Works great and fanless which is nice. It is probably on the bigger side for an 8 port cause on being fanless multi-gig though
I wised for at least 1 more 10GB Ethernet port but maybe that's not possible with the current technology without a fan.

I am a big fan of QNAP and this switch is exactly what I needed at home. The 2 "10 Gb" ports are enough for my needs and honestly I don't have any higher demand than 2.5 Gb.... I purchased 2 units of this switch and I connect them to each other using 1 of the 10 Gb. It works perfectly.I am a little bit intrieged regarding the overall performance of the network. I did notice some "grasps" im perfornance, but this is a subjective impression from using Web browsers and how some pages and pictures are updated. Using some objective measures, though, I could not find anything tangible "yet".One point that was not clear was related to any potential patch or firmware upgrade, even though this is a unmanaged switch.
