Prorack T17B Heavy Duty Bar Black Pair
Driving even a short distance with a set of singing roof racks fixed to your vehicle can be a headache inducing ordeal, and long distance can be simply unbearable. For some tradesman however, this is a daily reality. Bu it doesn't have to be that way with the new Prorack HD Roof Racks. Designed to take all of the amazing aerodynamic properties of the consumer oriented Prorack S-Wing roof system, the HD has been redesigned for extra strength and practicality. To begin with, these roof racks have a few accessories fitted to make regular use just a little bit easier. Features such as integrated tie down points and inlayed rubber 'load strips' have been introduced to the HD to remove some of the hassle from transporting a load. The HD is also designed to work with Smart Foot Technology allowing easy adjustment between vehicles, as well as lockable covers on the supports. The biggest feature however is the owl wing bar shape that gives the HD its legendary 70% drag reduction over standard roof racks. Not only will this give any tradesperson a big reduction in noise, but also a bit more in the hip pocket at the service station. Still, don't think you're sacrificing strength for the quiet design, the Prorack HD still holds a massive 100kg of tools and equipment without an issue. Though it is still worth consulting with your vehicles manufacturer to check the maximum load rating of your roof, before you start loading the racks up. If you're not sure of the length of bar required for your application, or still need to find the right fitting kit? Try our easy to use roof rack finder!

Beware. Newbie mistake, carrying kayaks in jbars connected to these Prorack bars. Caught in a strong crosswind and the kayaks acted like a sail and ripped the bars from the roof of my Ranger. Prorack refused a claim because I didn't also have front and rear (bow and stern) tie downs. That doesn't change the fact that kayaks mounted at an angle in a strong cross wind are too much shear force for the mounting feet of these bars.

These are a great style and low profile at the same time. The clamp system is great although for a Ssangyong, I wish they utilised the nuts in the water rail.

Shop around & get them on special, or get them to price match the opposition. The only gripe I have besides the ‘normal’ price is I’m glad I did my own width measurement as the catalogue states a bar width too narrow for my application (80 Series Landcruiser)

Purchased today at Virgina Brisbane store. Like the other reviewer, my box had been opened and taped closed again. Installation tools were missing from the box. Got the job done with my own tools anyway. Unfortunately, the ratings below relate to the product and not Repco who are responsible for the opened, incomplete product. Always check before leaving store.
Instructions are NOT clear! Does not explain how to fit them. Diagrams are suited to different racks and fittings! No videos either!
Excellent product. Once I worked out how to connect the fitting kit and install on the car, I'm very happy with the quality and appearance. I did buy them on sale so was saving $90 off regular price.
Very easy to install fitting kit k710 for isuzu mux 2019 and easy to install to vehicle. Happy with quality
Good racks . You will need 2 people to centre them as you need to push a release button on each end to slide the rackRead the instruction on the measurements from the centre pillar for fitment. Very important to get the fitting kit to sit on roof properly.
The mounting bracket were fine but the roof racks were obviously returns that were re-boxed. It was missing inscructions and tool to put one of the type of bolts in. Ended up making my own version of tool to finish install. Once on , roof racks are great.
Don’t waste nearly $500 on this. Once you’ve purchased the actual roof racks and the CORRECT fitting kit you’ll be out almost $500 only to find the cheap plastic parts fall of almost immediately after taking it out of the box. The racks get stuck and can’t be extended. And the holes are too small for the bolt to go through on the fitting kit so even if you manage to get the racks unstuck and the plastic hinges back together you won’t be able to fit it to you Car anyway. What a waste of money.
