Makes the job safe, clean and humane. After finding the contents of my spare room destroyed from a mouse infestation I was gutted at the thought of using bait or spring traps (or the cost of Pest Control Technicians).Following the instructions provided, I've cleared out eight mice in five days. Every one with no visible wound or odor.I simply dispose of the mouse, wipe down the unit and inside with a disinfectant wipe, fill the bait cup with a bit of peanut butter, close the lid and reset the trap. The one thing to be cautious of is using cheap batteries, always listen and watch when you switch it on for the capacitor to charge and blinking light.Hopefully Bunnings will also stock the wifi version soon.

It was the cat that had caught the mouse and brought it into the house and let it go... Using gloves and following the easy to use instructions with peanut butter as the bait, we set the trap up yesterday and already this morning it was flashing green (it flashes about once every 30sec to a min). We didn't believe it would work that fast but sure enough, there was a tail poking out. The mouse looked very peaceful and the unit was nice and easy for my squeamish tummy to empty. While the trap still looked completely clean, I washed as per the instructions and will set it up again when it's dry, who knows if there is another mouse that we don't know about.

Read both good and bad reviews for this product, but decided to give it a try, as it seemed to be the most humane way to quickly kill mice out of the limited available options.Baited with natural peanut butter using a toothpick as per instructions, and set up the trap in the pantry, where mouse activity seemed most prevalent. In the last 40 hours the trap has caught 3 mice, which is better than I could have expected. My only slight gripe is that the green flashing light to indicate a caught/killed mouse only flashes once every 15 or so seconds, so if you're just quickly checking the trap you may not realise that a mouse has already been caught. I'd recommend physically checking the trap once in a while to ensure you are cleaning out regularly and the trap remains ... MoreRead both good and bad reviews for this product, but decided to give it a try, as it seemed to be the most humane way to quickly kill mice out of the limited available options.Baited with natural peanut butter using a toothpick as per instructions, and set up the trap in the pantry, where mouse activity seemed most prevalent. It works IF YOU FOLLOW the instuctions.

Use gloves at all times when handling the trap so the mice can not smell you on the device. Use a tiny bit of peanut butter. Clean it after you have caught a mouse carefully. I use earbus dipped in warm soapy water. Use good batteries, not cheap ones, so the power is strong. You will hear the beep if a mouse gets zapped, and the light will flash red. We have used this several times now and it has always done the job quickly. In fact we have just bought a second one.

So happy with this mouse trap. Very easy to set up and use. Had heard and seen mouse around 3 am every morning for past few days…bought and set up trap yesterday and caught the little bugger at 2:50 am…heard the mouse get shocked…hopefully it was the only mouse…bought 2 traps and only caught 1 mouse and I’m pretty sure there was only mouse in the house…have reset the trap so I guess I’ll find out soon enough. Told daughter about catching mouse and she said she would definitely purchase when she can afford it….I’ve just bought 2 for her so she can get rid of her mice…she has been using pellets to get rid of mice but worries that her small pets may get to them….now she won’t need to worry…a small dob of peanut butter and ‘hey presto’ safe quick kill.Green light ... MoreSo happy with this mouse trap. Works well, though it can be hard to see the light flashing when it is full. Highly suggest not touching the item with bare hands. Followed others directions to use gloves and worked a treat. Very quiet, and my dogs leave it alone. Started with one and ended up buying 2 more to have in other rooms as we have had a huge mouse problem recently due to construction next door.Recommend over other traps as the mouse does not suffer, they die instantly compared to mouse traps that take time for them to die when they are caught.

It's going to be winter in a week & from what I've been hearing, there are plenty of mice on the Mornington Peninsula atm...we first saw a mouse (twice, in the lounge room) more than a week ago & we initially tried 3 conventional 'snap' traps but they somehow managed to eat the bait without getting caught (twice they had snapped but not caught them & twice they took the bait without setting it off) & then we tried 2 other types (Ratsak 'Clean Kill' that's like a small tunnel with a guillotine inside it) that a friend had highly recommended to us but again, nothing. So we bought this electronic trap 2 nights ago & although we caught nothing the first 2 nights (mind you, the mice were probably still VERY well satiated after their previous few feeds at our expense!), ... MoreIt's going to be winter in a week & from what I've been hearing, there are plenty of mice on the Mornington Peninsula atm...we first saw a mouse (twice, in the lounge room) more than a week ago & we initially tried 3 conventional 'snap' traps but they somehow managed to eat the bait without getting caught (twice they had snapped but not caught them & twice they took the bait without setting it off) & then we tried 2 other types (Ratsak 'Clean Kill' that's like a small tunnel with a guillotine inside it) that a friend had highly recommended to us but again, nothing. So we bought this electronic trap 2 nights ago & although we caught nothing the first 2 nights (mind you, the mice were probably still VERY well satiated after their previous few feeds at our expense!), tonight we have already caught TWO small mice & it's still only 12:37am, so who knows what's yet to come tonight?!OK, so the best advice that I can provide that's worked for us thus far is that I have ALWAYS worn disposable rubber gloves whenever I've handled the trap since first removing it from the box (to conceal my 'human odour'), a very small, pea-sized amount of peanut butter is all that's been required & I've simply wiped any 'mouse residue' from the metal plates inside the trap when emptying the dead mice from it, rather than any excessive washing of it. Mind you, the first mouse somewhat exploded, while the 2nd one simply looked as though it was asleep - so the task of emptying &/or cleaning of the inside the trap after kills isn't really for the faint of heart at times!PS. And we also left 2 Ratsak 'Fast Action Wax Blocks' outside for the first time only last night & BOTH of them have already been consumed on the first night! So we replaced those 2 wax blocks with 2 more earlier today & now we're hoping like mad that they were eaten by at least 2 mice (actually, we're not sure about how to feel on this front - it's obviously better if we presently have less mice around our house but if there are more than one outside the house - which I'm now sure that there are - then we simply wish to 'spread the love' amongst a number of them, albeit with each of them getting a deadly dose of the stuff!!

We have been fighting the mouse plague for some months now: they have managed to get into our roof, our garage, the workshop, the greenhouse and the shed. Baiting has had some effect (can't use the warfarin products - we value our raptors), and the use of a motion-activated trail camera has enabled us to locate and block several access points. That left the entrenched mouse population in the garage and sheds, with piles of mouse poo everywhere and a truly horrendous stench. I bought two of these traps and set them up as instructed. I checked them every hour or so and killed 12 mice in the first 24 hours. The traps are easy to use (do wear gloves, and a face mask is a good idea as well) and simple to empty. Bought after rodents were around but not taking the bait. For approx 6 months, have this and other traps / baits in the same area and the totals are Electronic mouse trap - 20 mice, nooski trap - 2 mice, A24 rat trap - 6 mice, bait - 2 mice. Quick and clean although have to check the trap regularly to keep the clean part true.Areas for improvement are the lid of the kill chamber comes off the hinges pretty easily but is not difficult to put back on. The plastic knobs it fits on do appear easy to break but the lid would probably still fit in place if they did. Would be great if they made a version more resistant to water so they could be used outside more easily. The place for the bait is very small and seemed to attract less if I only put a little in there. If peanut butter doesn’t work, try other foods and change the bait regularly. I was using a couple of pieces of corn at one point as that was working for that particular group. If you find a food the rodents like, the trap will work.
