Redken Brews Outplay Texture Pomade (100ml)

Though it is pricey, you do get a decent amount of product. It is easy to emulsify between hands. However it is supposed to be maximum control with a matte finish, but I find that it isnt much of those things. It also makes my hair feel dirty and weighed down.

I really enjoyed this product. The pomade works well with my hair, and it has a somewhat matte finish so my hair is not too shiny. I feel like the product works well, and it has a medium hold so I don't feel like my hair is a helmet while I have it in my hair. I would recommend the product.

I had high hopes for this product because it’s redken. I have a pixie cut and like to push my hair back, almost slicked but not shiny. Literally all this did was make my hair look dirty and greasy, even though I used a tiny amount. It had zero hold. It really weighed my hair down and took away all of the volume I worked so hard to put into it. I just all around hate this product. Returning it ASAP. Don’t recommend.

Disappointed =/

I was expecting a long lasting hold but it's not the case. I don't know if it's because I don't use the right amount or if it doesn't work very well with my thin hair! However I tested a big quantity and a small quantity and nothing makes... I am obliged to apply hairspray more to hold my hair. Moreover, I don't like the perfume very much.

Excellent Product!

I was skeptical of a pomade that would and or could create texture. This product is truly amazing. This will be my 3rd product from the Redken Brews collection, and it may be the best hair styling products I have ever used.

Great for short hair

My husband loves this for his short hair! Has used it for years! I love that it doesn't have an overly strong scent to it. It doesn't take much at all in your hair to give you texture and a little hold. We hate that this is so hard to find now! Thank you for having this!

Great pomade for men

I am a fanatic about finding great hair styling products. I like strong hold, but not rock hard. I like flexibility that also keeps your hair styled throughout the day. This was a great choice for what I was looking for. Easy to wash out, smells nice and easy to rub into your hands to shape that hair. I have hair that's short on the sides and long on top (long part is pushed to one side). Cool branding/packaging too

No fragrance, medium hold with mat finish.

This has been my go to hair product for years. It has almost no fragrance, which is what I like about it most, it doesn’t conflict them with other clone or body spray. It goes on easy with a mat finish. It it has a good hold, but is far from being a strong hold.

Perfect!

This stuff is amazing. I wear my hair punked up/funky/spiky and this is perfect (I have thick hair). Top it off with the Redken Brews hairspray and it holds all day. I have an amazing hair stylist too, but I'm the one that does my hair every day (lol) and receive compliments literally every day. I think I've tried practically every paste on the market at some point, and this stuff is by far the best.

Surprisingly disappointed

I love Redkin's hair products, their shampoos and conditioners specifically being my most preferred. I was very shocked to try this product to realize almost immediately how it was not going to work. I attempted to try different ways of apply and molding it into my hair for three different applications, but all resulting in clumpy, flat, and uncontrollable hair within and hour. I try to use different types of hair products for my hair but this is one I can't use again. It is advertised to be best for those who have thicker hair, but I can confirm it is not made for that at all.
