It is made with a soft, durable fabric with a non-slip rubber underside. Easy to set up (plug and play) and accompanying software was also easy to navigate. I liked that it immediately uses existing setting when plugged in if you have existing devices already in use. The strong LED source with no dim spots along the full border of the mouse pad was aesthetically pleasing.My only concerns are the stitching around the edge of mousepad while visually appealing, the thin plastic threadings durability is questionable with regular use, but only time will tell. Also, it has a smaller width than most full size mousepads on the market, which could benefit others with smaller desk space.

Good large format mousepad with RGB. Lighting seems to be diffused in such a way where some of it does not seem to fully have the lighting affect.That being said the RGB is solid and a nice touch. Could be better with a USB port or two on the connector to the pad.I would probably replace it with a non RGB variant in the future as the RGB is not a necessity and it takes a USB port.

It is a bit abrasive and i expect it to stain quickly.- out of the box, the pad can be rolled out flat. I am very happy with my Razer Goliathus Extended Chroma gaming mousepad.Installation was simple, essentially you just plug it in and go from there.Very easy instructions.I love that you can set the colors for different game types, be it first person or with others.It's super big so you have plenty of room to do your gaming and lots of extra space for the mouse.The packaging was great, they did a good job with using less packaging material but still ensuring your Razer is snug and secure.Would definitely recommend to those gamers who love the lighting ambiance.

I have all the chroma mats/pads, and it seems the strider has hardware compatibility issues with multiple other components, but I like the "hybrid" surface. Goliathus soft surface (any of the three sizes) are suboptimal for mouse performance but usually sufficient, just get dusty/dirty VERY easily/frequently. Even if fully functional, $60 seems unreasonably high to me for a MOUSEPAD (though strider was a ridiculous $140).. but then not even being fully functional.. well, again, check alternatives first. It depends on your intentions, priorities and budget, but in general, I'd give it overall more of a NO than a YES for recommending. Also, a common complaint of this soft surface is that the whole pad doesn't stay flat, just fyi. FireFly1 had pealing issues, FireFly2 (hard) is great until the common complaint that the center wears down till the mouse can't recognize traction. The non-chroma mats perform better for a mouse, but are not "as fun" (individual discretion). Razer has yet to offer a high-performance pad WITH chroma, and without a common flaw; hopefully they'll get one right eventually. Hope this helps!
