In comparison to other Reefs that I have owned, this pair is definitely heavier and less comfortable overall. You have to shove your feet in to make them stay on and there isn't much flexibility. The bottle opener, while a neat extra, most likely adds all of the weight, which makes them less comfortable to use on a daily basis.

Well made, comfortable - had a previous pair purchase years ago and still have them!

I've had these Reef flip flops over a year now. I'm retired and live in Florida, so I wear them about half the time. So, these have about 6 months of continuous use for me. That's probably years of use for most people. One reason I bought them is my old flip flops were dangerously slick on wet concrete. These have tread and are decently grippy. The tread is still good over about 90% of the sole. The soles are kind of thick and stiff at first, but they became very comfortable. No sign of failure yet. They have gotten a little thin near the toes. The bottle opener on the bottom is a gimick. If I ever go to a 1960s beach party, it might be handy.

I've had this for about 2 years and I've worn it everywhere, to the beach, Disneyworld, etc. The cushion on the back has never disappointed me and neither has the bottom. It seems silly to have a bottle opener but I've used it alot and people are surprised/impressed that I can come up with one on the spot. =)
Very comfortable on the arches. I have wide feet and these have both held up well and been extremely comfortable. I've had them for about 4 or 5 months and they have a few scratches under the toes on the front of the sole, but have otherwise resisted any and all wear and tear. The bottle opener is useful sometimes... I never thought I'd use it but I actually needed it the day I bought them! The downside, however is when you step in your neighbor's dog's poo... hard to clean around the metal opener parts...
