Raspberry pi once cared for students and people who want to create mini computer. now they only care about lining pockets and making sure the scalpers have the easiest time getting all the products for themselves to sell on amazon for 6x the price. If only they could fined like any other company either they be shut down as they should if they can't handle it or they learn to actually learn simple supply and distribution skill levels of an etsy store owner.

Amazing little Raspberry Pi thingy!Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+ features a quicker 1.4-GHz quad-core processor, faster 802.11ac Wi-Fi and gets a Gigabit Ethernet connection with power over Ethernet capability. Best of all, it also sells for $35 on its own but is easily found as part of kits that include power cables, cases and other add-ons. With a faster processor and better networking than its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 3 is so much more than a $35 computer if you're pretty good and know what it can do.

This little unit is great. It works as expected and there's been no trouble with it. The power supply I had to purchase elsewhere as I couldn't find one on Best Buy's site (??), and I chose to get a 3Amp one rather than the standard 2.5A. It powers a keyboard, mouse and 1Tb external drive just fine on its own, no low power issues. As a bonus, the oem remote to my Samsung tv (also purchased at Best Buy years ago) works with the RPi for navigation! No hoops to jump through, it simply worked.

I got this one to make a retropie setup, but then I started messing with the idea of having all my networks unwanted ads sucked away using pi-hole. This is just the tip of the iceberg. There's so many things you can do with these raspberry pis, it's delightful. And while this isn't the newest one available, it does have a full-size HDMI port so you don't have to worry about adapters to get it up and running.FYI, it does require a separate power adapter for those that don't know. Getting a few cheap heat sinks isn't a bad idea either, as the pi will slow itself down if it gets too hot. Retropie does get it hot, so a tiny fan in a case is a good idea. Pi-hole barely does anything to this, so a fan-less setup works just fine.
Recently started to dabble with Raspberry Pi's, this is my second unit. I bought the Model 3B+ because I want to use this as a portable device and the model 3's use a tad less power than the model 4's. Currently this is hooked up to the Element 14 7" touchscreen, and it works great. I cloned the Micro SD card from my Pi 4 and this 3B+ booted up from it flawlessly. Who can beat a computer for $35!
Picked this up before stock disappeared and prices rose. Using it for a classic game emulation with Emulation Station and various modules like MAME and others. Works with USB input boards and HDMI to DVI cables to old monitors perfectly fine.
The Raspberry Pi is the best project board for experimentation. Want to make a Near IR camera for analyzing plants? Use a Pi.Want to make a production board showing graphs from a AS400 to notify line leads on their production numbers in real time? Use a Pi (we do)They work well in all manner of environments. I currently use them for production numbers in an unairconditioned factory environment. Some places with ovens hit 130*F and these little guys keep on chugging along with no thermal issues or heatsinks. The only limit to what you can do with these things is your imagination. There is a learning curve but with all the documentation and projects on the internet it is not that difficult.
I purchased this with a discount coupon from Best Buy, so it was a really good deal. Since the purchase, it has been configured as an Apple Airprint server for my home non-Apple network. It works reliably to print wirelessly from iPads and iPhones via a wi-fi router gateway to an older networked Brother laser printer (without internal Airprint). I'm looking to get another Pi (once prices come back down).
Easy to set up, even in 'headless' mode without a monitor, keyboard, or mouse (using SSH and VNC from a Mac or Linux machine over a wifi network). To get you started a lot of useful information is available at the official Raspberry Pi website and elsewhere on the internet. I didn't need the desktop-level processing power of the Pi 4, but I found that this Pi 3 B+ actually can be used for light web browsing and for some Python software development. I am getting by with an iPad power block and a micro-USB cable, but the Pi complains about low voltage (though it seems to run fine). I will probably buy an official power supply eventually.
sbc are limited and for what you pay its not too bad considering size but you can get a much more powerful used desktop for a bit more. all that said it's compact and easy to use so that's the trade off. I used the Batocera gaming OS and was underwhelmed with the performance. not for everyone but if you're wanting to play some retro games before the PlayStation/N64 era you're covered. kinda slow especially when you're adding games to it. I recommend spending more and getting a Pi 4
