The fit and finish of the Core line is hard to top for a jersey in this price range. They feel nice to wear, they perform well, and they look sharp as hell. When the hi-vis pink became available this season, I made sure to snatch one up. And I'm glad I did, because as soon as I set eyes on it, I fell in love. It is a beautiful garment. Truly. Breathable, comfortable, and great fit. I am 5'5" 145lbs and take a XS. The Core jerseys are pretty stretchy and airy so they make a great summer jersey or a layer for colder weather. The zippers are high quality and the jersey is offered in an array of colors but the colors are pretty monotone with no patterns offered. Also all of the core jerseys will have the white arm band. The three back pockets with a side zip are awesome and I commonly hold my keys and a small snack in them. Quality wise they seem to hold up, however one of my jerseys has a few pills even though I wash my cycling gear in laundry bags on delicate and air dry them.

This cycling jersey has a nice feel - soft on the skin and a light-medium weight. It is not as light weight as some of my jerseys and so is ideal for these slightly cooler spring days we have been having. The sizing is slightly on the generous size so I could possibly have gone down to a small but have never purchased a Rapha top before. It comes out a bit bigger than other brands I wear. I like the colour (blue) and the slightly higher neck than some of the hot weather cycling tops. Overall, it is a good mid-weight jersey at a good price.

The core jersey has a nice simple aesthetic—it’s obviously not trying to look like today’s pro jerseys. The fabric weight is good and they mostly seem durable enough. But I ABSOLUTELY HATE the gripper strip in the tail of the jersey. Just an awful design when it’s hot as it just forms some kind of sweat-trapping pocket causing sweat to pool back there and not allowing it to evaporate. A lot of clothing has gotten much better than when I started racing in the early 90s but this is disappointing.
Rapha's Core Jersey is my favorite cycling jersey I own. It has a premium feel that seems to be built to last. The zipper feels sturdy and the stitching feels tight and uniform. Has a very timeless style that comes in many colors and performs well in mild or hot weather. The fit runs a little small, so I have to size up from a Medium to a Large. However, the large fits perfectly on a 178cm/70kg frame. Accommodates my broad shoulders without pulling the sleeves up.
Let me start with the sizing. I'm 5'7" and weight 150 lbs so I ordered the Small jersey and it fits perfectly. Not too snug, not loose at all. So you can trust the sizing chart. The style: I ordered the red one, the color is nice and the fit is great so I can say it's a good looking jersey overall. The material: that's where I have some critics. Although the material is pretty decent, specially for this price, this is the first jersey I own that shows the sweat on it. You know those grey regular shirts that you use during the summer, that show every small sweat mark? So this one is the same. After riding 30 miles I stopped for a break and the jersey had sweat marks all over it. It may not be a big issue for some but I just don't like it at all! The part of the jersey that connects the sleeves to the rest of the jersey is constructed in a clever way so as not to force your arms to have to go through an insufficiently elastic circular seam. Rather, the seams run parallel to your shoulders and allow for an excess of shoulder/bicep/pec stretch in the jersey without suffocating your upper body.The downside is this construction leaves a bit of extra material around the collarbone area thatcan get a little flappy at high speeds (>30mph) making this jersey less than optimally efficient or whatever. I feel the comfort of this piece of kit far outweighs any downsides in aero.TLDR: get this jersey if your arms are big or dont fit comfortably in other jerseys.
It’s only snagging that coveted 4 star rating due to a small QC issue I had to fix on my own. There was an extra stitch in the track at the top of my zipper that impeded the zipper itself. I had to pop that extra stitch out and now it’s working as advertised. Otherwise it is a great jersey and the color fits perfectly with my green bibs. I can now live my dream of looking like an Oompah-Loompah when I zip by angry drivers at the local dormant volcano. Fit isn’t as snug as a race jersey and LOVE the zipper pocket on the core jersey. I liked this jersey so much I bought two as my training duds.
Perfect fit. Nice full colors. I ordered two of these. It was a pleasant surprise to see the zip pocket on the back. I would order again and recommend this item. I wish they sold some other colors like white, gray, dark gray, brown and a few other colors. I’m pleased with my color choices.
I like the jersey. The material is great with good stretch, nice rubberized rear tail to keep from inching up, and well constructed. The fit isn't great, though. On me, the jersey is very tight in the waist and loose in the chest. My body is more pear shaped than the slim models the jersey is obviously designed for. I would very much appreciate another line of clothing that used the same material and overall design, but proportioned for those who aren't as slim and trim.
