I've used Refresh products before and have had good results overall. However, I am not a fan of these gel drops. I've had issues with dry eyes since having LASIK several years ago, so I like to always keep eye drops on hand and use them often. These gel drops do not provide immediate hydration like others I've tried in the past, like Refresh Advanced or Refresh Tears. The drops look like liquid consistency even though they call them a gel. They are very slow to spread throughout the eye. I feel like most of the product ends up running out onto my face instead, even though I blink to try to incorporate it. Afterwards, my vision is blurry for a few minutes from the thickness of the solution, and then for about an hour my eyes feel so sore and tired! Re-apply the drops if you take a shower or use conventional drops to remove a foreign object or hair.I used to feel always as if I had "something in my eye," and it was even hard to focus at times. Now I seldom feel the effects of dry eye, and know instantly what needs to be done if I do. The reason I don’t give these drops five stars is because they are way overpriced. I only buy with coupon other than that I buy the store brand because they work as good and are less expensive.

I love the convenience of these mini eye drop containers. I can throw a couple in my purse so I always have them available - they take up no room and I don’t worry about them going bad. Because they are so small, I don’t miss my eyeball. I like that they are preservative free, although I realize all those little plastic containers are not so great for the environment. I thought I would go back to the bigger containers for home use, but I got so spoiled with these single use drops, that I couldn’t go back. Also, I can use them twice because I store protectively after the first use.

Best stuff since sliced bread. Like fresh 10-30 oil to the eyes. Perfect PH don't even feel it. Except the coolness. Have issue with dry eyes from cpap works great for me. Visine is ok for everyday all day. This stuff is great when you need an that extra mile.
Immediate relief for dry eyes! I like that one vial is enough for both eyes although I use one vial for each eye because of constant computer use and being outdoors. I’ve had dry eye syndrome for years and this brand works well for me. It’s my first time trying Optive Advanced and will purchase it again.
My eye doctor recommended these because they are perfect for my condition. I need 2 drops in each eye, wait 1 minute and then another 2 drops in each eye. There are SUPPOSED to have 0.4mL. A "drop" is 0.05mL. There SHOULD be 8 drops in each single use container. (this is why my doctor recommended them. When I first started using them they had 8 drops in each container. NOW most of the containers have only FIVE drops. This is 38% LESS than 0.4mL. These now cost TWICE AS MUCH. I need 2 containers and must throw away the unused portion of the second because there are no preservatives (a good thing) and my doctor said never save an open container.
I love that these eye drops are separated into individual use vials, so that way I don’t have to worry about accidentally touching the multi-use vial to a surface and it getting contaminated! Also sharing a multi-use eye drop bottle isn’t sanitary or safe, so single use vials are more logical if you have others that might occasionally need an eye drop that you have! Plus they’re more portable and won’t leak like the multi-use options! The eye drops themselves aren’t gel but work just as effectively and no stinging or burning when using! I highly recommend, they’re my go to!
I've been buying artificial eye drops for over 30 years. I usually use the Refresh Tears lubricant eye drops. While shopping last month I noticed the advanced formula and purchased a 2 pack. I opened one bottle that day and put a couple of drops in. I felt a burning sensation right away. I thought it might be temporary so I waited and put another drop in. Again me eye burned. I opened the second bottle and experienced the same result. I got no relief for my eye dryness only irritation. I called the number on the box. I spoke with 2 different people for a total of 45 minutes. I provided all details and I asked for them to send me replacement drops. They promised someone would get back to me but no one did. When the eye doctor explained what was causing the pain in my eyes and told me my options. I chose Refresh eye drops. I have never had the pain again. I am going for cataract surgery next week. I have to start with the Refresh drops. Wait 5 minutes then use the other drops 4 x a day, then 3x then 2x then once aday. In May it is a repeat for the other eye. Without a doubt, Refresh is a great product
I have tried nearly every eye drop and emollient under the sun and they either don't work for dry eye or they leave a film on the eye that makes it hard to see, or they cause an allergic reaction in my eyes. I have dry eye, especially in my R eye caused by Lasix surgery and on top of it, I have super sensitive eyes so even many of the supposedly preservative free eye drops and gels/emollients out there cause problems for me. I've tried medicated drops from my eye doctor like the one that starts with the "X" (Xiddra, or something like that) and Restasis, but both don't work for me because I'm allergic to the preservatives in them so my eyes get pink within a couple days of using them. After doing some research, I decided to give this a try and it has really helped. ... MoreI have tried nearly every eye drop and emollient under the sun and they either don't work for dry eye or they leave a film on the eye that makes it hard to see, or they cause an allergic reaction in my eyes. After doing some research, I decided to give this a try and it has really helped. And the best part for me is, so far anyway, no allergic reaction. One drop in each eye is all anyone needs so pop the top back on and stick it somewhere sanitary and "upright" to use at another time. Refresh is a brand my eye surgeon highly recommended, but this particular formulation works best for me!
