It secures by inserting into the fork stem tube and incorporates a state-of-the-art gimbal adaptor at the base for free front-to-back movement. Bought this for my 2021 Ninja 400 ABS after originally using the handlebar mount. (Anyone that knows this bike knows it doesn’t have a lot of great room for a clamp style phone mount) and the fork stem fit and works perfectly! The smaller size adapter is all you need. Just pop off the plastic top on the fork stem, slide the mount in, (unscrew the stuff off the mount), and then tighten it.It adjusts to fit the fork stem perfectly. Now it is quite low from your field of vision compared to a handlebar mount and most phones will cover the ignition spot a bit, but it’s not too bad, and you can easily see it with the phone off. The quality and idea of the quad lock system is awesome! Setup was super easy and took a few minutes to install without the charger. I use it every ride and it makes sure that my phone is securely in front of me. The case they made for my iPhone works very well and protects my phone from accidental drops.I have used the vibration dampener as well as the charger (not on my bike but someone else’s) charger worked great but I think the vibration dampener is a little gimmicky for Street riders. If you ride off road it makes more sense.Lastly the magnetic case, I was hoping it would replace my magbak case but it’s not as strong of a magnet. It's awesome. It mounts rock solid in the fork stem, and once adjusted and tightened down, it's extremely rigid. I have absolutely zero worries about losing my phone on the highway. The mount and the case are 100%, highly recommend.I do have a single gripe with the vibration mount - it seems "loose". It's clipped together around the edges, but has rubber isolator mounts that actually support your phone. I love the design, but it seems like it could fit together just a little bit tighter. It's a bit wobbly.That being said, the vibration mount is basically mandatory if you have a modern smartphone, and it doesn't make me concerned about it falling off or anything, but with the quality and fitment of the rest of the items I got from Quad Lock, the vibration mount ... MoreIt's awesome. I already had the first model fork stem mount in combination with the vibration dampener and was really content with it. Once I discovered the Pro version was available in aluminium I decided to order it and it looks/fits my bike even better. Thanks to the design you can choose to mount it without the middle arm part and it wobbles less now. I must be honest to say I creatively modified both versions to install it on a different position/surface than meant to be... NEAT STIRDY SAFE COMPACT

This is about the 6th quadlock product I've purchased and so far the worst one ( not saying its terrible, just the others have been great! )A sports bike cockpit can be a busy and precise space, with steering dampers, ignition barrels etc.I found this product very difficult to position and felt limited on its mobility. I have the vibration damper and wireless charging head.
I've owned the previous stem mount that unfortunate didn't fit my new motorcycle.So I purchased the Pro version and it fits the 2022 Suzuki GSX1300R perfectly. It's compatible with all the other QL products (vibration dampener and the wireless charger). I also have the Quad lock case for my mobile device that fits perfectly still.The Pro mount has a terrific quality, is easy to install and the results are great as expected.
I found that the fork stem mount is not very functional friendly. When I was installing the fork mount onto my bike the 3 small metal pieces were not cooperating. Every time I would try and tighten the mount the metal pieces would fall down into the stem which was very frustrating. Very poorly planning on how this device should function. So I never ended up installing the quadlock on my motorcycle. Very disappointed and the worst $160 I've ever spent!
The quadlock is a great invasion and works real good, easy to use and looks just fine. It feels like good quality when you use it.I bought a quadlock with a damper for my yamaha mt-01, a bike with heavy vibrations, and it works excellent!Now i bought this one the "stirmount" for my Yamaha fjr1300 and I bet it works as good as any quadlock on bikes with that kind of mounting possibility.But it sadly doesnt fit my fjr1300... I bought the wrong one for this bike. I hope that Quadlock will make some kind of mount for my bike in the future, that way I will by it instantly.
I ordered the fork stem mount for my Kawasaki zx6r after reading positive reviews.After installation I took the bike out for a quick ride to test it out. One positive thing is that it is very secure which is the main purpose of the mount I suppose BUT.... during the ride I felt my phone and the intense vibrations travelling through the mount to my phone caused me some concern - I got back home and removed the phone from the mount and all seemed fine with the phone despite the high intensity vibrations during the ride.
