My wife bought these speakers for me as an early Christmas present after we moved house. We wondered about purchasing floor standing speakers but, in the end, decided that the Q Acoustics Q3020i beautifully adorn our new lounge without dominating the room. We also carefully read reviews of many speakers and were drawn to these. The performance does not disappoint. It is hard to find reviews written with lovers of classical music particularly in mind but I want to say that the Q Acoustrics Q3030i give a realistic sound stage and a clarity that is a step up from my older Mordent Short speakers. This year the sub failed and so I decided to upgrade it to to the 3060s - wow what an upgrade. Then a month ago I decided to upgrade the centre speaker to the 3090Ci. This was also a big jump in quality which left me with "no alternative" but to upgrade the front speakers as well. I'd been using the 1010i speakers and I thought I'd replace them with the 3010i but, after negotiations and reading many reviews, I actually bought the 3020i - slightly bigger box, slightly larger drivers; I was very glad I got them. The clarity of the sound is fabulous and the slightly larger drivers really help out the low mids. The 3060S working with a pair of 3020i is a joy to behold - delivering music with real boldness, clarity & presence. Some of my 5.1 movies sound utterly astounding. Movies like "Dredd" and "The Rise of Skywalker" put you into the centre of a tightly-controlled maelstrom of sound with equal clarity given to the delicate tiny sounds, whispers, vocals, background sounds/music, weapons fire and the huge explosions. Sometimes the soundtrack is so exciting that I'm completely distracted from the movieI've always felt that a hifi setup should grow over time, each step a noticeable step forward so as to make the owner really appreciate the upgrade. Whilst I've been very pleased with my old system for many years, I love the way all my upgrades have absolutely lifted the system to a whole new level. I'm definitely a fan of Q Acoustics. At some point I'll undoubtedly complete the upgrade and replace the rear speakers with a pair of 3010i - no need for the presence of the 3020i there - but not this year... probably

I have paired the W Acoustics with a Marantz PM5005 amplifier, a Project Carbon turntable and QED interconnects and XT25 speaker cable. The speakers are sat on the W Acoustics 3000 series stands and I am so pleased with the sound quality.The speakers were an upgrade from a good quality pair of Missions that sounded great and probably cost 3 times the cost of these W Acoustics 3020i’s but what a step change in sound.Really open and detailed, crisp and sharp sounding, very natural and packing more than enough bass.They are warm with most string instruments and piano and synth sound great. Back in 1976 I bought some excellent speakers and have been listening tothem ever since. In January the nid-range on one of them failed. I wentto RicherSounds to ask advice on repair and they were extremely helpfuleven before knowing I was going to buy anything.Needing something to listen to for the time being I asked advice and bought these as a cheap stop-gap. Considering they were one of the lowest price options available the quality has surprised me and I will be more thanhappy to listen to them.

We are impressed with the build quality and love the design of these speakers, In the rounded edge design, driver surrounds and the extremely neat connection area .They seem to be punching about their weight in terms of cost, but they are still £169 speakers and are lacking a really solid and well defined bass on some modern bass heavy tracks. Dusting off my old vinyl and decided to go for the Q Acoustics 3020i’s. I had a limited space for the set up and needed relatively small speakers. These are so clear and pack quite a punch for their size. Really pleased with the quality of the build and sound.Staff at Richer Sounds in Manchester were very helpful and gave me a great deal. Bought a Marantz NR1200 receiver which I took same day - the speakers weren’t available in the shop but were delivered the following day Great service and happy to recommend the shop and the equipment.
I purchased the speakers to complete the set up that i have recently purchased from Richer Sounds Sheffield. ProJect 1 turntable in walnut, Yamaha amp/dab radio and now the Acoustics 3020i speakers. The sound output is superb, I have replaced a set of old B and W speakers which I thought were quite good but how wrong I was.On all 3 visits to the store the service and knowledge was excellent, understood the needs and signposted to the best product to suit (upselling on the amp as I only went in for a Cambridge and left with a Yamaha ).Nowadays it's so easy to buy things through a well known on line business and receive it very quickly but nothing beats experience, knowledge and service.Thanks Ollie and the Team.Customer for life.
I bought a pair of these speakers a couple of weeks ago to replace an old Bose pair and subwoofer that I use in conjunction with a Denon Ceol Piccolo network receiver. I use this both for listening to music and enhancing television sound. The difference in terms of quality of sound is huge with previously unheard details coming through even at lower volumes. They give a warm and resonant sound, with the bass being ever present whilst staying natural. They seem to suit the acoustic instruments found in jazz I.e. piano, acoustic bass, saxophones etc, giving a warm, live sound. When listening to Latin, African music, all of the rhythmic detail is present without being distracting and tiring. I paired these speakers with a Tangent Ampster BT as an upgrade for my kitchen sound system and really pleased with the results. The placement of the speakers is far from ideal - up on the walls above the high cabinets using the matched 3000WB brackets. But using the supplied bass port baffles, the low frequencies don't overwhelm things providing a nice taut and punchy sound with the bass my previous system was really missing.Really impressed with the quality from the moment the box arrived. Well packaged with a feeling of quality that belies the relatively low price. Really clear instructions and a design that sets these speakers apart from many at this price point.

The build quality is solid, their depth and weight is reassuring and they are easy to connect.I'm driving these with my trusty old Rotel RA930-AX which I bought from Richer Sounds back in the 90's and they seem to compliment each other well.Compared to my old speakers, I've now got better bass extension , it's tight and articulate and not flabby. The mid range is detailed but I find the treble a tad clinical and lacks sweetness. Having said that, I've only had them a week or so and they are still settling in at the moment.
