Redken Extreme Length Shampoo 500ml

Let me start by saying my hair has no dye or product in it so this product review is based on natural hair response. This is an impressive hair care product from Redken, geared toward length and strength. If those are two hair qualities you are seeking for yourself, then this is the hair line for you! Firstly, I love that this product has such a payoff, for so little a price to pay. I’ve tried shampoo from all price ranges, including the very expensive raved about MLM type brands. My hair feels refreshed, I’ve noticed significant improvements with the bounce and structure of my curls. The biggest payoff for me is that this product has helped my curls stay structured longer!! Previously my hair would dry curly and cute but the curls would immediately fall or frizz out with a day/ponytail/sleeping. Not with Redken lengthen and strengthen though! I cannot believe how helpful this has been. I genuinely did not have any expectation of huge payoff and boy was I impressed!

I always have my reservations about products that promote growth but this one generally surprised me. I notice a huge difference in my hair since I’ve started using this. My hair was falling out and was so scraggly and thin and just not in the best shape. Since I’ve used this I’ve started noticing less fall out and my hair feels GOOD. I am not an everyday shampooer so I do think that has something to do with the end results. I also change up my shampoo and conditioning routine, so this gets used maybe 1-2 times a month. I’ve seen some reviews Dayi g their hair feels dry and falls out after using this and I will say too much of a good thing is not always good. Use this sporadically instead of daily.

I was really excited for the extreme lengths system because I have pretty fine, thin, breakage prone hair. I also feel like more recently my hair has been thinning. The Redken Extreme Length Shampoo is meant to be paired with the other products in the system- which I have been doing. It leaves my hair feeling clean. But I have used products in the past that my hair almost feels too clean- and I can barely get my fingers through it. Not like that at all. The scent is nice! I liked the way all of the products made my hair feel in combination with each other. There were a few things that I think I should note about the shampoo. 1. The bottle does not state how much you should use. Obviously you can figure that out on your own. But I started with too little and didn’t get a good enough lather so had to use more. 2. Also on the bottle, the directions state to follow shampoo use with the Extreme Length Conditioner and Sealer Split End Treatment. I did not receive the Sealer Split End Treatment, I received the Triple Action Treatment intended for use between shampooing and conditioning. So long story short there, I just felt the instructions could have been a little more clear and could have maybe included the other products in the line if it is intended to be customizable based off hair needs. Overall, I’m very happy with this shampoo and when I run out, I will absolutely buy more!

I have been using this for a month now and my hair has never felt better, it’s not drying, it doesn’t make my hair brittle, it has stopped my hair from shedding a lot, it has even brought back my natural curl! So it you are looking for something that both makes your hair stronger and helps growth and less breakage this is it!!

Decent but not splurge worthy

For the price its a bit much. The bottle is small and the price is high for a shampoo that honestly leaves my hair kind of dry and dull. But I always had dry hair to begin with so I wasn't expecting a miracle anyways. That being said, I'm still recommending this product because I did notice my hair grow at a faster rate. Not sure if my other products in my hair care routine contributed to it, but I would assume seeing results after switching my shampoo helped. I've been through 2 bottles but I'm officially going to stop now. For the price I don't find it so worth it, but my ultimate decision to stop was solely because of the smell. I cannot stand it, its not bad but its perfumey. I wanna smell fresh not like a perfume department. It smells heavy like grandma perfume ... MoreFor the price its a bit much. I first heard about how good this shampoo was and how it helps with hair growth. I was excited to use because I desperately wanted to grow my hair out. After using it about 7-8 times or so I can say that it's not worth purchasing and rather stick to organic remedies and vitamins. Lately, I've been psyching myself out after showering because I noticed a good amount of fall out that comes out when brush my hair (my hair is naturally curly) or even in the showering after shampooing and conditioning. I thought possibly it would be because of my history of hair processing and dyeing. But, I never had this issue before until I've used this specific shampoo. Hair loss

I never write reviews about products but I just had to warn anyone thinking about buying this product. DONT! Especially if you have naturally thin and fragile hair. I started using this product a couple of months ago when I noticed my hair started falling out more than normal. Clumps would come out without even having to pull on it. After the shower my hairbrush would be full of hair. I started taking collagen and doing hair masks, not using heat on my hair, and doing oil treatments. I also started on vitamins, supplements, went to the doctor thinking something was wrong with me. Nothing changed in my life (stress, diet, etc) that could've explained this other than my change in shampoo &conditioner. Please stay away. Before I go in depth I'd like to say that I had high expectations for this shampoo. Smelt great and it seems like all the positive reviews sold me. At first, I did not have an issue with the products a little went a long way. The more I used it though I started to notice my hair was falling out. What seemed like chunks stripping away when I washed my hair and brushed it. I have naturally curly on the thin side hair and that was probably my mistake. I've only used these products about 7-8 ish times or so and would wash my hair after 4 days or so considering my hair is processed and dyed. Tonight was my last straw with this product. While I was washing my hair and conditioning it / brushing out, hair would keep stripping away and I think I've have had it. Wish I had read the reviews

I started using this product close to a year ago and my hair definitely grew and it happened fast. Within about 4 months of using it my hair suddenly was breaking and I had terrible split ends. I couldn't figure out what could have caused it-sun damage,age, wind from 1 or 2 rides on a motorcycle etc...it was a mystery cuz I had done NOTHING out of the ordinary to cause it. I ran out of the shampoo about 6 months ago and haven't replaced it simply because I have so many other things I've been using to try to repair my hair & it's finally getting back to healthy. Today I was thinking about ordering this since I had to cut off alot of damaged hair & would like it to grow...then I read the reviews. Around July - August, my hair just got dry, crisp, and limp. It also was shredding more. I was confused at what was wrong. This was the only thing I was using. From the hair mask, shampoo, conditioner, and even leave-in conditioner...it just kept getting worse. I discovered that in the the summer and heat, the ingredients in this product which contain sulfate is not good for your hair and dries it out.
