I have been a strict food giver to my pets. I have had dozens of cats over the years eating the chefs mix or the purple bag of cat food. I have also used this brand and type of food for all 5 of my dogs over the years (adult and seniors up to 12 large breeds). I fought my last girl for 5 years trying to maintain her weight and it was the only food that worked mixed with other meats and veggies and vitamins etc. again my puppy is the same breed and it’s the only food that works and is perfect for 75% raw diet with kibble base to add weight.My cats are 3, 1.5 and 20 years. They are always on the same food for the last 20 years including all of my cats. It keeps them healthy, a good weight, they ALL have always free fed off of it and they feel full with this company.Seriously. Even the treats I use so many of. The venison bones and bison, squirt tubes and so much more. I’ve done many rescues of hundreds of different animal species and always will support this company.

I've had dogs my whole life and always gave them the same cheap food that my parents bought growing up.. This year we got our new very energetic German/Dutch Shepherd puppy and did our research on what food would give her the best start in life. The articles we read suggested the Purina One brand and although we started with the Lamb puppy food (which she also loved), we recently switched to this one specific for large breeds and it is definitely her favourite one we've tried. With her being a big growing girl, she eats a lot, and we feel more comfortable knowing she has a food that is made for her and her vitamin needs. We are confident it is worth the slightly higher price than off brand food. (This review is fully my own opinion and I stand by it)

I have two blackmouth cur mix puppies who wandered into my yard at around eight weeks of age and have been eating Purina One + since. It was important to me to ensure they had really great nutrition to start them off for a lifetime of good health.Now, at 10 months, I'm having a few minor issues. My male started having constipation issues at around eight months, and I have since been adding several tablespoons of pumpkin to each feeding. This resolved the constipation, but he's still really gassy. Otherwise, he loves his food and his condition is wonderful. He's filled out with a beautifully shiny coat and strong, white teeth. Her energy is high, and she is focused on her training to become a medical service dog.I still recommend this food at this time, as does my veterinarian. I do, however, supplement with human foods that are healthy for dogs such as cucumbers, eggs, ham, lean beef, pineapple, strawberries and melons, so it is only fair to mention that when stating their condition.

This is one of the best foods for your pets. Over the years I have tried a number of other products, some really expensive, great smell, and appealing. However, all my furr friends/family members prefer Purina One. They love it so much that it can be used when they are Puppies, until they become Seniors. Best selection, best ingredients, best overall food, price can be a bit high, with hardly ever any coupons. But for the Big Smiles, and Wagging Tails, we keep coming back. Our most recent pup has done well and he was a neglect case as a baby. He is now 10 months old. We bought the last bag a month ago and since the latest bag he slowly quit eating. First I just thought maybe he was slowing down on his growth but by last week he was barely eating breakfast and only if it was in a treat puzzle. Last week he started throwing up bile occasionally but I thought it was just because he wasn't eating. We tried pumpkin and all the tricks we knew. He has what looks like iron deficiency anemia and low potassium from diarrhea and vomiting but otherwise seemed fine. I looked up and saw the toxic vit D recall in another purina dry dog food distributed roughly the same time we bought our bag and it all fit. We changed his food to another brand I prefer with GI issues but they are pricier. Even with the sudden switch we almost instantly saw an increase in appetite and some increase in energy. If that is it or anything else related to the formula of that bag it will take a little bit to rebuild his gut health but I'm just glad he's moving in the right direction. Puppies are fine until they aren't and once they aren't there is usually so little you can do to fix it.Our vet is checking more labs in the AM. we saved the bag but are FOR SURE switching dog food for rescue pups. I'm trying to find out if there is something that I can do with that to make sure. This kid has been through enough and I'm so angry you let them be your canary in the coal mine before you do enough testing on your product. I made sure this was detailed because if this is related to the food and it's happened to you too, you should know.
We received a package (Gift from Chewy) yesterday for Tug (German Shepherd puppy) and want you to know the ball he received is currently his favorite toy. Only one problem with it. It somehow finds its way under every piece of furniture in our family room and he is relentless in his pursuit for it until one of us retrieve it for him. Needless to say ,we were busy all afternoon finding his ball. The gift is a wonderful surprise and joy for him but if I may suggest a slightly larger one for house play so he can retrieve it himself from his roll around game. Not only did cost of the food almost double, but it was going to be delayed shipping and she would have run out of food. I had no choice but to get her something. We’ve tried every brand imaginable within the price range I can afford. It’s actually 40lbs for about 60 bucks instead of 25lbs for 50 to 60 bucks. All are thriving. I had quit using Purina, due to digestive issues with Pro Plan. Went to Diamond Naturals and that worked until we got a bad bag.. tried SO many brands and went back to Purina One!
