I'm a firm believer in Rain-X Glass Treatment, and have used it for decades on car and truck windshields and other glass surfaces. I've found this product, "X-Treme Clean" to provide a very effective and thorough deep clean on windshields and glass not completely cleaned by other glass cleaners.The product goes on like a polish, and is rubbed in by hand. Best results are obtained by circular motions applying the product in a thin film which dries to a haze. Like wax or polish, it is then removed by polishing with a dry cloth, terrycloth or microfiber providing the best results. It was my good fortune to receive a product for review that I'm so familiar with and a fan of! WalMart (who provided the bottle for my review) had no way of knowing that I am a long-time Rain-X user, and very familiar with their product line.Bottom line: once you start using Rain-X products to clean your automotive glass and improve poor weather visibility, you will almost certainly continue to use it regularly. My pilot friends swear by it for aircraft windshields, and I've used it on boats too.

Not a big fan of rain-x products as they tend to leave a residue in the long run due to their silicone base. After using rain-x windshield washer for years, I was left with a crazy residue on my windhield that would make it hard to see at night when it rained. Ironically, nothing would take it away, and I now believe this has done the job - waiting for a rainy night to confirm, but I coul see water bead off the windshield (as a normal untreated windshield would) - I believe it's now fixed.Also helped a bit on a hazed headlight, but sanding was required for the tougher spots.

Literally the worst glass cleaner. It’s like a thick paste so spreading it on glass was difficult and after I wiped as much as I could there was parts of the cleaner that dried off and the only way to remove it was by adding water and after my glass wasn’t really any cleaner. I then used rain X original and that was good. I suppose it’s better suited for hazed headlights but mine aren’t so I can’t comment on that.

Rain-X X-Treme Clean is the best product to make great looking headlights. My headlights were dull and the light beams were very dull and you couldnt hardly see any light come from them at night, but when I used Rain-X X-Treme Clean it looked like brand new headlights when I got done using it. New headlights are very expensive for my truck so I wanted a cheaper way that works and this was that. My family thought I bought new headlights I told them no I didnt I just used Rain-X X-Treme Clean and it worked miracles on my dull looking headlights it made them look new. I have used other headlight cleaners before this that didnt do a very good job like Rain-X X-Treme Clean did. I was so happy with the ending results from this product. Works well. Removes old Rain-X in addition to accumulated road grime. I accidentally put way too much Rain-X on a way too hot windshield and created a mess. This removed it when other glass cleaners wouldn't. It appears to be a combination of some sort of detergent and a polishing compound. You need plenty of water to rinse it off after scrubbing your windshield. This my new go-to cleaner before applying Rain-X.
Bought this stuff to try and get rid of windshield wiper streaks from my vehicle's windshield. In short, it worked pretty good. Not perfectly, which means that more work will be needed on my part, but in the end, the outside of my windshield is clearer and the streaks from the wipers are not nearly as visible as they were before. This product requires a lot of elbow grease and the application directions are very important as the residue is hard to remove from the seals and rubber trim around the glass.

Rain-X X-Treme cleaner works amazingly well to remove the road grit, salt residue, bugs, and haze on my headlights and windshield. The cleaner is easy to apply but can dry quickly and takes some rubbing to remove. I wiped it on with a damp microfiber cloth in small circular motions until the whole area was covered. Then I used another damp microfiber cloth and water to remove it and buffed it afterward with a dry cloth. Like I said, it takes a bit of rubbing but it makes a really big difference in the clarity of my windshield and headlights and will hopefully keep them cleaner and less grimy going forward. RainX Xtreme clean. Wow wow wow! My husband and i used this on 3 of our vehicles headlights. Of 6 lenses 5 came out 100% better. One cover just has some kind of issue (probably on the inside of the light) but other than the one lense we were IMPRESSED. We ALSO used the rain X Xtreme clean on the windshield and side windows of our Ford truc, that carriers our cabover camper. When it rains it runs some of the white camper paint or whatever is running down the windshields. We struggled with seeing out the window on our last couple road/camping trips we tried window cleaners but they weren't a sucess. tried this out today on our 1998 Toyota Camry.works great and easy to use. I just poured a little dab on a old towel, using circular motion worked it around and around on about half of the headlight. could see the discoloration disappearing as i used it. did the same for the other half and a nice shiny like-new headlight was there.for the second headlight i tried it a bit different, i smeared the Rain-x compound over the entire headlight and let it sit for a few minutes, then started with a fresh dab of compound , using the circular motions and it seemed easier to rub off the discoloration. we now have 2 clear and bright headlights. works great and easy to use. none of the multiple applications and buffing like so many of the other products require. see the ... Moretried this out today on our 1998 Toyota Camry.works great and easy to use.
