I am in love with these boxes. Simply put, I have yet to come across a better box than this for storing DVDs, PlayStation and Xbox games, and any other sort of optical storage disc.These boxes are strong, rigid, and light. I can snap them shut, and I'm not sure how air/water tight they are, but I have yet to run into any issues. They also stack very nicely, kind of clicking into place like LEGO bricks.And the discs fit perfectly. Like a tailored suit.Yes, they may be a smidge more pricy than some other storage solutions, but I have yet to find one, and I've used PLENTY of storage solutions in my time.I would rate this at 6 stars if I could.

I searched the internet for hours looking for a suitable storage system for my Music CD's and Movied DVD's. Most of the products I saw were soft case and did not bave much storage copacity.Finally found the"6.87 Qt. Snap Lid Storage Box, Clear (6.5C)" supplied by Staples.These were a great find. Althougth made of plastic the design is very strong and the boxes are stackable.I bought (4) boxes for my CD's. Now I'll get more to store my DVD's.Moreover these boxes were in stock at the local Staples store so I was able to pick them up withour waiting for shipping.I'm very pleased with the product and would highly reccomend it to others.

Bought this CD clear storage box & now wish I had bought another. You can put DVD's in also. The paper inside said 20 DVD's or 36 CD's but I put 37 in it. And the lid fits perfect. Before I had 2 plastic containers stacked on top of each other and If I wanted a CD on the bottom I'd have to move the top box. And in those boxes the lid wouldn't fit. Now it's so easy to slide one box in and out. Wished I'd bought a second one. And the lid fits securely. Keeps your CD's in place. Probably do the same for DVD's but my DVD's are in those thin DVD/CD cases and is too long to fit. I'm gonna look here on line to see If I can find another and buy one.

I love these boxes; i currently own 8 or 9 of them. The length of the 6.5 L is sufficient for about 38 standard jewel cases, and if you put them in with the spine facing up (rather than sideways as in the photo), there's enough width left over to slip in a few extras along the side. Using this method, i was able to fit 80 slim jewel cases in one box, which enabled me to store an entire 15-season TV series all together while freeing it from its treacherously-designed original packaging.On my most recent purchase, i bought 4 boxes, and two of them had stickers on the lids -- apparently added at the warehouse or something? -- that effectively wrecked them. I was only able to remove about 90% of the bright orange one with the barcode on it, and the smaller white one ... MoreI love these boxes; i currently own 8 or 9 of them. Unfortunately, one of the new boxes also had an unremovable sticker on its lid... i didn't complain about that one, because i felt like Staples had already gone above and beyond in response to my cosmetic complaint; but Staples should be made aware that somebody in their supply chain is trashing these boxes, and Staples customers should be made aware that it's okay because they have AWESOME customer service!
I'm torn because this brand has nearly perfect products, but if my review gets people to buy them they'll sell out. I've never seen a more secure way of storing media. They're made in England and if you buy directly from them from the US the shipping prices are astronomical. So hopefully Staples keeps selling these (along with the extra large sizes for records!)
I first bought this box for my daughter when she was young. the box is just like new. My son has one of these as well that he is keeping his Yugioh cards in. I just bought 2 more to help organize our media area and will probably get at least one more - Very sturdy boxes. They stack well. Handles snap over lid to keep them secure. So small items can be kept in here without fear of things spilling out.
Well made, seemingly durable product. I purchased for seed storage, just the right heigh and width for the packs. I do wish there were dividers for this particular item as there are for other storage by this brand. I will most likely buy another one, and some board to make my own dividers.
Really Useful plastic storage boxes are The Best. They are very sturdy, you can see the contents, they seal well, and they come in really useful sizes. I use this size for CDs to keep in my car when I travel. This size also is used to store my postcard collection, sewing notions and fabric scraps. There is a similar box, same height and width but half the length, that is really useful too. I pass by all the other stores and go to Staples because they carry this brand of storage container.
Acceptable solution for my fairly extensive dvd/vhs collection. Fits 14 DVD or 10-12 vhs. Clear sides allows me to access easily, Snap lid allows me to move the collection as needed while providing protection. Unfortunately, local store was only able to carry 5 boxes so I will need to go online for another 3-4
Using these to store CDs that are no longer used on a daily basis. Slightly less convenient than an open shelf, but allow more flexibility in storage and much easier to keep clean, a net gain in my book. And the box can be labelled by just dropping an index card into the box.
