Pyrex Simply Store Rectangular Storage Container 1.5L Blue

We have an entire cabinet drawer full of just glass Pyrex storage containers, and let me tell you, it’s for a good reason. The glass storage bowls and containers are super convenient, because you can microwave them or even put them in the oven, and have the convenience of being able to just snap a lid on top of it for storage and leftovers. We use these a lot for storing leftovers from dinner - we just plop the food right in there, cap it up, put it in the fridge, take it out the next day, take the lid off, and put it directly into the microwave. I can’t recommend these enough

My friend gifted me one of these, I hadn’t previously seen dishes with lids . But this one is a game changer. This is a great size for us and when I batch cook I can put the extra portion in here and then pop it straight in the freezer .I love how you don’t have to create more washing up as normally you have to transfer your food into an overnight proof dish. The indentations on the lids make these stackable too. A perfect kitchen essentials.

This is my go-to dish to use for almost everything. The thick quality of the glass is really nice. Perfect size for making my Chinese steamed cake. I love how it's easy to clean. I soak it in hot soapy water and everything comes out easily. Absolutely a great buy for meal planning. But the only negative thing i can say there is a weird chemical smell from the plastic lid. It’s time to fulfill my Chinese Turnip Cake (Lo Bak Go) cravings. However, the ones in restaurants definitely skimp on the filling ingredients. Most of what I get is rice flour and starch. On the other hand,they are typically not vegan-friendly due to the inclusion of Chinese Lap Cheong sausage, dried scallops and shrimp, but I've substituted savory preserved radish, dried mushroom,garlic ... MoreThis is my go-to dish to use for almost everything. I made it much more healthy than the normal meat one. It is simple with nothing fancy but the flavor is so strong! Good, is it?

Advertised product not received.

This product was advertised as 6 storage containers and only 1 was shipped. Your seller is now telling me this was a mistake and I am only getting 1 container. I advised they should be honoring the product as advertised and I believe you also should honor your advertised product. Additionally, this one container priced at $17.99 is too expensive for the product. I would appreciate it if you would please reply and advise when the additional 5 containers will be shipped to complete the order as advertised when purchased. Thank you.

Excellent containers

Exactly as expected. I love these pyrex containers because they are dishwasher safe and have multiple uses. I use them for leftovers and send them to work with my husband. This size is excellent for lunch as it is large and deep.

Great lids after a run through the dishwasher

Initially the lids were very loose, the lip was not engaging the glass tightly. We ran the lids through the dishwasher on the top shelf with heated dry enabled. After that the lids had the right shape and grip the glass correctly.

Mixed Feelings

Firstly, I APPLAUD Corelle/ Pyrex for not farming out their fulfillment to Amazon for many reasons.Secondly, I EXHORT Corelle/Pyrex to avoid dousing their warehouses in toxic fragrance/ cleaners/ pesticides/ biocides/ mildewcides/ etc. and thank them for limiting this assault on health. Otherwise I would have had to return these products immediately.Thirdly, I encourage the company to consider using plastics that off-gas (or out-gas, if you prefer the term) less than these lids. While they are not contaminated from external chemicals, the plastic itself will likely need to off gas for at least 6 months before I can bring into my home. The glass was able to be washed and used immediately.Thus, the mixed , yet honest review.

Perfect sustainable food storage solutiuon

A few years ago, I eliminated all my plastic storage containers in favor of round glass Pyrex bowls with lids. I love them and use them for pretty much everything. But, the round shape didn't always work for items like pizza, lunch meats, or some leftovers. Then I discovered that there were rectangular containers as well. I bought 2 in each of the 3 sizes. This big one is perfect for slices of pizza, cake, even melon wedges - things I typically used Ziploc bags for. Yes, the glass is heavy, but it's a sustainable means of storage that keeps food fresh and helps me cut down on plastic bags. I love them.

Pyrex lids

The lid, along with the lids of all the other size containers are highly disappointing. I have bought many extra lids in the past few years because they all crack. Buying the brand name because they are supposed to be of better quality is no longer the case! Extremely disappointing. It appears it time to change brand!

Wonderful Storage

I just love this brand and the variety of storage sizes available. The possibilities are endless with what they can be used for. I purchased the 11 cup size as I found this one ideal for my homemade broth storage. I freeze it in silicone ice cube trays. Then when I pop them out, this is perfect for me to keep them. I found that I can fit the same amount in the 11-cup size as I would in a gallon-sized plastic bag. Advantages the 11 cup size doesn't wear like a plastic bag, stores easier and better on the environment.
