

We are a family of Pro-Tec helmet wearers so the choice was easy. Best helmets for riding, skateboarding on the market. I love the cav blue colour for something different as well. Highly recommend spending extra to get a original and safe helmet opposed to the cheaper copy brands.

Great fit for my small child. Love it!

I purchased a longboard for my daughter. Needed some protection for her. Looked at all the specs and this was the one I chose for her.She Loves this helmet. She added tons of stickers to make it more her style. Such a great purchase. Already saved her noggin when she took a tumble.

Great helmet to keep you safe

This is my sons skate helmet. Since the whole world is closed we decided to take a nice family bike ride down a few roads (We live off in the country). I usually don't ride a bike in fact a had to borrow my sons old bike so needless to say i had no helmet. Since everyone else including dad had a helmet i felt a bit delinquent with out one. So when i saw my sons skate helmet I figured close enough. It has a super nice soft fit way better than I remember my bike helmet fitting 30 years ago. The venting was ok bike helmets are better. It stayed put and saved me a bruise when i hit a low hanging branch with it. It gets the job done.

It's a helmet and protects your head.

I used this helmet probably two times since I've gotten it.( 6 days ago) It's a basic helmet nothing to write home about but I got it for a good price. I couldn't tell you if it would protect me during a crash because I have not hit my head with it. But it does have hard foam and soft foam inside of the helmet with a plastic shell. I got mine in matte red which looks really nice I think. I measured my head before getting it and I believe it is a little big. Size large.

Saved My Son

Purchased 2 of these Protec Classic Certified Helmets from Evo one for my daughter and son. My 13 yr old son was riding his bike on an asphalt road in a state park campground when he rode off onto a small dirt embankment to avoid a peaked speed bump like most do for this particular speed bump. Apparently his front tire hit a tree root hidden by leaves and he flipped over his handlebars or so he was told when he came to. He seemed fine the rest of the 3 day trip with no issues. 5 days later at school he complained of headaches etc. We suspected a concussion. Took him to our general physician who also thought concussion but to be safe ordered an x-ray and CT scan. While this may sound a terrible outcome for an innocuous bike wreck and wearing a helmet I am grateful for this Protec Classic Helmet because my son may not have survived without it or the outcome much worse. 2 weeks later he is back to his usual normal 13yr old boy self. So buy yourself or your loved ones this quality CERTIFIED helmet and be sure to WEAR IT. You never know when the time comes you be needing it. It literally saved my son. And it could save you too.

Saved my head today

I got good use out of this helmet today. My wife is a nurse and did not like me skating bareheaded. She bought me a certified protec helmet to wear while skating to keep me safe. Today i took quite a spill and definitely appreciated having a quality helmet on my head. I don't think I had it tightened all the way (because I didn't realize I really needed a helmet) but that's my fault, so despite that it really did a great job (though I do have a bit of a headache). It fits very well and is very comfy. I will be replacing it with the same model before i head back out

Solid helmet for the money

The wife decided we should wear helmets while biking and skiing and asked me to buy some. She liked the style of the protec. I got her a certified (since i care about her head) in pink and me a non certified (since i am near brain dead anyhow) in silver. The certifed feels very rigid and strong where as the class is soft. The non certified is great for small bumps but in a real fall i am not sure how much it would help. The classic is very comfortable but the tradeoff is the potential for a serious brain ingury.

This helmet is called the Classic for a reason. It provides solid peace of mind for skateboarders/bicyclists/e-skaters while being understated in style (matte gray), but still a little cool. Speaking of cool, ventilation is okay - probably hot in the summer months. This model carries safety certifications (CPSC, ATSM, etc) but is not a MIPS helmet. Be aware there are two versions of the classic, one that is certified, one that isn't. Medium was the right fit for my intermediate oval head shape and does so without making me look like the Great Gazoo (or a tootsie pop). There are fancier brands out there like Nutcase that carry more certs, but are just huge on the head (may just be my head). Wear it for looks wear it for safety

My boyfriend and i only ride bikes very casually and never do the helmet thing. However i make my daughter wear a helmet since there is a law. Last week my daughter was going out for a ride and asked if i would join her. As we were heading out i saw an old pro-tec helmet covered in dust sitting on the shelf in my boyfriends garage (with some inline skates) and figured i should wear it, since i make my daughter wear one, and as it is doing no one any good just sitting there. I put it on and was absolutely blown away at how easy it was to adjust. Throughout the ride it was so light and airy i kept forgetting it was on and it stayed put perfectly. I am glad i gave it a try and my daughter was happy mom had a helmet too .
