Rain-X Washer Fluid Additive 500ml (RX11806D)

Received product with proper seal applied. No leakage found. Free gift was a disappointment though. The cloth material is rough and not suitable for washing car. Makes a good rag cloth to wipe other things though.The wiper fluid though is genuine and in this rainy season it works as advertised. Wipers now don't make any annyoing sound.

I followed the instructions for this product, but after using it, I've got a spotty mess to clean up on my non-wiped windshield area, and my whole roof (including my moon roof glass). Possibly the user needs to clean the vehicle first, and then do a Rain-X treatment on the vehicle's windshield and roof BEFORE using this additive in the washer fluid. However, the instructions don't mention this preparation at all.

If I could I would give no stars.

Bought this product because I had bought other Rain-x product in the past and they had worked well, this product on the other hand is terrible. Followed the instructions and now I’ve spent the last couple of weeks flushing it out of the system and what’s worst is that the rear washer is clogged up by the biofilm that grew. It left a greasy film on the windscreen that I had to use other products to wash it off.

Rain-X products are the Bomb.

Can't fault this product at getting the rain to run off the windscreen quicker than the wipers. I've had days driving in the rain where I've been able to run them on intermittent rather than full speed. Before I added this product to my washer bottle my new Kia Rio was struggling. The wipers would clear it but as soon as they'd passed it was almost impossible to see. I'd tried various other products cleaning and polishing the glass in case there was still some sort of transit film over it to no avail.

Seems like a good idea and alternative to the original Rain-X wipe it on, and remove it product. This does repel the rain BUT be aware of a few hiccups.When you put on your windshield washer for the first few wipes you will get a white smeary looking haze on your windshield. After a few wipes it will go away, but this can be concerning the first time you do it - especially on a dark road in the rain. Second issue is sometimes you will get some gray spots on the paint, especially on the roof. I am a food delivery driver and I often work when it's dark out and during winter it snows a lot. The day I received the Rain-X in the mail I immediately Put 1/3 of the bottle it my newly filled washer fluid tank. I sprayed it a few times and noticed the difference right away. My windshield had been quite dirty from a snow storm the day before that I had barely scrapped off with a gas station squeegee. These was a clear line showing where the wipers has cleaned my windshield with the Rain-X vs. the gas station squeegee around the edges that the wipers don't get. My windshield was crystal clear while the rest of my car was dirty. I continued to spray the fluid during the night while I was out driving and it continued to snow. I might try refilling or using more since it does work well, just not as long as stated maybe. Also store the bottle right side up, do not allow to lay down. This washer fluid additive works well on a rainy day. It is too bad we have not had much snow around here this winter to really put it to the test. However, after using this fluid, I noticed that the rain drops bead nicely on the windshield and fall away. The solution mixes easy with your standard washer fluid. It did not have a chemical smell to it either. I did not try it with water alone because I never use water as washer fluid for fear it will freeze in the winter. I suspect that the rain drops would still bead when using water alone but the dirt in the windshield may remain or be smeared. You only need four ounces of Rain-X per gallon of windshield fluid. The Rain-X washer fluid additive is a lot easier to use. Just add four ounces to 1 gallon of windshield washer fluid, which can be any type of windshield washer fluid. I received the Rain-x washer fluid additive. I absolutely love all Rain-x products. I have a truck with horrible windshield wipers. I poured this into the washer fluid and it made an incredible difference in the clarity of the windshield while it was in the rain. Not long after I added the fluid, my windshield wipers stopped working completely. I had the fluid additive in the washer tank and I coated the windshield with the regular Rain-x and I was able to drive through the one of the worst rainstorms with no worries about my wipers working at all. The rain just glided right off the windshield in big droplets. Its more effective the faster you go.
