Lead acid is dead weight, with fun killing charge time (which would be ok if they actually lasted, but it's what 30-40m tops? 20 for a standard cart?). Every single person I know with any version of crazy cart (and that's A LOT of people) runs an aftermarket Lithium battery.3) Make the "fat tire mod" OEM on XL. I run 4 Ply mini bike tires on my XL and they last 10x longer than the standard 200x50 scooter tires. If you're absolutely determined to stick with 200x50 for handling / legacy, at least use the knobby versions, they last 3-5x longer. And use the knobbies for the standard carts as standard as well.4) Start using rubber grommets where the motor wire passes through the front fork. Lots of carts fail when that eventually breaks or shorts out, and most people have a hard time figuring out what's wrong. The "spring" around the wire is not tough enough for the job.4.5) If you really want to make the ultimate crazy cart, implement an infinity headset! No more damaged wires, and greater stunt possibilities.5) Include a headset wrench with the cart! Very few people own one, but it's a must have because tightening the headset is regular maintenance.6) The aluminum casters are junk, sorry. Everyone is going to hit a crack or something eventually. They just shatter every time. Ship XLs with the beefy steel casters you already sell. They're not bulletproof but they're way tougher than the aluminum ones.7) Consider using XT60 connectors for the batteries. Everyone uses that connector, it makes sharing packs 1000x easier. It just becomes plug and play.8) BIG ONE HERE: Get rid of the chain tensioners. Seriously. Build a spacer for the motor if you have to. I deleted my tensioner and my cart is SO MUCH SMOOTHER AND QUIETER now. The plastic chain guide on the main gear prevents chain drops (I've never lost the chain since I deleted the tensioner).9) Consider using M8 bolts instead of M6 bolts to hold the drive gear onto the wheel. The M6s are so easy to strip out or break off, I have to drill and tap wheels to M8 regularly. Bonus points if you can use the same head drive head as the casters so it's one less tool to carry for repairs. Most of us do not ride at home so we have to carry our tools with us in case of a problem.10) Ten to make this a well rounded wishlist: PAD THE SEAT, PLEASE WE'RE BEGGING YOU. OR AT LEAST SELL A PADDED OPTION!I love this cart so much and I'll never sell it, but before my durability modifications I spent more time fixing than I did riding it. People like me will never pay MSRP for these carts unless they're built to better standards. We have owned the original smaller Crazy Cart for 4 yrs now and it has been very durable so we decided to get the new Crazy Cart XL. The wheels are to small for this heavy cart and one fell off the cart with in one hour of using the cart. They do mention to tighten the wheels but the bracket that holds the wheel to the cart came undone. You have to remove the wheel to tighten this bolt then put the wheel back on. The design of the chain is too close to the ground. The chain was hitting the concrete a few times. This cart should only be used indoors on very smooth concrete only but I believe you will still have the problems with the wheels. They give you two extra for I think they know they break off easily but once the bracket breaks you cannot repair it for the bearing fall out and you need it repaired.

We have had nothing but issues with this. Second day riding it, the entire back castor and wheel completely came off the cart. Razor sent a new part. Then rode it and the front tire exploded and the cart crashed to the ground, causing damage to the cart and chain area. Razor is denying the claim, saying it’s normal. My son rode this FOUR times. I’m taking it back.

Writing this as a counter argument to the people talking about the poor quality and design of the wheels, front and rear. If you don't use the drift bar, you will SHRED the tires. If you are sliding on a rough surface with cracks, rocks, potholes etc., you will SHRED the tires. Smooth pavement and manipulation of the drift bar to initiate and extend turning, sliding, spinning, going in reverse, etc is going to give you a much longer tire life. And always keep your front tire inflated to the right PSI (especially right out of the box) and check it regularly. People tend to hop on and start yanking, driving into curbs and over debris, and not using the drift bar, which puts a ton of shearing, lateral pressure on the wheels-- the key is finesse! I bought this about 5 years ago for $300.00 less than it is now, thinking that the online reviews were just unlucky people, with my intention to have some summer fun for a change. That's not what happened. 3 months after I got it, a blown tire tube. Then a stripped wheel hub. Then a bad motor. Along with that, I've replaced about 5 casters and 2 tires. The Service dealer close to me would not respond to fix it. Myself being a handyman, these were no problem for me, just time consuming. The parts were expensive though. Then, the steering governor broke, which is a part you cannot buy. So now it is sitting in my basement, while I figure out how to make/build/buy/repair this part. Santa Claus brought this for my son, it was a hit for a few hours. Then the tire popped, then the electrical broke, then the new tire popped and then the 3rd tire popped and lastly the steering stem broke. Very very upset for $1k it is 100% a let down. This product has a warranty for 90 days so Santa Claus is in the process of returning this.
The cart is absolutely a blast! My 13 year old twins love this cart, they both have their own and ride daily on our flat concrete driveway. However, within the first week of riding both of our carts broke down, the wires to the motor had both severed and lost continuity (poor design). Once fixed, both castors on the rear have broken within days of fixing the motor (cheap castors, poor design). I have been repeating these issues every couple of weeks which makes the maintenance on this cart unbearable. I wish I could get a refund but now it's been longer than 90 days and both carts are broken again, sitting in the shop waiting to be fixed. One has a bad motor and the other cart just won't work, I believe it's a bad power controller.

The wheels draining rated on the first run. We have bought several products from Razor in the past and was happy when for years. We upgraded to this cart when our kid outgrew the others. What a huge disappointment! Even when we change out the wheels (yes we’ve done that too) they simply shred up the very next use. Not only do the wheels themselves shred easily but the while wheel chase keeps coming off while in use. We bought 2 carts so it can’t just be one defective anomaly. We have similar problems on both units. For such an expensive unit it should not break the first time it’s used.
So my son had his Crazy Cart for about 4 days when it completely stopped working. My husband took a look at it and there were some wires that were entirely too short. When you turn the steering wheel it pulled the wires lose. Also Today is day 8 and it already needs a new FRONT TIRE. It did come with extra back tires but not front. He does love it and says it’s super fun, but it could be made a little better if you ask me. The batteries should come out so you can get more than one and alternate them.
