Headphones are excellent for day to day use. Adaptive audio mode makes a world of difference, as does conversation awareness. The charging capabilities have made charging my device effortless, I donât even think about it anymore, just drop it onto an Apple Watch charger or a wireless charger and youâre good to go. The recharge speed on a single earbud is beyond expectations in how quickly I can go back to listening. I take long flights regularly and having the ability to charge the earbuds in between layovers is perfect. I can easily make them last throughout a 12+ hour journey by just paying attention and taking a few short breaks between movies or playlists.I will make the additional comment that this product is not for professional grade audio. If you go into these mid-price range headphones with the expectation that you will get studio quality sound, you are setting yourself up, donât blame the manufacturers. The whole intent behind these devices is to bring wireless (and effortless) audio to everyday use, and they have done just that with great sound quality. I have made my way through the generations of Apple AirPods, and with each release, they improve them more and more, adding in functionality that I personally find useful. If I wanted a pair of studio quality headphones, I would not be looking in the $300-$500 price range, but in the $1000+ price range. As usual, Apple has delivered a product that works very well within their ecosystem of connected devices. I am constantly connecting these to my iPhone, iPad mini, and Apple TV and the transition between them is very well done. Highly recommend as a wonderful pair of daily drivers with many extra bells and whistles that make this product a slam dunk.

These airpod pros are so good. Its sound amazing and the bass really shows. PLUS the USB-C?? OMG this is the PERFECT PRODUCT and I don't say that about many items, as many headphones and earbuds are just complete terrible. Also I research a lot about items before I buy them and I only had to read a few things and then I was already sold. Also the fact that you can charge it with your already existing apple watch charger or your iPhone magsafe charger is amazing. Especially if you lost or you don't have a usb-c cable, which shouldn't be because they actually include a SUPER nice braided high quality usb-c cable. Also they have a option where if you talk they automatically lower volume and turns on transparency mode. Adaptive noise canceling is also so good. It perfectly adapt to you and you only. Spatial audio is also great, even the head tracking is great, so it always makes sure the sound always seems like it is coming for your device. So if you buy these Airpods Pro, trust me when I say this now , YOU WILL NOT REGRET BUYING THESE. Apple really but some work into these from the original airpods pro.

This is my 2nd pair of airpods pro and I've been disappointed with both so this will be my last. I keep reading reviews about how if you have an iphone there will be some enhanced functionality but it's nominal at best and not worth all the other downsides: PROs: -music does sound good and very full, voices on podcasts sound clear as well -small charging case CONs: -I like to wear these while biking and it does this weird thing where the volume will go up by itself to maximum levels. It must be triggered by the wind hitting the earbuds but it's very dangerous as my hands are on my bike and it's impossible to take out your earbuds or reach the phone controls mid bike ride so you have to pull over (sometimes this is not possible). I can just imagine the damage I did ... MoreThis is my 2nd pair of airpods pro and I've been disappointed with both so this will be my last. I can just imagine the damage I did to my hearing. -Left earbud stopped working after 2 weeks. I tried multiple ways to charge it, reseated it 10 times and finally got it to work again. -Wireless charging (non Apple pad) is finicky. My other earbuds w/wireless charging capability all do well w/my existing wireless charging pad but this one is particularly sensitive. I have to place it at a VERY specific spot at a VERY specific angle and only then will it charge wirelessly. No it's not an Apple wireless charging pad but this is the only pair that has an issue w/it. -Noise cancellation: I think the 1st generation was better. I'd say this is 60% as good as a Sony or Bose. Definitely dampens the noise but it just isn't as good -No wind dampening: Sony is far, far better w/alleviating some of the wind noise from biking. This offers no protection whatever from wind noise. I have tinnitus and it's amazing how much protecting your ears from wind noise makes a difference -Case is very slippery/glossy as are the earbuds

