I wish I had this tool before. It's crazy that this tool isn't available online or thru a home improvement store. The spoon like shape at the top of the handle help in getting dirt out of the bottom of the sprinkler. It would be better if the shape was a little bit larger and concave for better scooping.

I have the tool "somewhere" but needed to work on the 14 pop-up units in the yard. So I ordered a new one. The rainbird MG4 units we have, were installed 20 yrs ago. Need to do some maintenance.

Thanks to the magic of YouTube videos I was able to find out what kind of parts I needed to repair my system..... after searching online the easiest way to order them was from RainBird directly. The order was fulfilled quickly and my system is up and running again thanks to this fantastic tool and system.

When I put in my sprinkler system 16 years ago Rainbird sprinklers were made in the USA. When I bought replacements a few years later they were made in Mexico. Within the last 8-10 years the sprinklers all come from China. The quality has gotten worse, I'm having to make more replacements and I'm at wits end. I'm now systematically switching to MP Rotator sprinklers but this requires a lot of digging.
Wish I had discovered this years ago! Saves having to dig broken sprinkler cartridges out of the ground. A great time saver!

Have used Rainbird Maxipaw pop ups for last 30 years. Very reliable using river water and need little to no repairs. Replacements are always available when required. May they be produced for many years to come.
