Received this headset as a Christmas present after my old headset broke. After switching to Razer with this headset I was thoroughly impressed with the sound quality and overall comfort and lightweight of the entire headset. The mic quality is great, and especially when gaming, the surround sound is great.

I initially bought these as an interim until getting a premium gaming headset for the PS4 but have been impressed with the comfort and build quality. I have found lightweight 40mm headsets to be most desirable with easy volume and mic mute functions which this headset has. The 7.1 surround sound is great on the laptop too. Could be more comfortable if the ear cups had some lateral movement but happy to compromise for the price and robust construction. Look cool too.

Pros: Great design, comfy af, mic is great too, sound dampening is a bonusCons: Sound dampening is a bit too heavy, but still great. Mic is also sensitive

They sit well on my head. The cushion around my ears make the headset easy to wear. Output and input audio is great. Microphone works well. Just wish they could turn wireless
I've had this headset for over 4 months now and it's been working great! I got this headset to replace a Bluetooth headphone that I had been using to call with my friends whilst gaming because the previous headphone had a very poor mic quality; and although it was much more freeing to use Bluetooth headphones, the mic quality on the Razer Kraken X was absolutely life-changing. My friends can hear me crystal-clear now and I don't have to worry about repeating myself anymore. The microphone is also very easy to adjust as you can simply push it lightly away from your face to eat and push it back to get back to communicating. Accessibility on this headset is another amazing thing I have to mention with sound control as easy as a slide across a wheel and the mute button ... Accessibility on this headset is another amazing thing I have to mention with sound control as easy as a slide across a wheel and the mute button as easy as a push behind the headset on the left. This was my first time getting a headset with over-ear pads and let me say, it was an awesome first impression. The pads lay comfortably around my ears and don't feel forced on me at all, yet still clings to my head with no impression that it'll fall off. Audio quality is great, not the best compared to higher-end brands like Beats by Dre, but still a blast to listen to with the Razer's surround sound application that gives you a higher quality of audio. I recommend this to any gamer who's looking for a cheaper headset compared to others and doesn't mind a wire hanging off their headset, because it'll definitely make your gaming experience better for your team, your friends and yourself.
These were good for its price. They're lightweight, attractive and flexible with its splitter adapter, which is especially good for older PCs. The downside is its quality, specifically its headphone bands.I've had these for 27 days as of writing - not even a full month, and they're already broken. I've only used them to watch videos or light gaming and I never slammed them even remotely hard onto anything nor stretched it unreasonably wide to put them on, yet it already had a crack which made so that when you wear it, it lifts up from your ears like a Ferrari's door. They may be cheap but they're not from an obscure overseas brand. The fact that in less than a month they've already started cracking is absurd, especially for an renowned brand like Razer. With that ... MoreThese were good for its price. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt and buy another and use it with caution, but if that breaks within an unacceptable time frame and/or reason then I'll be sure to give an update. Bottom line: it's a good product but you're probably going to have to treat it like glass or a newborn baby if you want to use it long term.
I got this headset a few weeks ago and I have really mixed feelings about it. I got it to replace an older headset that had become uncomfortable and was beginning to have issues with the microphone. The lightweight design caught my attention because that is one of my main issues with headsets, wearing them for long gaming sessions, they tend to cause discomfort. This headset is definitely comfortable, so 10/10 for that. The smallest size fits my head perfectly without putting too much tension on my head or ears. One issue I often encounter with over-ear headsets is that the cushions will irritate my ear piercings and this has not been the case at all. The memory foam ear cushions are really pleasant to wear, I can even wear my glasses without discomfort! The ... MoreI got this headset a few weeks ago and I have really mixed feelings about it. One issue I often encounter with over-ear headsets is that the cushions will irritate my ear piercings and this has not been the case at all. The memory foam ear cushions are really pleasant to wear, I can even wear my glasses without discomfort! The sound quality is also perfectly good, virtual 7.1 surround sound is clear, dimensional, everything you would expect from the brand and the price point, again 10/10.On to the negatives; set up. It was an absolute pain. I've never had so much drama, or had to spend so much time configuring a headset. You would expect plug and play. Nope. There are two ways to plug in this headset, with or without the extension splitter cable that comes included. I tried both. I tried everything. I could get the sound and the mic to work one day, but then have one or both magically not work, across both Discord and Zoom, the next. I had to get my tech guy to help, which is ridiculous for a headset setup. The Microphone. The secondary reason I decided to purchase a new headset was for a better working mic for the purpose of both voice chat while gaming, and more importantly, during Zoom meetings. After FINALLY getting the mic to work reliably, I discovered that it is insanely quiet. You have a very short mic wand that must be positioned DIRECTLY in front of your mouth for anyone to be able to hear you. Adjusting settings caused the background noise to pick up and cause an unpleasant hiss, so listeners have to manually turn me up. I'm disappointed in the surprising drop in quality from the headset itself being really comfortable with great sound, to having a really poor microphone and set up experience. If you want a comfortable headset at an affordable price point and only really intend to use it for listening to music/gaming. I recommend this product. (Though the mic wand is not retractable, it is flexible and can be positioned out of the way.)If you need the functionality of the microphone to be at an equal performance level to the sound quality, I absolutely do NOT recommend this product. As a long time fan of the RAZER brand, I am surprised and disappointed by the mic and mic set up. I am, however, pleased with the extremely lightweight and comfortable headset itself.Mixed feelings, indeed.
Comfortable, great sound and the microphone looks professional. I work remotely consulting for corporates all around Australia. I have gone through a number of headsets looking for the right combination. These are the ones !! Look no further.
Sound quality is pretty good considering the price. Apart from Skype meetings, I also use this headset to listen to music. The microphone is good too; voice is clear and doesn't pick-up breathing noises. Quite comfortable.
i love them! i was a little sceptical at first, but the sound quality is amazing for both listening to music and enjoying your fave video game. and the mic works wonderfully for calls! i love that there is a mute and volume slider on the headset, those have been pretty handy for voice calls or listening to music, etc. [also the headset came with stickers, i love them] thank you <3
