I absolutely love this leave in heat protection cream! I have weird curly hair some tight some loose and some straight. I straighten my hair a few times a week and this product is fantastic for a leave in cream. It doesn't leave it greasy when only applying less than a dime size to wet hair working it through. I recommend this to my clients as well. It does a great job at conditioning as well, leaving the hair smooth and shiny.

To start with I have lived in some HUMID places (Texas and Iowa/Illinois). I have thick course dark wavy/curly hair. I use a straightener to style my hair. I used to style it about every other day pre-Motherhood but now it is about once a week. However, when I do style my hair I use the Redken Frizz Dismiss and it is the only thing that tames my hair. Especially now that my postpartum hair is growing back I have crazy baby hairs that like to stick up and out. I love using this because Redken is a high quality product and the price point is a little high but it is worth the price.

Very happy with the results of this shampoo and conditioner. I have very long, fine 2c/3a hair that’s super frizzy and tangles easily. I’ve been testing other anti-frizz products and haven’t found anything that ACTUALLY worked so my expectations weren’t high for this one either. But so far, this is working great and way better than any other anti-frizz duo I’ve ever tried. Both the shampoo and conditioner are THICK which is every frizzy haired girls dream. I wouldn’t say it completely gets rid of all frizz, but my hair is silkier and I can actually let it naturally air dry without looking like Hermione Granger which is all I can ask for. The scent is ok. It smells like generic shampoo, but it doesn’t linger so I don’t really care. The size is great and will last me ... MoreVery happy with the results of this shampoo and conditioner. Only complaint about the bottle is the top is a little loose. And because the product is so thick, it takes a little extra oomph to get it out and then the bottle stays squeezed. I don’t know if it’s just the type of plastic they used or what, but it’s a little annoying if you are easily annoyed by those types of things lol. Regardless of those very nitpicky complaints, Would hands down repurchase.

I don’t have a huge problem with frizz because I have really fine hair but this was recommended by my hairstylist so I got the big giant bottle and pump from Ulta. Happy with it. Doesn’t say my hair down and it feels soft always. I have noticed it’s more manageable, like on second day of not washing my hair used to be a poof ball. it’s definitely way smoother in the mornings so I can extend how long I go between washes. Overall enjoy this product. Has a different scent than I’m used to. But I do like it now.
Pros: According to Loreal, which owns Redken, the corporation is a leader in the anti-animal testing movement and thanks to this, since 2014, certain shampoos and conditioners are no longer tested on animals in China. Supposedly Redken shampoos and conditioners are not tested on animals and supposedly none of the the ingredients are tested separately on animals, either. That gives me hope. This conditioner does a miraculous job of keeping my hair less frizzy. For those of you who have experienced the difference in your coarse, frizzy hair when you visit a dry climate, this product delivers a similar, silkier, smoother result. It's amazing! For those of you who have experienced the difference in your coarse, frizzy hair when you visit a dry climate, this product delivers a similar, silkier, smoother result. It's amazing! When I spent time at Heavenly Valley on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe, my hair felt like I'd had the Brazilian smoothing treatment but when I lived in Hawaii the only place I didn't experience massive aloha was in how frizzy my hair always was. My hair has become less coarse when using both the the Redken Frizz Dismiss Shampoo and Conditioner together. I'm a fan of the scent; it's fresh and neutral, not overly fruity, green or powdery. I'm not sure what it's like to use one and not the other, so I can only speak to what it's like to use both products together.Cons: Kind of expensive! The shampoo contains an ingredient I'm allergic to: Methylisothiazolinone. It's a preservative and lots of people, including me, get a rash/hives from it. I know this is the conditioner I'm reviewing, but it's better to use the products together, so I'm mentioning this here as well as in my shampoo review. Not so easy to find in stores. I haven't seen it anywhere myself. I'd suggest you purchase it when you see it for this reason.
I’ve got thin, fine, fluffy hair that I thought was impossible to unfrizz. Redken Frizz Dismiss does exactly what it says on the bottle. I’ve used it twice now, and I can’t believe the difference in my hair. It feels a lot thicker, heavier, and smoother. I only usually put conditioner on the lower half of my hair, and I’m seriously amazed at the results. The only small criticism I would have is of the bottle itself. The product is so thick, it’s hard to squeeze out of the small hole in the lid. Not a huge problem, I can put it in a different bottle… or keep it upside down. Definitely a product I’ll keep using in the future!
I have spiral curly, frizzy, dry hair that requires heavy conditioning and moisturizing. I have tried so many brands and Frizz Dismiss works the best for my hair. There are 2 cons for me: 1 is the price. (Yes, prices are high on everything right now, but Redken was much more reasonably priced until Loreal bought it out years ago). The 2nd is that the conditioner is hard to get out of the bottle. I buy the liter size and have to leave it upside down (even when bottle is full). Then I remove the cap (vs using the normal pop up opener) to squeeze out the conditioner. Kind of a pain, but worth the effort since it helps my hair.
I have 2 daughters w totally different types of hair, my 15 year old has long beautiful curly hair (like the girl from Legends of the Fall) and my 18 year old has very thin hair with a loose curl in the ends, beautiful light golden brown color though.... The only flaw is that they have so much frizz at the top and it looks like baby hair. We live in South Texas where it is humid so that's a given. I was recommended this product and I love it, They use a quarter size amount at the base after they towel dry their hair which dramatically tames their hair. I now have to buy another bottle for my other daughter but it's totally worth it.
I have naturally quite thick and wavy, long hair and was looking for a product to help tame the frizz I get in more humid weather. I’m not sure if I’ve noticed much of a difference with the frizz, but have noticed that the cream unfortunately does give my ends a little bit of a “crunch” after blowdrying. The cream itself is quite nice to apply to damp hair and has simple, effective packaging. However, I don’t love it for me! I think I will go with a spray next time just because the amount of hair I have means I end up using a lot of product to get the heat protection.
I have mid-back length, very fine, straight hair. I bleach it regularly and while it does have a little bit of damage, my main concern is that it gets frizzy and tangled, especially during these humid summer months. Redken Frizz Dismiss conditioner has been somewhat helpful in keeping my hair under control. While I still have some frizz and tangles towards the ends of my hair, it has helped in making my hair softer and more healthy looking. This conditioner has a very nice scent to it, somewhat like a mixture of vanilla and fruits. The scent smells great when applying, but it does not have any lasting power on the hair unfortunately. The large bottle is very convenient, and will last for a very long time! I do have a hard time using the bottle though. It is too ... MoreI have mid-back length, very fine, straight hair. It is too heavy to hold one handed, and the product is too thick to squeeze out. I will have to purchase a pump lid or a smaller bottle to transfer the product to, and I would have much preferred if the bottle came with a pump lid already attached. Overall though, this is a quality conditioner for anyone with frizzy, dry hair!
