I received these products for free from Influenster and Redken in exchange for my honest review. I loved this product! The scent of it is very light, I can't pin point what the smell was exactly but there was definitely a scent to it 😊. The texture is very gel like super creamy and of a light thickness. I will tell you though just a little but of the product will go a long way. I split my very long, thick hair in half and i I used just a little more than a pea sized amount on each side and found that it was enough to thoroughly coat each side of my hair. Now as for my personal experience with this product,… I used this leave-in treatment when styling my hair with heat and also when air-drying. It worked better for heat styling, but it gave good results for both methods. This product has a thicker creamy consistency to it, so you don’t need a lot. Start with a dime-sized amount and apply to your damp hair before styling. After using this treatment several times, I can honestly say that this tamed my frizz and added a beautiful healthy shine to my hair, but it didn’t weigh it down like some other leave-in products do. I noticed that with consistently using the entire range of Redken’s Acidic Bonding products, my hair looked SUPER healthy and full of body, which was a pleasant change from its usual damaged flat look! I must admit, I’ve gotten a little lazy with my hair the past year or so and it really shows, especially with the breakage and frizz… Caring for my hair with this 3-step system made a huge difference in the strength and health of every single strand! I am happy to recommend this Redken Acidic Perfecting Leave-In Treatment and the rest of the products that go with it!

I have to say out of all the leave-in treatments for haircare products I've tried, so far this Redken Acidic Bonding Treatment is my favorite. Better results and quicker! I love the smell of this product, and it isn't over powering but smells like you just left the hair salon. Super easy to use. I did notice there was not any description on the bottle on how much to apply to my hair. Knowing from trial and error, I have learned to only use a small amount. Adding too much will make your hair feel very slick and almost feel like there is product left over. I also noticed it is more beneficial to blow dry your hair after applying this leave-in treatment verses air drying. When I did blow dry my hair, it made my hair look fantastic. I normally have oily hair and have to wash it everyday. It is salon color treated and bleached( platinum blonde ) . Since I have always used Redken Color Shampoo, Conditioners and heat drying protection for my hair, I reached out to Ulta and Redken for help. They suggested the Acidic Shampoo, Conditioner, and Leave In Conditioner. I figured since I had already spent several hundreds of dollars trying many other products suggested and I was at my wits end, so why not try it. Now I can blow dry it and style as normal. The Leave In Conditioner is amazing, so please be sure you get this one too. Don't know why people say this product smells bad, because they don't. If they did, I wouldn't use it and would send it back. If you are experiencing difficulty with your hair, yes indeed I highly and strongly recommend all 4 of these products together, you will not regret it! Thank you Redken products for saving my hair.

I tested this leave-in conditioner alongside the shampoo and conditioner in this line. I did not like the shampoo and felt lukewarm about the conditioner. Initially my hair felt fluffy (maybe even poofy) and soft. It seemed like it might be even retaining water better. I thought that was a good thing. Over the course of the week my hair became more and more unmanageable which was NOT a problem for me prior to using these products. My hair felt and feels soooooo dry and soooo tangled. It's almost like I bleached it all over again, which I swore I'd never do. I cannot get my curls to really set without proofing out and getting frizzy. I used to be able to make one wash and go last a few days. Now my curls will not even last a whole day. It's truly heart breaking because I've worked so so hard over the past few years to get my hair in a healthy place. I've sacrificed length and time and money. I know for a fact this acidic bonding line caused this damage cause it was the ONLY change I made to my hair care routine that was working very well for me. I couldn't recommend this product line any less. I'm sick that I didn't write this review sooner and was even sicker when I came to see it has 4.6 stars. I ended up splurging on the Ol*plex and while it helps a little my hair is still not the same. I'm going to cut off a few inches and see if that helps with the unmanageable tangles. Good luck < 3

Hi, I very rarely write reviews and typically it takes for me to really love and recommend a product or to really dislike a product and warn people of my results and unfortunately this time this review is really negative. I have used this product once, and will not use it again. I have naturally long and thick hair and was looking for a ' leave in ' type product - I'm sure that us long haired ladies can all agree that our hair is super important to us and I try my best personally to research a lot before I choose a product to introduce very carefully!! On the plus side though ( yes, there is one ) .. it does smell quite nice whilst it is in the hair but I'll definitely not be using again nor will I be recommending to anyone else with my hair type. On the other hand, I absolutely love the Redken Extreme Strength Repair Shampoo and Conditioner range - so if you are looking for a Redken product that really works, I'd recommend those hugely, xo
