I installed 4 interconnecting alarms in 2020. One went into "error" mode in 2021 and another in 2022, and troubleshooting guide does not resolve. Quell will not process a warranty claim unless you post it to them interstate at your expense.

We replaced our old smoke detectors with this product a few months ago and installed 9 in total. So far, we have removed 7 of them as they go off randomly and are difficult to stop. They will go off for absolutely no reason during both day and night. Will be asking Bunnings for a full refund for this crap product.

The lithium battery is a good idea but this product simply isn't fit for purpose in Australia as it gives false alarms every time the humidity climbs. Not cool when it happens in the middle of the night. Too bad I didn't keep my receipt as this was a waste of money.

The bedroom and kitchen alarms constantly go off for now reason. Have installed them as per instructions.
Bought a bunch of these a few months ago, and they're all in a zip-lock bags in the cupboard, because they go off randomly a couple of times a week. Contacted Quell support, who were lovely, but just said that it's probably dust causing them to go off, which doesn't really help. For what it's worth, they keep going off every so often in the zip-lock bags too.
This is the second Quell alarm we have had in our house, I should have learnt my lesson after the first one. The best place I found for this alarm is in a zip lock bag wrapped up in a beach towel stuffed into a cupboard in the garage, if you put it on the ceiling, you're guaranteed that it will get you out of bed at 2am to let you know your house isn't on fire. I also replaced a neighbors hard wired alarm with quell hard wired and she also has the same issues. You contact quell and their automatic response is that it must have dirt or a insect in it, so you go through the troubleshooting process to no avail. I have been advised that these alarms don't like humidity,
I read other reviews so was mindful to drill a pilot hole before using the plastic screw and plugs. Have also kept my receipt just in case it doesn't last the 10 years as advertised.
A great smoke alarm to replace old battery smoke alarms. This Alarm is reccemendaed by the fire brigade and has a 10 year lithium battery that does not need to be replaced. After 10 years the alarm will beep and let you know it's time to replace the while unit.
I purchased 20 of these in July for my motel.5 have since become a nuisance warning issue.
