Love my new Pumas. I sprinted with Puma spikes in high school, which is the last time I owned a pair with the big downturned stripe. The suedes are giving me the same vibe as my navy & white spikes, although I haven't tried running in them yet (it's been 40 years). The skate style shoe is much more practical for my current level of activity. You lost a star by sending some puffy 2000s white laces instead of some thin classic white ones. I'm out three buck for the new laces, but that's obviously not the point. These shoes look dumb on me with "phat" laces. The black laces look OK, but they could be thinner as well.

I have some good daily trainers from other brands and thought I was set until I started reading/watching rave reviews about the Deviate Nitro 2. I definitely didn't need another daily trainer but decided to give this shoe a try. Man, am I glad that I did. The midsole is very protective but still propulsive with good ground feel and excellent responsiveness. It has more of a workhorse character that just chugs you along for the long miles but can easily pick up the pace for faster runs.The Puma Grip outsole is probably the best of all road running shoes out there. The traction is so good that it can easily handle mild dirt/gravel trails as well as wet and icy roads. Living in SoCal, I don't deal with snow and ice but I can see that this shoe would be able to handle such conditions really well.Overall, I'm very happy with the Deviate Nitro 2 and it's become one of 2~3 favorite shoes in my road running shoes collection that is now around two dozen. Out of them all, this is definitely the most versatile. From short sprints and medium distance runs at moderate pace to marathon distances at an easy pace, it can literally do it all. Unlike a lot of specialized running shoes, it's also comfortable for walking as well. One of the best shoes of 2022 for sure!

I brought these Sneaker about 2 weeks ago my secret is to brush the blue part lightly with tooth brush, put them away in the box they weredelivered in and repeat in a few days. The deeper blue will start to appear. I have been wearing this particular style of PUMA'Ssince I was in middle school and they were made in Yugoslavia With Walt (Clyde) Frazier NY Knickerbockers Classic Signature onon all the suede with the white stripe feature. The instep quality is a little lacking gone is the all white thicker lining and the built in arch support.you eve stop the dotted size feature on the young of each pair it's the little things that separated them from the pack. Shipping was fast and packaging was deluxe hence the 2 stars. Deviate Nitro 2 very clunky design with the flared-out midsole at the heel area, very thin forefoot midsole and I was hoping the wide version would have addressed the very cramped toe box issue, which it didn't, and I was ultimately let down by what many claim is a great daily trainer. Puma needs to go back to the drawing board on this model and decide if it's a 'trail runner' or a 'daily trainer' and realize that runners feet swell or that most people wear barefoot shoes nowadays, so the toe box and 'splay room' is paramount to a good design. Anyways, hope the current and future owners of DN2 are having a more fueled experience than I did!

Once the thick cloth rubs through, any replacement sole you put into it will be destroyed by the rubber grid. Then it is uncomfortable to walk on that grid; duct tape helps, but not for long. This happens for me with between 9 and 12 months of wearing this as a primary shoe (walking dog, walk at park, office job).Otherwise, ... In this pair the suede feels less rich and almost synthetic, plus the white lining around the foot opening and the tongue squeaks, horribly, when it rubs against itself. It's actually embarrassing to wear them in a quiet space. I'm hoping it stops when they're better broken in, but they are a disappointment.If Puma is trying to maintain the price point but can't with better materials, I wish they'd consider offering a nicer version of the same style for more money. ... I make sure to clean them regularly with soft & medium bristle brushes, erasers to dry clean the suede. If it's absolutely necessary to use water, I only use small amounts ... Same problem with all these classic styled shoes. My feet are not tubes. Stop making the forefoot so darn narrow. Not asking for Topo/Altra barefoot style toe boxes, but when I have to go down a half size in your trainers to a 10 1/2 and would have to look like a clown in 11 1/2 in these to come close to my forefoot not being cramped, you have a design issue and miss the mark.And stop gluing in the insoles. Some people need arch support. Miss the days when Nike would include arch pads and an adhesive strip to add to their insoles. Shoe companies are clueless today.Other than that, a beautifully styled shoe I'd take all day over Adidas. If they could only be made for people who's forefeet are actually wider than their heels.
