Its long length offers serious protection from the cold and its tall collar is nice and soft around your neck. While the stretch inner cuffs that accommodate your thumbs are a nice touch, I will be supplementing them almost of the time with my black Rab Power Stretch Contact Grip Gloves or my wonderfully padded Rab Khroma Freeride GTX Gloves in Firecracker orange. The zip is easy to adjust due to its large zipper tag even with gloves on.I bought it in a size medium (colour: Deep Denim with the yellow lining) and like that it still has room to manoeuvre underneath. I can wear my business suit jacket underneath or even add my Rab Electron vest when itās particularly cold. I'm a UK size 12 and the medium fits me perfectly. Iām 5ā11ā and it comes down almost to my knees. When I get to wear this outside, Iāll likely almost always fully zip the jacket when Iām wearing it, that way I donāt need a scarf and it keeps the wind completely out. After all youāre wearing a long Winter jacket for a reason right?Iāll probably wear this jacket as a casual jacket rather than while camping but it is a beautiful jacket and I love its longer length. On separate occasions I have brought my Rab Infinity G jacket, Electron jacket or Axiom Pro jacket while camping. On those extra cold nights, they are very useful to wear zipped up in your sleeping bag. This Deep Cover might be even better due to its longer length. You might not even need the sleeping bag with this jacket.I should have mentioned like any down jacket you can benefit by putting it on and zipping it up (the higher the better) about 5 minutes before you head outdoors. This allows the down to absorb your body heat in advance of being outside. The pockets are really warm with their soft lining and absorb your body heat from the baffles on the front of the jacket (inside and out).I really donāt like when the wind gets up your sleeves or into your gloves but that wonāt happen with this jacket. The elastic stretch cuffs at the end of the sleeves will stop this.I donāt recommend wearing this jacket when you are sitting down. This can cause the down to lose itās puffiness and the jacket will become flatter in the places where it is being compressed.Overall, its an excellent jacket that Iām looking forward to wearing in the Autumn and Winter. Thanks for reading.

The color combination and style of this jacket is really great. But it doesn't move with your body in a way that feels right. I only wore it around the house walking around to try it out, and in a few short minutes, I could see the coat and zipper around the tops of the thighs were already starting to crease, creating a pouch in the stomach area. It seemed impossible to sit comfortably or get into a larger vehicle without having to unzip the whole thing. I'm petite and the coat was not tight, but constricting for normal movement. Returning.

I love this down coat! Love! Love! Love! It is warm, lightweight and flattering. The best part is that it fits comfortably through my arms, shoulders and chest with a sweater on. The sleeves are plenty long and have thumb holes that are very comfortable. The pockets are deep and ample. I cannot believe how warm it is while still being flattering. I am 5'4" about 115-120 pounds and ordered a small.

I have been wanting a long down coat for a couple of years, but was hesitant to pay the money. I purchased the Magic Long parka when it was on sale in November, but didn't like the fit. I tried this coat on in the store when I returned it, and loved it. The coat is expensive, but comparable to other high quality brands. I got the graphene and love the color and contrast with the red. I have been wearing it non-stop for 2 weeks. I love everything about it. I am toasty warm in sub-20 degree weather. The coat is comfortable with just a smart wool shirt, or with layers. The sleeves are a great length and the pockets are warm and comfy. Tried a few other name brand jackets and was disappointed but this one checked all the boxes. I have long arms but a small frame was happy that the arms were actually long enough and the thumb holes in the cuffs are awesome. It is a good weight and keeps the wind out. Love the two way zipper which makes it easy to drive and sit in. I was at first turned off by the fur trim but in person I really like it and bonus it is easily removed with hidden snaps. And finally it is actually flattering, or as my husband said āthe most flattering wearable sleeping bag you have tried onā. Love this jacket keeps me warm and looks good. For reference I am 5ā9ā and 132lbs and the small fits perfect.
Perfect weight, and I love the length! Helps to keep my thighs warm. And the ruff around the face is great when it's windy out. The fit is good- slightly large, but then I can layer under it. The only thing I would change would be to have a way to cinch the coat in around the waist when not wearing layers. Otherwise, I love this coat. Worth the cost!
Yes, it feels thin when you first put it on. But don't be fooled! I've worn this coat in 20 degrees F with biting wind, and been nice and toasty. Love the option of the removable hood, and removable faux fur on the hood itself. Length for me hits just above the knees. And I finally found a winter coat with sleeves long enough for my abnormally long arms, where the thumb-holes are at the proper length and don't pull. Seriously, perfect winter coat.
I couldn't be happier with this coat. It fits me so well and it is very flattering. I am cold all the time so it's nice to not have a cold draft come up from the bottom and the sleeves have an inner cuff that fits snuggly around my wrist so there is no place for air to seep in. I like that the hood is removal and the zipper works in both directions so when I sit down I can open the bottom for more leg room. The zipper catches sometimes so I'm hoping that doesn't become a problem down the road because I hope to keep this coat forever. Overall I highly recommend it.
To add to my previous review of this jacket which I bought last year, from the moment you zip this jacket up, you can tell it offers serious protection from the cold.I will add that I have grown to like it even more. Itās a very warm coat and I love how long it is. Those that have really liked it and some even bought their own! I own 14 other down jackets from Rab and 2 Rab synthetic fill jackets but I think because this is my longest length Rab jacket, it got more attention.I bought it in a size medium (colour: Deep Denim with the yellow lining) and like that it still has room to manoeuvre underneath. On the colder days it was convenient to wear my Rab Electron Pro or Rab Cirrus vest underneath. When reaching my destination, I could take off the big Deep Cover Parka and still have a warm and comfortable vest on to wear more casually. I tried to wear my very puffy Rab Neutrino vest under the Deep Cover Parka but that vest was just too puffy to fit comfortably underneath this size medium parka.I found the coat very stylish to wear and love itās flattering fit. I love touching the smooth Pertex Quantum material of this coat. The yellow inner lining is also gorgeously smooth. The only cons I have found with this coat are that the stretch inner cuffs donāt allow access to your wristwatch. Even if you take your fingers out of the cuff you still can reach your watch, unless your take the coat off!The hood is however a big disappointment. It does have a nice filling of down inside which also makes it nice and comfortable, but I found it easily blew off in the wind and the hood cinch cords made almost no difference when fully tightened. The hood would frequently fill with cold air from the winds (you canāt adjust the hoods volume), cancelling out the entire reason for wearing it.The faux fur trim is nice but doesnāt make up for this. This is a shame because itās a lovely coat which I enjoy wearing. Itās a shame too since the hoods of my Rab Axion Pro jacket, Pulsar jacket, Electron Pro and Microlight Summit jackets are really warm and comfortable and really add to the warmth of the jackets. But those hoods have volume adjusters, their cinch cords work better and in the case of all those jackets (except the Microlight Summit jacket) are more generously filled with down than the Deep Cover Parkaās hood.Donāt get me wrong, this is still a beautiful coat that I still love wearing but it could be much better with a volume adjuster on its hood and if the hood cinch cords worked better to stop the cold air from entering.I hope these extra details to add to my last review are still useful. Thank you.
I needed a longer coat and ended up loving this one. It just feels wonderful. I have long arms so was super happy with the arm length and the liner that extends around the wrist. Even though it's puffy, it hugs the body so is still flattering. I will say that feathers tend to poke through - which can be uncomfortable. Not a lot of feathers coming through all the time, but often enough to note here. Fill is partially recycled down - maybe that's the reason? Overall I love this coat except for the occasional pokes from feathers.
