(3,518 reviews)

Whether you’re just getting into records, rediscovering a record collection long since buried away or simply adding a turntable to complete your system, the AT-LP60X fully automatic belt-drive turntable is an excellent choice. An update of the popular AT-LP60, the ATLP60X features a redesigned tonearm base and headshell to improve tracking and reduce resonance. Noise is further reduced by the inclusion of an AC adapter that moves the AC/DC conversion outside of the chassis where its impact on the signal chain is limited. Audio-Technica has been a leader in phono cartridge design for more than 50 years, and that expertise shows in the AT-LP60X’s Dual Magnet cartridge with replaceable stylus. The cartridge is integrated into the headshell for assured performance and ease of setup. The turntable comes with a detachable RCA output cable (3.5 mm male to dual RCA male), 45 RPM adapter, and a removable hinged dust cover. It is available in black (AT-LP60X-BK), brown/black (AT-LP60X-BW), gunmetal/black (AT-LP60X-GM), and red/black (AT-LP60X-RD).

Pros: Fantastic turntable. Great auto function, really good value for money. I know other reviews said a clip to hold the arm in place or a lift lever would be an improvement, but seeing this is an automatic arm the clip risks damaging the arm if in place when the start button is pressed and no lever is necessary as there are lift and lower buttons I feel those improvements are unnecessary, in fact it is better without them. I really highly recommend this turntable. I connected it to my Samsung sound bar and sound quality great.Cons: Nothing at all.

Good entry level turntable, with option to use an amplifier for sound or a hifi system if you have an auxilary input on the hifi. Simple to use and with minimal assembly required. Don't be put off by those audiophile snobs who claim that the LP60 will ruin records- It won't. The tracking force (the amount of force the stylus puts on the record) is preset at 3.5 grammes. The big record companies released a spec sheet for records back in the 1960's and the ideal maximum tracking force qouted was 5-6 grammes. The old large portable automatic record players from the 50's, 60's and 70's usually used to track at around 5-6 grammes and millions of records from those days survive in good condition. Some people will say that there is no "Anti skate" system for the tone arm- Yes there is but it's pre set. You are more likely to damage records by playing them with a damaged/worn stylus. Audio Technica suggest changing the stylus after 400-500 hours use Some people will say that the speed fluctuates on LP60's, yes, sometimes it does but that is usually down to a stretched drive belt that starts to slip, which is a servicable part anyway- Both simple to change and cheap to buy. It can simply be changed in a minute. The LP60 can trace it's roots back to the early 1990's, the mechanical workings have been in production at least 30 years, so the design must work otherwise people wouldn't buy them. All in all, an excellent starter turntable but the lp60's with the X suffix are the ones to go for as there are one or two little tweeks.

I received this turntable a couple of weeks ago as one of several players under $100. After reviewing the AT-LP60X, I have to say that I am impressed with this model all around. The build quality as a whole is actually decent with a sturdy cast aluminum platter. The only real issue I see with the design is the tonearm being built mainly out of plastic which may give you issues with tracking down the road. The sound quality is actually really good once you fine tune your setup. I paired mine with some Polk Audio Signature series speakers powered by an Onkyo TX-NR686 receiver. If you know how to set your Equalizer, it will really bring the sound to life. All in All Audio Technica has been around for years and they really know their stuff so you can't go wrong with ... MoreI received this turntable a couple of weeks ago as one of several players under $100. Superb package deal, perfect for all my playing needs from old to new vinyl records, the speakers sound absolutely amazing and they got a really good bass punch for a small speaker set and you can control the bass/treble to get the right sound for any room they are in and the Bluetooth feature with remote control is and added bonus to link up music from your phone. Also the turntable is extremely good quality and very clever when a record finishes the needle lifts and the tone arm returns to the tone arm rest without having to touch anything. Would highly recommend the package and company. Prompt delivery

The edifier speakers sound awesome. If you like bass then these will do you. These speakers are sturdy, compact and pack a fantastic sound. I am thinking about adding an amp but not sure if it realy needs it. (Gotta do a bit more research and I'm very happy for any advice given to me.)The turntable looks snazzy and is very easy to set up.I can't grumble with the price either. It is well worth the money.Go for the bundle, you won't be disappointed.

Pros: I had read quite a few reviews before settling on this. I had a record player in the 80s before going to study. But then didn't have one for years but still had all my collection. Finally, I got round to buying a player to plug into our stereo system. Some of the portable systems had reviews saying the sound wasn't too good. And there's plenty of things that are very expensive. This seemed to be between, a proper player, but not a ridiculous price. And I'm very pleasantly surprised. Most importantly, the sound is perfectly good. Okay, I feed it into an amp with a phono setting and that works well. I believe you can also do without that phone setting. Or just use headphones into the back. Only thing was that the headphone jack to stereo inputs (for the amp) cable was too short, but I had one of those spare anyway. The auto start and stop works just fine on 7 and 12 inch records just fine. You can also do it manually if you just want a single track, not the whole album. And never had a single problem yet with jumping or anything. So, if you want a turntable with decent sound, don't need it to be outrageously portable (i.e. the suitcase models) and don't want to break the bank, then this might just be for you.

I'll start with the positive. Really easy to use and hook up to almost anything. I bought it on a whim a couple years ago and it helped me get into vinyl really for the first time. It has played everything I put on it without skipping. Now for negatives. For one thing, it looks and feels cheap. I know it IS cheap, but it looks and feels REALLY cheap. It weighs like a pound. The timing is all jacked up and there's no easy way to adjust it (or to adjust anything). Mine plays quite fast, up about a half step in pitch, and playing a 5 minute song in like 4:45.The stylus is a cheap piece of junk, and worst of all there is no way to replace it with a better one or upgrade the cartridge in any way. It's a serviceable entry-level turntable, but it's also a dead-end.
