These are generally well made and fit acceptably, though I found the shoulder straps a bit tighter (i.e. made for a shorter person) than I prefer. I could live with this if the chamois were better. Without too much unfortunate detail, the chamois pattern has two very thick and puffy ridges that extend forward in parallel from the sit-bone area. I guess this is supposed to mimic an anatomic cut-out, but in my experience it just caused a lot of very unpleasant chafing. Definitely seems like they over-engineered this particular chamois.

I've been trying out different bibs from various companies. I judge all of them by fit, quality and feel. Rapha always beats them in all three categories. The quality is superb. Some of my Rapha bibs were bought pre-pandemic and I'm still using them. The fit is great especially around the groin region (not too tight, not loose and they don't look lopsided). And the feel...nice and soft. So why four stars? I'm a short guy, and these things always run a little long for my legs. Not terribly, but I like my bibs to stop a couple of inches above the knee. Rapha, please bring back the short inseams option. Not everybody is tall and skinny like a model.

Quality product as always. First bibs ive owned with a leg pocket. Nice to have. The quick drying pad has a little less cushion. Noticed it at mile 100. Not a great look for a product marketed as brevet. Will save for shorter or wet rides.

Bought these prior to the 2023 Triple Bypass ride in Colorado and the first thing I noticed was the high quality material. The fit was firm and comfortable. Rising 118 miles and climbing 10,800 vertical feet requires a great chamois and in this regard the Brevet bib shorts excelled. I also liked the extra pocket on the right thigh. After 9 hours and 47 minutes in the saddle, I crossed the finish line with a big smile.
Expert design and craftsmanship. Excellent quality. Generous fit - per description. Liking the front pocket I didn't think I would like. Super quick drying as advertised. Will be my go-to bib on my European tour this spring.
As a long time Rapha bib owner I found these a little worse than bibs I'd worn in the past. At this price point I would have assumed that taped seams would be a given. There were fine and the phone pocket is convenient, but I didn't find the shorts as well put together as other pairs I've owned and the product descriptions didn't make the differences particularly clear.
I picked these up prior to riding the Open Range 200k Gravel Race in Kansas. I am so happy I did. I have Core and Pro bibs and have been very happy with them. However, these Brevet Bibs are next level. I love that they also have the cargo pocket. It is really handy for snacks on the go vs reaching around to your back. The padding will keep you comfortable all day. I have some 12+ hour rides in them now and I have never been happier. I ended up picking up a 2nd pair last week in a different color. They have been hands down amazing.
The best pair of bibs I own. Comfort for hours without feeling bulky. The straps being wide banded soft fabric also helps add to the luxurious experience. Fit wise these are supposed to be on the relaxed side of things. I found them to be slightly short feeling on the upper straps. Other than that they're perfect.
The chamois is separating from the main fabric and the seam is unraveling. This not only makes me worried the bibs are going to fall apart, it also causes chaffing. I've owned these bibs for about 6 weeks. Unfortunately, I contacted Rapha and they refused to replace the bibs. I find this outrageous. When you charge $280 for a pair of bibs, you better stand behind their quality, especially after a handful of weeks. #BadRapha
I previously wore Bontrager Velocis bib shorts for a number of years before they updated their design, which caused me to look into other options. The Rapha Brevet bib was an entirely different level of comfort - it was immediately noticeable and was more comfortable from the start to the finish of a long ride. Now that I've experienced this bib short, I would be hard pressed to wear anything else.
