A good compact food slicer. The only problem is that the machine does not fully disassemble to enable easy cleaning. The cutting blade and slide tray can be removed but the folding table and cut depth plate surprisingly can not be removed. This makes cleaning far more difficult than it should be. That said the machine works well and is ideal for cutting cooked meats, bread, cheese, salami ect. K.M.

I bought this for my son-in-law. He thinks it's great, as you can slice the meat how you want it. It's a sturdy machine and well worth the price. There are much more expensive ones, but why pay more to do the same job? It also comes with instructions and once you get the hang, is easy to assemble.

Nice and easy to operate, but cleaning the blade can be a touch tricky to remove for cleaning. The locking mechanism is a bit stiff, an das it's made of plastic it could be broken easily. That aside it cuts bread and cheese well, you just have to be quick to catch the slices as they emerge from the other side. yes there are other slicers on the market, but for affordability and compactness this one fits the bill nicely
We purchased the slicer for cured meats and we discovered that it does not slice cured meats thinly. It only slices quite thick slices even though we set the machine to slice thin the blade just completely missed the meat and would only slice it when it was set at a thick slice setting. Not recommended if you want thinly sliced ham, cured meats, etc.
Used it a couple of times to cut a home baked loaf. Cut first slice OK but the more cuts it made the slower it got and the more it struggled to the point where the motor started to burn!! Ended up returning it to my local Dyas
You cannot accurately set the machine to a specific width. This product needs a redesign. I would definitely not buy this again. Originally bought one from Lidl and that was good but unfortunately the sliding mechanism was not so robust.
The slicer works so well. Uniform wafer thin slices of meat or thick slices of bread are easily cut. It has suckers on The feet to stop it moving about the work top. The only small negative comment is it's fiddly to clean.
Used it for the first time today. I slices meat well. There are a couple of challenges I have experienced. Firstly, there appears to be no way to make it run continuously which means you have to keep your finger on the ON switch whilst operating the sliding table. Secondly, the spiked gripper doesn't seem capable of securing a pice of meat sufficiently so that the sliding table can be used continuously. It was, in fact necessary to grip the meat in my left hand in order to secure it through the blade. This fine for someone who knows what they are doing but rather risky for the inexperienced. So to summarise. To slice a small beef roast I had to hold down the ON switch with my left hand, grip the piece of meat in a combination of spiked gripper a secure finger on the ... MoreUsed it for the first time today. To slice a small beef roast I had to hold down the ON switch with my left hand, grip the piece of meat in a combination of spiked gripper a secure finger on the joint, and holding the other fingers on the sliding table. All a little bit difficult but I may have missed something in the user instructions.
This is a quality product with unexpected safety features thumb and finger guards. It is easy to take apart to wash and store and compact in storage. The thickness control, a star knob and with the slightest move is as much as 5mm in width. The thickness available is from 1mm to 15 mm and you can cut most from meat cheese and bread. There are many things that need slicing that could be carried out on this versatile slicer. It is the ideal domestic delight.
