I LOVE This mat! I need the extra cushion to protect my knees especially. It works very well for that. The only downside is that it makes the balance part of my routine a little more tricky.

This mat is super comfortable. I use it both for workouts (which I do at home now; sigh!!) and for yoga. My elderly body (I’m 67 and not really elderly) loves the padding, my knees especially. I got the idea to try a yoga mat recently when suffering through painful sciatica that made it extremely difficult to achieve a comfortable sleeping position. I was looking at the wedge pillow systems and read a suggestion about using a yoga mat because there was an area that needed something to lie on between the various wedge pillows. I opted to put the mat like a pillow topper atop my 8" twin mattress that is in my guest bedroom. It has been a couple of weeks sleeping on the 1" yoga mat and I can say I have felt a little bit better each morning. It has been a long road coming back from the crippling pains of sciatica over the past seven weeks. This yoga mat has been kind of the light at the end of the painful tunnel.

Someone at Prosource needs to learn how to measure. This pad is not one inch thick. It is at best 1/8th inches thick. Laughable if it was not a pain to have to return it. My wife came home and saw the box and laughed. She also had purchased one of these and it was also ridiculously thin. So that means it was not the wrong item packaged in the carton that is 10 times the roll. Not to mention the "pad" weighs about 2 ounces. Junk. Returning it.
I use this mat almost daily for Pilates workouts. It is a great thickness. A regular yoga mat is too thin to use on my extremely hard floors at home. This is not only a great thickness for workouts but a nice length too. Highly recommend.
This is exactly what I wanted. I have arthritis in just about every joint and doing exercises and stretches on the floor was painful. This mat is thick enough to provide excellent cushioning for my achy joints and the ribbed texture provides a secure, non-slip surface. Compared to other mats, the price is very reasonable. There was a slight odor which dissipated in a few days. All in all, just about perfect.
Our new mats were delivered promptly and very well packaged. My daughter and I are enjoying the thickness, which helps the mat not slide around and encourages us to do yoga more often since the extra cushioning makes it very comfortable to lie and sit down on. The quality is great, and the colors are beautiful. Will definitely purchase from ProSource again.
Just received this item. Ordering and delivery went great. I’ve not used the mat yet for a yoga class. I have tried it out (sitting, standing, kneeling) and it is incredibly comfortable. I wanted the extra cushion for my knees and I don’t feel pain or discomfort when kneeling on the mat. The cushion also helps my feet grip the mat. I’m very happy with the purchase so far.
This mat is 1 inch thick, just what I needed to better cushion my knees %26 back while exercising. It's not too cushy that I feel out of balance, its pretty firm. I ordered the purple color %26 love it! My only complaint was shipping. The box arrived damaged %26 the mat has a slight indent. Hopefully it will fill out with time. I would use this for workouts for as long as it last with no hesitation on if there is something better out there, but when i am done working out i would roll it back up be done with it. so in that case it really serves its purpose.
