As an avid FPS gamer (Rainbow 6 Siege, CS:GO and Valorant) this mouse was a perfect candidate on paper. After using it for 4 months, I can easily say this is one of the best mice I've ever used. It weighs in at only 58g (holistically speaking, the lighter the mouse the better, in terms of aiming; less fatigue) and is stripped down to the core buttons that you ACTUALLY need - no unnecessary side buttons, just the classic 4 button setup (LMB, RMB, 2 side buttons) + scroll wheel - which is perfect for FPS.Although some people aren't a big fan of the textured plastic material that the mouse is entirely made of, I personally think it makes the mouse easier to grip and less likely to slip in your hand. The mouse also includes very useful features such as a 4000Hz polling rate (although you do require the Hyperpolling dongle which is sold separately), MotionSync technology (it genuinely makes the mouse movements in-game feel noticeably more precise and smoother) and also Virgin Grade PTFE skates by default. The mouse size is more suited towards people with medium to large size hands. I use claw grip and have not had any complaints with the mouse shape. The wireless connectivity has also never had any issues for me - the connection is rock solid and the latency is virtually negligible compared to a wired mouse. To those of you who are willing to spend the extra funds for a lightning-fast, shockingly lightweight and tournament-level FPS mouse, then look no further than the Razer Viper V2 Pro.(To my knowledge, as of Feb 2024, this mouse is Overall Rank #2 on RocketJumpNinja's website)

It might be a great, fast, mouse, incredibly lightweight but after about six months the matte coating started wearing off. After three months Synapse stopped recognising it as a Razer mouse, although firmware updates still worked. And today, to cap it off, I rebooted my PC and the dongle isn't recognised.Recap: Expensive mouse. Matte coating wearing off. Razer software won't recognise it. Wireless dongle stopped working.Classic Razer. At least it hasn't caught on fire.

I love this mouse. It’s so light weight, it’s made of a material that isn’t so slippery for my hands when it gets sweaty, and personally I like the modern design of the mouse. The mouse doesn’t take that long to charge in wired mode and when it’s at 100% you can go ages without charging it. Before I started using the Razer viper v2 pro I was using the Logitech g502 hero. The Logitech g502 hero is a 120g mouse, so switching to a 58g mouse made a huge difference. After I got used to the mouse and changed my grip on it since the Logitech g502 hero has a very different shape, my gameplay improved so much. I was able to do flicks and move my mouse so smoothly along my mousepad that I couldn’t do very well with the g502 hero. I’ve only had this mouse for about a month and ... MoreI love this mouse. The only con I can think of about this mouse is that it uses Razer synapse.

I've used Razer mice since I bought my first one at the store in 2003. Their products have been worth every cent, with top notch performance and build quality that really makes you feel good that you spent $300+ on a computer mouse. The Razer Viper V2 Pro is no different. Well, almost. The performance is great, possibly approaching perfection. The battery lasts forever. I'm actually not sure if it has a battery or not, it's been so long since I've charged it. The sensor is probably more powerful than anybody needs, too, which is a feat of engineering. My cat gingerly steps onto my desk and the Razer Viper V2 Pro detects those paws! But the build quality... the build quality feels like something you got out of a gumball machine: beyond cheap. My cat gingerly steps onto my desk and the Razer Viper V2 Pro detects those paws! But the build quality... the build quality feels like something you got out of a gumball machine: beyond cheap. I know that some people prefer the lightweight feel, and the texture is supposed to be good for gripping during hourslong gaming sessions, but it just feels plain cheap in the hand. Like it's been left out at the barber's too long and has been covered in a fine mist of hairspray. To be fair, my last Razer mouse was the 2015 Razer Diamondback Chroma, which set a very high bar for excellence in performance and build quality. But this new Razer just leaves me wanting more.
I had been using the Logitech Pro Superlight 5 months ago until its mouse wheel became problematic, switched to the Viper v2 Pro recently. It has been about a month in with the Viper, have to say I like the Viper a lot more, better gripping, and USB-C charging (more up-to-date compared to Superlight which uses micro USB). I'm using the mouse for both working and gaming, the Viper battery per recharge lasts up to a week and the Logitech Superlight Pro lasts up to a month. In general, I'm happy with Viper v2 Pro, just hoping it won't run into any problem in less than 6 months like the Superlight Pro did.
This mouse is really great for overall gaming and delivers a great performance. The only big issue here is that this mouse is built way cheaper than it costs.I've been using this mouse for over a year now and I've started having problems with the scrollwheel about 6 months of usage. The scrollwheel is completely broken now, e.g. when I scroll up, the mouse scrolls down at the same time and vice versa, which makes the scrollwheel completely useless. This isn't an isolated issue, this is my second mouse from Razer that has had this exact issue, and alot of people are reporting the same issue online.Be wary if you really want to buy a mouse that has only a lifespan of 6-12 months of proper usage.
The mouse is great, the connection is perfect with no drop outs, battery life is long, and the feel is nice. However the scroll wheel is terrible. The problem is that I don't know if that's just how it is or if I got a defective one. Was going to return it and get a different mouse but couldn't be bothered. Besides that, nice mouse.
Bought this mouse for a mix of gaming/work. The low-key design means I can take it into work without feeling like an absolute tool. The lightweight and the wireless features makes using the mouse easy for daily work. In terms of gaming, the responsiveness for click inputs is great, it slides extremely smooth with the PTFE, the supplied mouse grip tape provides a good feel and the profile is good for claw/fingertip grips (19cm x 9cm hands).
