After using the Razer - BlackShark V2 Se for awhile my kids have come quite accustom to this headset.. Pros: -Love the color of the headset, the black pairs quite well with the green, the sound (both playback and record [headset and mic]) are quite good. - THX Spatial Audio also works quite well once you can seem to get it working with the headset. It has better Discord compatibility than with any other HyperX headset. I love that it is quite light feeling when it is sitting on your head and is actually very comfortable. The headset is also fairly affordable and well worth it, as it is quite the bang for the buck. As for the Cons: - Synapse software doesn't seem to be the greatest and could use quite a few improvements with headsets. Synapse makes getting the headset working, if at all at moments very very finicky. Sometimes the headset when plugged in seems to work off of the Razer Sound Card audio source in Windows. Other times the headset will work off of the THX Spatial Audio audio source. Due to the Synapse, you never know which one it is going to be until you plug it in. Another problem I noticed is the Microphone doesn't always seem to work when you are speaking into it, especially if you have it plugged into a gaming source such as a Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Ps4, etc. My Final thoughts on this headset are as follow: Those that are quite tech savvy should be find since they should be able to get Razer's Synapse's to play nicely with them long enough to keep this headset working consistently. Therefore, those who work quite well with tech this most definitely would be an amazing buy. As for anyone who is not technologically inclined or at least educated in tech I would not recommend this headset,, as the Synapse could quite possibly give you a major headache as well as a lot of uneccesary frustration.

Great, seamless pair of gaming headphones; easy packaging and cool stickers, too 🎧😎

I am really digging these headphones so far!! First, let's start with packaging-- good looking box, packaged well, and easy to open and get to the headphones. I know it's silly but I like a product that begins with a good packaging experience. OK, onto the headphones: super straight forward. Plug them in, adjust the mic, and start listening and talking. No charging, no complications, no additional software -- literally plug and play, exactly what I look for. The sound quality -- both in and out -- are great, no complaints from my friends while gaming. The box also comes with some cool Razer stickers, a nice little touch in a world where every company is just trying to cut costs in any way they can. Kudos to Razer for keeping the marketing stickers. :)

[Rewarded Review] A lightweight headset that won't break the bank
29 September 2023

You know how you don't realize that your previous headset was heavy until you buy a new one that isn't? Yeah, that happened. This particular set is feather-light yet feels well-made, and the sound is decent for the price range. Not only do I use them for long gaming sessions, but also for casually listening to music, so they get a LOT of daily use and are probably the most comfortable I've owned, sans one detail described below. On the opposite side of the coin, I had to replace the ear pads within the first week, as the originals had seams just inside the cups that were frequently digging into my ears. If you're sensitive to things like that, pay a little extra and go up to the next higher model (they were on display in my local store and the pads did not have ... MoreYou know how you don't realize that your previous headset was heavy until you buy a new one that isn't? If you're sensitive to things like that, pay a little extra and go up to the next higher model (they were on display in my local store and the pads did not have that annoying seam, they are however a bit of a price jump) or plan on finding replacements. Additionally, the 7.1 surround sound (comes as a download link in email after registration, NOT included in the box) also leaves something to be desired. While it might be fine if you mainly play FPS games, for me personally as a non FPS player, it just muddied everything else, so I uninstalled.Overall however, I am extremely happy with this purchase, as comfort with long wear and affordability were the two top things I was looking for.

[Rewarded Review] Amazing Noise Cancellation
10 January 2024

I did a ton of research to find a passive noise cancellation headset, and this is the best thing I could find. I was desperate for a new headset as I live in a noisy and distracting environment, and my old headset was falling apart. I tried an active noise cancellation headset for ~250 dollars and I couldn't stand the pressure, it just felt off.For comfort I barely notice I'm wearing them, although the adjustable bars are a bit troll on the design, its still comfortable. Fits good for slightly bigger heads. The passive noise cancellation is S tier! They were right to advertise it as such. I sit 1 foot away from a screaming shower and I barely hear it with no sound playing. With sound? Yeah, I can't hear anything around me, I prefer peace and quiet and this headset is a life saver. For the volume control, I was a bit cautious due to some video reviews, but really its not too bad. I can't stand headsets without a physical volume controller, and this one has one! There is a physical indicator for when you are 50% volume which is cool.Sound quality: Maybe I have hearing issues or am bricked in the head IRL, but I dislike surround sound and prefer stereo. The headset has a detachable USB adapter to fit my preferences. Otherwise for this price range every headset will sound identical.Microphone: I haven't heard any complaints from other people. The fact its detachable is great! If you wish to use the mic you have to use the USB adapter, which is a bit of a hassle, but I play single player games mostly anyways.I bought it for 60 dollars, and it looks like its out of stock with the newer version only being sold here. Truly a 5-Star headset for its price range.

got these for working remotely, the goal was to give myself a more portable option that an XLR condenser mic with a separate USB audio interface and a scissor arm. Something I could tote around with a laptop. The Razer Blackshark V2 delivers. The audio quality on the mic is acceptable with the caveat that I spent hours in the Razer Synapse program tweaking the settings and trying to find some combination of options that I could live with. Now, I think I still sound VERY tinny compared to my more professional dekstop audio setup, but for the price, mobility, and comfort I have found these are capable of producing acceptable microphone audio quality. Now, I think I still sound VERY tinny compared to my more professional dekstop audio setup, but for the price, mobility, and comfort I have found these are capable of producing acceptable microphone audio quality. The biggest problem I ran into is that the mic on the Blackshark V2 doesn't pick up lower tones as clearly as higher ones, and apparently my voice is on the low side.At least I had the option to tweak the settings because before getting the Blackshark V2 I had tried the Razer Kraken V3, and there is no fixing the audio that headset produces. Those were my second Razer product ever and my first Razer headset, I was shocked they put their name on something that shoddy. If Razer hadn't been having a sale that made their products an attractive price at the time I'd never have given their headsets the time of day ever again. The comfort on these is fairly good, nothing extraordinary to me but I usually take meetings and listen to music through audiophile quality headphones and I often put custom earpads on them, so my standards are very high. These certainly exceed what I would normally expect from comfort in a set of headphones at this pricepoint, but I find them to be less comfortable than your average Sennheiser headphones. The cups are a bit more shallow with the default cups and rest closer to my ear than I would like. Replacement pads are at the top of my shopping list for these, though I do like the breathable jersey material on the outside of them.

[Rewarded Review] Warranty time bomb
5 August 2024

Two years in and it hardware malfunctioned on me... just a few days short of the limited warranty deadline.Customer service said effectively you're SOL.As far as the two years of what I'll consider "rental" of these pair of headphones, they were good about sound and the EQ options to optimize for gaming, movies, music, etc are useful for the audiophiles out there. THX spatial sound worked well enough.Comfort: long hours wearing this will become stiff feeling in the ears and head due to the heavier weight. Next pair of headphones I'll get will be open-back.Conclusion, none of this matters if what you have is a $100+ plastic souvenir. The left ear lost audio (crackled at first then gone completely). I troubleshootes to no end.
