I have not been disappointed. They have punchy bass and great mids too. Lostening to Phil Collins live with 7.1 surround was incredible. If you are thinking about buying this headset... get it you will be more than satisfied.

I use this for both gaming and casual music listening. They sound muddier than my Logitech that was half the price. The sort of games that I play, (ex. Let me explain why these got 4 instead of 5 stars.First: I bought these for my Xbox Series S because I needed a jacked headset. The cord is pretty long so I just made sure to keep the rubber thing it comes packed with to keep the cord shorter because I sit at a desk right by my console. I personally really like the sound. My husband has Astros and while he feels like there is a difference I really have never felt like I'm missing out on anything. When I got my PS5 I could hear things my team couldn't.Comfort: They are very comfortable. I wear them for HOURS...and I wear glasses!!! Very important for glasses wearers to find over the ear, comfortable headsets. Hearing myself on mic; I sound fine. Very important for glasses wearers to find over the ear, comfortable headsets. Hearing myself on mic; I sound fine. I don't feel *as* clear as my teammates but they are also just louder people. So if anything the mic is my only complaint and it's not even bad. I got attachable kitty ears in the same color as the headset to make them cute. Now on to the loss of 1 star: the mic just doesn't work well with my PS5. They immediately said my voice was different, almost like I was far away or in a tin can. Listening to team playback I was really bothered at how well my teammates sounded, and I didn't. Again, soundwise I felt like they were great but I just couldn't get past my voice in the playback clips. GRANTED...it took 3 other headsets to find one that didn't sound horrible. Some others were crackling, echoing, all that. These didn't do that at all, it just wasn't as clear as my teammates. So I ended up getting SteelSeries and they ended up sounding "the best I've ever sounded" according to my team. If you don't feel like you need to sound perfectly crystal clear then these wouldn't be a problem, it just bothers me personally.I take care of my stuff and keep these hung up on my wall. They are easy to move around and adjust, so they aren't a firm shape when I hang them up but I also don't feel like they are so loose and dangly that they're going to be trashed. I've had them for idk like 8ish months and they're still in great shape.I also love that the volume AND mute are in the same spot; on the cord!! I hate when headsets have all the buttons near the ears (downside of the SteelSeries). I can grab my cord real quick for volume and mute; easy-peasy.Overall: If you're looking for a pink headset, with good sound, a decent mic if you're on Xbox, comfortable (especially with glasses), and won't break the bank...get these!!! I'm actually bummed I have to use a different (more expensive) headset with the PS5 because I really do love these.

As a frequent gamer, I know the importance of a good gaming headset. I was excited to try the Razer Kraken Wired Gaming Headset, but unfortunately, it fell short of my expectations. Here's my experience:- Sound Quality: The audio quality for in-game sounds and music is generally fine, but the reverb issue with the microphone is frustrating.- Microphone Reverb: This is where the headset truly fails. The reverb on the mic is noticeable and distracting. I've tested other mics, and this seems to be a unique problem with this headset, leading me to believe it's a design flaw.- Comfort: The headset fits well, and the cushions are comfortable for extended gaming sessions.- Build Quality: It appears well-made and sturdy, but the underlying issue with the mic is ... MoreAs a frequent gamer, I know the importance of a good gaming headset. But the microphone issue diminishes its value across these platforms.Final Thoughts: The Razer Kraken Wired Gaming Headset has potential but is overshadowed by the reverb problem with the mic. While other aspects of the headset are satisfactory, the microphone's performance is essential for gaming, and this flaw makes it hard to recommend. Other headsets in the same price range don't seem to have this problem, so I'd advise considering alternatives.
My first year with these was decent, sound is great when you don't enable 7.1. I like that it has the analog audio connector, with splitter for for mic. They are heavy and I can't comfortably wear them more than a couple hours. The mic can rotate and aim away from your mouth, which greatly affects how you sound to others from one call to the next. I do not recommend this product for WFH, and believe there are better options for gaming as well, even at this price point. The volume control on the cord wore out on mine within the first year, despite never really changing it - it now randomly cuts one ear out, or crackles. I've not been convinced its worth sending in for replacement/repair despite being within warranty.
