Ray-Ban RX7066 5577

I expected a better quality frame from rayBan... the hinges are not sprung and the arms fell flimsy. Moreover, I suspect the measurements on the Glasses Direct website are incorrect... The fram width is supposed to be 145mm, I can't measuree more than 140mm at any point for the frames, and they are smaller than my Ted Baker 'Berg', that are apparently 135mm.Overall, I', a little disappointed in this 'Premium' brand.

I chose this style and size of RayBan glasses because RayBan are a reputable company and I wear RB Wayfarer sunglasses. I received this frame fitted with prescription driving lenses in about a week. I am content with the price - £135 - and I compared the lenses against another pair of spectacles from a different supplier and found them to be identical. I recommend Glasses Direct and I would use them again without a second thought.

Great glasses and good lenses. Fit is a bit tricky having bought online. They keep slipping down my nose. If I had purchased from a physical shop they would have adjusted the arms to fit for me. With lockdown I can’t get that done in my local opticians. I bought computer glasses. It has taken a bit of getting used to the high levels of distortion in peripheral vision. I have to take them off before walking around. I’ve never had lenses with such distortion before but equally never bought computer lenses so don’t know whether that’s normal/to be expected. FAQs didn’t have any detail on what to expect re field of vision. I did check as soon as I got them. It would be helpful information to know before purchasing. FAKE RAY-BANS

Do not purchase!!! These, and most likely all the others on Macy’s website, are fake. RayBans are made in Italy, not CHINA!!!! Spent over $500 on 3 pairs of RayBans that all feel like the 3D glasses you receive at the movie theater. These, and the others described as “Wayfarers” on my receipt, will be returned ASAP!!!

I love these!

I just received my new glasses today. They took less than a week to get them from Vancouver to Ontario. My first impression is that the frames are very light. Probably the lightest pair of glasses I've ever worn. With that being said, they fit so nice and snug on my face. No adjustments needed!! I think they are very flattering and I really like the transparent front and black sides.I would definitely recommend. This is the second pair of glasses I've gotten from Clearly since the pandemic began and they are just a wonderful company that I will continue to support.

I would buy this product again because they're fantastic

I use my glasses everyday because they're progressives. They're light, very clear and well designed. During a recent book club meeting everyone tried them on and they suited each and every person. They're versatile and stylish and well designed. When I'm reading I don't have to move my head. They are a special buy for me and I really like them. They fit well and are super comfortable. I'm thinking of buying a pair of sunglasses with the same frames.

I wouldnèt recommend these frames

I have been a client of Clearly for over 10 years and purchased all my glasses through them which lasted for their lifetime until I needed a new prescription.This is my second pair. 1st pair broke by accident. I got another pair and since they were loose, I took them in to be adjusted at the clearly store last Monday. The fit seems fine until I came home and noticed one of the arm was so tight that I could barely closed the glasses. Over the week I then noticed the right arm was kind of loose and the metal piece that the arm is screwed onto is moving at the frame.I already spend over $500 on these glasses and do not intend to buy another Ray Ban. They are cheaply made and don't stand behind their name brand.

My Experience

The frames are lightweight and I do like the tortoise look and fit was perfect . My problem was with the tint. Since I wanted them primarily as sunglasses I was disappointed 3 times with how bright everything was when I was outdoors. Customer service was very accommodating but with each return (which took awhile) the color was not right. After the last return in which I ordered and paid extra for 85% they are still not dark enough. They are fine when the day is slightly hazy but as soon as the sun is out it is not comfortable to wear as sunglasses. Very disappointing especially paying extra for more protection and being told by agent that my choice of last tint would be tooo dark.

Questionable quality, undeniable style.

I'll start off by saying - these glasses look awesome. They fit true-to-measurement, and the clear/black frames really stand out.The biggest caveat is quality. I own 7 other pairs of Ray-Bans, but none of them are as low quality as this model. I have no doubt that these are authentic, but they are truly the lowest quality pair of frames I own. I would compare them to the disposable plastic 3D glasses you get at the movie theatre.I have a difficult time recommending these at their full price point, and I question the longevity of these frames based on their poor construction. That said - if these frames were to go on sale or clearance at half price, and you were someone really sold on the Ray-Ban brand, these would be a good pick up.

You pay for the brand

The material and parts are so cheap. It doesn't feel like quality frames. They're too light, feels like you could break them if you accidentally applied too much force folding the arms. I didn't realize I bought this exact style in black a few years ago and they were my only pair which cracked at the bottom. I don't toss my glasses around either and I've bought many pairs over the years. This time I got the clear frames and they get dirty so quickly. Dirt gets trapped and is noticeable in the crooks of the frames. Save your money and don't buy these.
