Best Pro Controller for Series X

After searching and reading many reviews, this controller gives you everything you need in my opinion. I’m an average COD player and wanted extra buttons to ease my gameplay. I’ve tried several controllers including the Power A Fusion Pro and cheaper version Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox and its like night and day. I even tried the Razer Wolverine Ultimate, but was not impressed. The Wolverine Ultimate gave me too many buttons that I wasn’t using and the trigger placement felt weird. I would def. recommend this controller if you want a pro controller that gets the job done.

Better than a Scuf, Elite Series 2, and even the Razer Wolverine Ultimate Edition

Also only having the two paddles compared to the 4 on the other controllers is nice because I didn't personally use the other additional two paddles.Stick Drift on Pro controllers seems to be a big issue these days. The Series 2 Elite lasted 4 months before the left thumbstick had unusable stick drift. Same story with the scuf. The Wolverine Ultimate lasted many field rotations as well as many hours worth of gaming with constant input to the left thumbstick. Considering the thumbsticks on the TE are essentially the same as the UE except not removable I think they will holdup for around the same time as the UE.It is wired so be mindful of that, if you play Xbox/PC and are close to your monitor/screen you wont have an issue. The cord is long but I wouldn't recommend using this as a couch controller. This is more of a sit up and play serious type of deal.Playing Rocket League, COD MW and COD BOCW with the TE is amazing. The controller feels nice in the hand and extremely responsive. Vibration feedback could be a bit stronger but ehh, that's not so important unless you truly want to be fully emerged in the game. Most pros turn off vibration anyway. The Razer software is nice, very easy to use and easily customizable (remapping buttons etc.) Additionally you can also change the color scheme of the light strip on the front of the controller which is an added bonus.I would recommend you take a warranty out on this controller through Microcenter, this will ensure that after about year of heavy usage and potential stick drift you can get a new controller no questions asked. 10/10 would recommend.

Elite Series 2 killer!

As an avid First Person Shooter player this controller checks all the boxes! The smooth yet firm finish on the controller makes it feel great in the hands for hours and hours of game play, even for someone like me with pretty sweaty hands. As some one who has gamed on both Series 1&2 Elite controllers I can say this Razer Wolverine is up to par with both! My Elite 1 lasted me a little over a year before my left joystick completely failed, whereas my Elite 2 started the dreaded stick drift 1 that's right 1 week out of the box. I've had the Razor Wolverine for a little under a month and have gamed over 500 Warzone matches on it and yet to have ANY stick drifts nor any problems. The only thing that would be a little odd for some is the thumbstick's themselves are ... MoreAs an avid First Person Shooter player this controller checks all the boxes! The only thing that would be a little odd for some is the thumbstick's themselves are roughly the size of the Xbox 360 thumbsticks, so if you have smaller hands being able to keep your thumbs on the thumsticks and hitting the back bottoms could be quite the feat. Overall this is hands down the best controller I've gamed with! 10/10 would purchase again!

Great value controller

Take this with a grain of salt because I’ve only owned this for a day but before I bought it my friend let me use it which led to my decision of buying this. The back buttons are great, they feel great and they are in a pretty good spot for my fingers. The top extra buttons are okay, not the best but I like the positioning, I thought I wouldn’t but after using it I’m starting to really like it. The D-Pad is phenomenal and the analog sticks are super smooth. The face buttons are the best features and are what sold me on this controller. Super tactile, nice and clicky. It is just extremely satisfying to hit and play with. I can’t attest to the durability of this controller but so far I’ve loved every second of it.

Hot Razer Garbage

Bought it mostly to play Rocket League, after my Microsoft Xbox One controller started having some issues (but was at least a few years old at this point). Initially worked fine, "mouse-like" clicky XYAB buttons took some getting used to but we're fine. Then after about a month of on-off usage, the right trigger starts to make a noise and get stuck down, basically the same problem the Xbox controller ended up having minus the noise.Totally not abusing the controller or anything like that, just lots of right-trigger usage as is expected with virtually any kind of racing game.Knew I shouldn't have trusted Razer. Already got bit by their crap quality in the past. This is maybe worth $30 at best, yet they have the audacity to charge north of $100 for this cheap ... MoreBought it mostly to play Rocket League, after my Microsoft Xbox One controller started having some issues (but was at least a few years old at this point). NOT THE WOLVERINE TOURNAMENT EDITION

I would give this “product” a 0 star review if it could become you promote it as a Razer Wolverine Tournament Edition with pictures of it and all. But in reality after ordering it twice it’s just a misbranded Razer Wolverine Ultimate. Which is a completely different controller from what is advertised.

Overall Good Controller

So to be honest. I have my eyes on this controller for quite some time. Unfortunately i was not gonna spend the money on it. That razer thought was a good price. So just this last prime days i decided to purchase it cause of the massive saving on it.Now with me personally, i spend alot of time reviewing the controller before i decided to buy it. From what it seemed as that it had mixed reviews, but mostly positive. So after it arrived to my house i tested everything to make sure it was completely functioning. It was!And after a month's time of me daily driving it. It seems to be a good controller overall, plus has some pretty nice features to it.Pros1. It feels good in the hand2. Extra back buttons seem to be placed in a tricky spot not to hit, when playing more demanding games.2. The application for the controller rgb and button mapping is nothing special. Wish they would have integrated it to synapse then making it have its own app. But to be honest, ive never been a huge fan of razer synapse set up and constant updates.Overall if i was to give this controller a rating out of 10.Id give it a solid 9/10

Top of its class

I've been using this pad extensively since I purchased it last week. It's jam packed with features via the Razer software, you can customise the lighting, button sensitivity and of course you can remap the back paddles and extra bumpers! You can also create different profiles for different games which is incredibly useful for swift changes in control schemes. It's the first time I've spent this much money on a gaming pad and I am not disappointed. Even the box it arrives in doubles as a carry case thanks to the foam inserts. It's a lightweight model so don't expect the chunky feeling you get from other pads but it seems durable enough, also, it is a wired model which isn't a bad thing but make sure you know what you're buying!

Very Surprised
14 May 2021

I'm really impressed with this controller! I purchased many, many expensive controllers... several approaching the $300 mark. They always fail right a the three month mark and trying to get repairs is a joke. So, wasn't expecting much at this price point considering I can buy three of these at the same, but I am really impressed! Works great! Feels a little small in hand but I think most would get used to it.The back buttons are perfect to me; very similar to Astro. If they make an updated model, the only suggestions I have are making the thumbs compatible with KontrolFreek and adding the ability to change out thumbsticks when/if they develop drift or if you want a different tension.
