Real Techniques - Foundation Blender

I was in love with this brush and even bought an extra for back-up. But then I got into BeautyBlender sponge and I was using that for awhile. I recently went back to this and just haven’t went back to my BB sponge! This brush is perfect for many different applications..for example, when I want a lighter sheer natural coverage I simply add less foundation and sweep or buff the brush using a lighter hand. When I want a full coverage I add a decent amount of foundation and really get in there buffing into my skin. I also have a super duper expensive name brand foundation brush which is garbage compared to this. If you prefer using a brush for makeup application vs a sponge and want that extra coverage or want the coverage but still light natural look. This brush can achieve both and is the brush to choose! Oh Ps. Remember that back-up brush I bought? I haven’t even opened it yet! My original is still in mint condition and I have never had any issue at all with it losing shape or shedding bristles! It still looks and works perfectly fine and as good as new!

If you’re looking for a no fuss, multipurpose face brush, this is it. I don’t have a lot of time to get ready in the morning, so I love how quickly I can get my makeup done with this brush. It buffs in liquid foundation in less than 10 seconds. When I travel, I can get away with bringing just this one brush to do my whole face make up. The bristles are soft and dense. It can apply powder foundation like a kabuki brush. It’s a great shape for blush or bronzer and you can lightly tap on a finishing powder as well. I’ve already purchased backups!

This thing has had me doing my own double-takes for a couple of years now. I've been using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush for quite sometime and I absolutely love it. After countless uses and weekly washings it still is as good as the day I first used it. It's made from synthetic fibers so it's 100% cruelty free, and can be used for both cream and liquid products. I've, in a pinch, also used it to apply powder products and thought it did a good job. I think it applies liquid foundations better than more expensive brushes I have. It always creates a beautiful finish no matter what brand or type of foundation I use. It's perfect as a gift for anyone just getting into makeup and starting their collection. It's extremely affordable and can be purchased at a number of stores both online or in person. I definitely recommend.

Did not work for me

I am a huge fan of real techniques brushes and after trying out a number of their products, I can easily say that not all their brushes are winners. I had such high hopes for this concealer brush based on the reviews and it’s overall appearance. The shape of the bristles looked perfect, rounded, dense and flat but still soft. So I decided to purchase and try it out. I wanted a brush that could blend my under eye concealer effortlessly and in a matter of seconds. However, this brush did not produce the results I expected and did a worse job than the brush I’m currently using. The application was not smooth, but rather splotchy, uneven and had very minimal coverage. In all, I do not recommend this brush, at least for the under eyes. Good

Bought this for my mil. She doesn’t apply makeup on daily basis but more on special occasions or dinners. So clearly she doesn’t gravitate towards (pro) brushes with long handles. Hence when i saw this chubby one from a reputable brand I immediately bought it for her to blend out her foundation. Havent heard her complain so should be ok! She has a knack for cleanliness and the brush can rest on its end without the bristles touching the dresser which is great. (Those who want an expensive brand can opt for Shu Uemura’s petal brush).

One of the best brushes I've ever used

I love this brush already, and I've only used it twice so far. It doesn't hold more product than it applies, so I'm able to get the exact coverage I want. I use it to put on my setting powder. It applies that powder nice and smoothly. Along with the Airbrush OMG foundation brush from IT Cosmetics, this brush has made it easier to put on my makeup and has reduced the amount of time I spend on my makeup routine each morning. I'm here for it. Who doesn't like high quality and saving time (especially in the morning when they're definitely not a morning person lol)?

The best brush for what ever foundation you use.

I love this foundation blending brush. I know it says for liquid foundation. I don’t use liquid foundations. It’s terrible for your skin. I use mineral powder make up. That is good for your skin and hydrates instead of clogging and drying it out. But this is the best brush for applying my foundation. It glides and blends so well. If you need extra coverage in a certain area. It does that. The brush is extremely soft, and very densely packed more so than a traditional kabuki brush. Plus it doesn’t shed at all. I have had mine for several years. It still looks and works as well as the day I bought it. I can’t say the same for the much higher priced kabuki brushes I have bought numerous times in the past. The perfect powder brush!

I can't tell you enough how much I love this makeup brush. It's perfect for applying pressed powder foundation or setting powder. I don't use liquid foundation so I rely on powder foundations to get the coverage I need. This having a more "flat" side helps me pack on the product without streaks. I use a tapping motion to get the powder onto my skin, and this is a method I would use with any classically shaped powder brush. It's just so much easier with the shape of this brush. Highly recommend.
