This keypad has a great black finish, keys look clear and provide decent enough feedback when clicked. The non slip backing of this keypad is all along the bottom to prevent any sliding when you click down on the keypad. I do not know why it is required being that Loupdeck software also installs, since it runs off Loupdeck. No one likes installing unnecessary software unless you are invested in other Razer products. When Loupdeck finishes installing, it helps you navigate the program in order to customize your device to your liking.It is nice to have some prebuilt functionality within the keypad. The ability to know what program you are in and that it adjusts to those macros makes this a very neat device. I'm a photographer who edits withing Lightroom and Photoshop often. It's awesome to have a quick button for a menu option that may take me otherwise a few clicks. I repeat a lot of these simple tasks but having that one button is great. Even with the ability to go into submenus pretty quickly is worth it for me. Out of the box, some of the Lightroom macros did not function, I did run it off LR Classic as was mentioned in some research that I looked into but still could not get them to run.It's a great device, looks awesome,15 buttons is plenty to customize based off your use. I love the way it sits very aesthetically pleasing on my desk with the rest of my peripherals and your eye glances that way with the colorful icons that are present in great detail.

There is a preconfigured "streaming" profile allowing for basic streaming and gaming application controls as well as the option to completely customize your own commands. My only disappointment was it's integration with Adobe's suite. At time of writing it is a bit clunky, likely due to the profile being deigned for different hardware, but I feel this could be improved with software updates as hardware adoption becomes more wide-spread.If you're willing to put in the effort this keypad is an incredibly powerful tool. I have personally set mine up for use with productivity applications. Being able to execute complex actions or run macros and scripts with a single button press, is truly a time saver.I'm not sure this keypad is for everyone, but if you are willing to learn how to use and customize it, the Stream Controller X is extremely useful.
