Looking for raincoats for a rainy English summer holiday. Higher pricing doesn't always mean it's going to be good!! This coat had a mix of reviews, main being that it's oversized. Anyway, I bought my normal size and yes it was a bit big but good for wearing jumpers underneath, which is good because you'll probably need to! The actual material of the coat is very thin, so won't keep you warm. If you just want a rain coat then this is probably good for you, but just note that there's no warmth provided with this jacket. I returned it because it was big, and just really thin material. Ended up going with an asos own long rain coat, which was warm and fit well.

This rain coat is very practical and good quality. It’s very light and therefore easy to carry along. Also very light while wearing. It dries fast. The hood is long enough so no raindrop will fall on face. Best to wear late spring and summer, early autumn since it has no lining.

Very light, but waterproof jacket. I ordered this, along with the unisex version and they're exactly the same except for how the sizing is labelled.Good fit with plenty of space for layers underneath.I got this with 20% off and happy with it but wouldn't have paid full price as its quite steep!

Jacket is great and good quality. Loose fit perfect. I thought it was going to be too small bc XS/S was only available and I'm usually a 10 misses and like jackets to be loose, but it fits perfect :) IDK what Unisex sizing is but took a chance. Great price too. I haven't worn in rain yet, but inside seams are taped and RAINS is a quality brand.
This is a strange one to review as the coat looked quite stylish, however… firstly the sizing is crazy. I am a size 8-10 and ordered the XS-S which was still too big. The smallest size was sold out so I just returned it. I was going to wait until it came back in stock but I think for the price I could find much better than this. It wasn’t the best quality and the inside seams were jagged and hadn’t even been cut straight. I would also expect a zip on a raincoat not just poppers.Overall ok, but I would expect this jacket to be priced around half of what it is. I’m always happy to pay more for something if the quality shows, but it just seems like they have popped their label on a primark coat.
I have had a Rains waterproof for about 6 years, in an A-line shape, and it has done a reasonable job of keeping rain out. If it rains a lot, the material gets 'damp' and cold.This new one, I bought was too big, (Large is for 5'10" tall people, and always the sleeves are too long), I am only 5'2" and petit. I did not like the shape of jacket design on me anyway. A company designs something that works well, and then whoosh, off it goes and makes such shapeless jackets. Such a shame. For the young , not the old!
Not worn this yet, bought with discount in advance of the wetter Autumn months. But, looks great, love the cut and the fit. It's quite oversized (I'm an 8/10 and the S is roomy) but I love that style. Agree with other reviewers that it feels like it's missing some lining, and it is very lightweight for the price. But, room to add layers underneath. Fingers crossed it keeps me dry!
I have been searching for a stylish light weight rain coat and here it is. Wanted to try a Rains coat so when I saw this in the sale and with another 20% off I went for it. Love the fit, the length, the colour. Yes it’s lightweight and I guess if it was full price it’s not a lot of coat for the money, but it looks so good over knits/sweatshirts when you just want a bit of cover. It’s my new favourite and want it it more colours now!
Excellent! Keeps me dry and there’s plenty of space for wearing thick jumpers underneath. Fits quite nicely. I believe these are all sold as mens sizes so DEFINITELY go smaller if buying for women sizing. I’m usually a size AUS 12 - 14 or M-L. I wanted a roomy fit with this rain jacket (so typically I would have picked size L) and I got exactly that with the S-M size. I’m so so so glad I went with smaller. The next size up, M-L, would have been a giant bag on me.
Very shocked at how this coat looked in person. Very thin and flimsy. The overall fit was odd also. My hands couldn’t reach the pockets which I’ve never experienced with a coat. All that for that price point?? No thanks. I returned it immediately