I went for these since they were on sale for the same price as the wired Blackshark set (80+tax).Initially they were absolutely perfect for sound quality and comfort - they weren't overly heavy, the cooling foam was so nice & they didn't get warm until ~4 hours into a gaming session, & the sound was fantastic. They're a little bulky, but overall were brilliant. Then, about a month into owning them, I noticed the sound went extremely quiet to where I could barely hear anything, despite the volume being around the 40-50% mark. Not long after, it died completely, no matter how high the volume was. I unplugged them and plugged them back in, thinking maybe it was my controller - still got no sound. Tried a brand new controller, still got nothing. Tried my phone, and what do you know - nothing. Keep in mind the mic worked perfectly fine still.I didn't abuse the headset at all during use, and I returned them to the stand Razer sells every time I was done with them; the cord was allowed to hang down completely as well, and they weren't in an area where they'd accidentally be caught by me or anyone else in the house.Couldn't return them to BB as the return period had passed, and I didn't buy an extended warranty, so I went to Razer themselves to see if their 1 year warranty would cover it. A year later, I'm still waiting for a response back from them, despite sending about 1-2 emails about it per month.Overall, just don't waste your money despite the hype that these headsets have from so many gamers/streamers out there. Save the money for a set that's actually worth the cost.
I got this hoping it would perform better than the headphones I already had. I was having issues on Discord with the one I was trying to replace and these did the same. I would have the button on mute, but it seemed to effect other people's audio on discord. My icon on discord would sometimes flicker on, as if I was speaking and I had it on mute. These might do better on a console, but not on a computer.Sound seems fine as far as I'm concerned. I'm no audiofile, I don't know how to put things through their paces and it wasn't my focus. The mic isn't very good. Picks up all the background noises.Seems built pretty decent in my opinion. I like the use of metal in it, it makes the product feel like it will last.
I bought this headset thinking that it would be a decent headset after reading the reveiws. I was great dissatisfied with the audio. It sounds super muffled and is not very high quality. I mean I didn’t expect much but man it was disappointing. The mic is not bad. It works perfectly fine for everyday use. Now i wouldn’t consider it a fantastic mic but it will do the job. Also the long cable is really nice too. At the end of the day i still think there are better options than this headset tho for people needing good audio.
I've had this product for about a year and a half, while yes it is a good product the durability of it isn't great. The wire keeps on disconnecting each time I move, makes a static noise then connects again but the most annoying part is when it happens while I'm in a game then it freezes my game each time it does. Sometimes I get lucky and it doesn't fully freeze and it unfreezes but usually I have to restart my entire game again. Also, each time it disconnects and connects again while I'm in a call with friends, it doesn't register your voice and in turn you need to unplug then plug the headset again. No. That is not the case. After I am done using my pc I hang my headset on my headset stand and make sure the wire isn't twisting or curling. The foam leather parts of my headset are also so damaged and worn down after a year. Each time I take it off, flakes of leather also fall out and the ear cushions rip easily. It's a good headset but the disconnecting and having to constantly replug it each time it happens is just not worth it.
I had the older version of the Kraken that had analog and a (i dont remember the names sorry) a volume control tool on the wire that ended up being how i lost it. I swore off analog headsets because they seemed to be too easy to end up broken or partially broken and screeching in your ear occasionally.I ended up replacing it with another but regardless of friends saying that my new headset had better sound quality than the tournament edition razer kraken, it really didn't. It had very high quality sound for immersive gaming such as MMORPG players and even watching movies. So fast forward i have no headset really and my mom tried to make my life a bit brighter and told me anything online i wanted that wasn't too expensive i could have. There wasn't much i could think of. I remembered how i had no real headset at the moment and i did want to indulge in a girly pink headset which i have never had in gaming equipment. I remembered hearing how the mic was clear and the sound quality didn't pay for that quality on it. I decided it was a good temporary headset and i bought it.The sound was great and mic quality was amazing, for once people could hear me clearly through bad internet. It had analog which honestly only caused any problems when it got yanked out as i moved with a laptop. I ended up getting my headset meant to not be the temporary one and it was a 200 something dollar LED wireless headset that very soon gave me charging issues.I ended up neglecting the charge on that one and i misplaced the USB end so I just went back to my under 100$ pink Razer kraken headset and even now almost two years later i am using this headset over others that may be better overall but not to the extent i feel like putting up with more issues. So, maybe that can help sum up the kind of headset this is, its not expensive its not ugly its very comfortable and it does what i need a headset to do, As a person who pays attention to detail and the small things can throw me off of how i view things, This is definitely satisfactory for an actual good headset that can be on par with the ones built more extensively. It's rare i come across good quality, durable, hassle free, tech related products. It may just overall depend on preference, but if you are considering a more high end headset when you can settle for something basically identical thats cheaper and less likely to break down, id go for this one.