I recently switch to iPhone from Android and decided to replace my Sony WF-1000XM4 buds with these. I was pretty happy with the sound quality of the Sonys, especially on Android where I could use the LDAC codec, but I never found their bulky design comfortable in my ears, even after trying about a half a dozen aftermarket tips. These are a night and day difference when it comes to comfort. Right out of the box, with the stock tips, they just fit easily, without me having to twist and turn and adjust the angle of them, or keep my head perfectly level and not talk or chew while wearing them so that they don't fall out.Sound quality wise, testing with lossless FLAC/ALAC audio file playback, I think I still prefer the sound of the Sony's on LDAC slightly (a bit more ... MoreI recently switch to iPhone from Android and decided to replace my Sony WF-1000XM4 buds with these. However, when connecting them via AAC (the only option on iOS really), I'd say they are pretty evenly matched. I don't think sound quality difference will be that big of a deciding factor for anyone, if they compare these two, they're both pretty great for bluetooth audio,I didn't think I'd care for the Spatial Audio stuff at all, and I don't really like it much for music personally, but its pretty cool watching surround sound shows/movies on my Apple devices and actually hearing 3D audio placement. The noise cancelling on both this and the Sonys are pretty great - both do an amazing job of removing constant background noises and a decent job of cutting down the volume of other noises. I feel like the AirPods seem a bit more effective overall though because of the fact that the fit is so much more secure in my ears. One of the biggest difference I've noticed between the two is that the audio passthrough modes are very different. With Apples transparency mode, it really does almost sound like you're not even wearing them at all - I love being able to listen to music while still hearing around me naturally. With Sony's, it just feels like someone is mixing in a recording of ambient noise into the song you're listening to, very harsh and artificial and hissy in comparison, so I never used that feature.Battery life has been respectable, I rarely every find myself using the buds until they die, and the case only needs charges once a week or so, even with my pretty frequent usage.Last but not least, by far my favorite feature of these earbuds that no one really talks about is the physical mute option! When on calls, you can just single squeeze the right buds stem to mute/unmute you, and it makes the noises to let you know which state you toggled. I can't express how much easier this makes my workdays, and I never want to be on a call without them. Plus, the transparency mode makes me feel less deaf when I'm talking on the phone with both buds in, so I don't feel the need to always take one bud out when I'm on the phone, like with the Sony's.
I had a moment on a plane back home the other day where I thought back to junior high school in 2008, where the absolute pinnacle of listening for me was a pair of wired skull candy earbuds that were probably no more than $30. Now, if I could go back and hand these to my kid self, Iâd be blown away. After using the airpod pro 1s for maybe about 3 years or so, I had decided to try the second gen, as people had been touting the more powerful audio processor for noise cancellation offered a much better experience, and I gotta say, theyâre not wrong. It is not perfect, by any stretch, but for the sheer convenience and form factor of airpods, the fact that that level of noise cancellation at all is seriously impressive.Aside from that though, thereâs the new added ... MoreI had a moment on a plane back home the other day where I thought back to junior high school in 2008, where the absolute pinnacle of listening for me was a pair of wired skull candy earbuds that were probably no more than $30. It is not perfect, by any stretch, but for the sheer convenience and form factor of airpods, the fact that that level of noise cancellation at all is seriously impressive.Aside from that though, thereâs the new added touch features on the stem, like swiping up and down to raise and lower the volume, a feature I figured I would never use, but have come to find that I actually walk away from my phone and need to lower audio much more frequently than I thought, especially when using the new adaptive transparency mode.I think this is probably the biggest feature for me, the regular transparency mode on the originals (still available on the pro 2âs) was fantastic, but the adaptive mode actively attenuates loud noises around you while attempting to boost things you might wanna be hearing, like a direct conversation. The tech for this isnât all the way there; the speed at which the noise cancellation kicks in is noticeably slower than youâd like it to be, but maybe the next gen of the pros, especially with Apples new AI tech, weâll start to see a real breakthrough in the adaptive audio. Despite this, I find myself walking around in adaptive mode pretty constantly in my day to day life.Ultimately, weâre pretty close to the point where , Iâd imagine, a 3rd gen of the pros will be released, so Iâd wait for now to see if the feature set for those is worth splurging on the New Product Pricing for, otherwise, if it bumps the price down on these even more, you might not even need anything else.
Trying my wifeâs regular AirPods is what really opened me up to the whole âtrue wirelessâ earbud experience. Sheâs had several others (including Skullcandy), but when I heard the quality of sound, with how lightweight they were (I forgot they were in my ears at one point), I had to buy a pair of my own.I decided to one up her, and get these Pros. While not as easy to forget about in your ears, the features vs the same gen âregularâ AirPods more than make up for it. When you hold the volume slider on the scroll down screen, you can choose various adjustments (noise cancelling, transparency, or adaptive, which is a mix of both). Fixed Spatial Audio (think Dolby Atmos) is definitely worth turning on for a âwiderâ soundstage. It comes with several rubber tips for different ear sizes, and you can do a fit test through your iPhone (the standard ones were a good fit for me).And because of these tips, I do believe they stay in your ear better than the standard AirPods. Iâve only dropped an AirPod twice in probably close to a year of having them while on the go.Connectivity is excellent, and relatively seamless. Iâve connected it to my iPhone, MacOS, Nintendo Switch seamlessly. The only issue I had was connecting it to Windows 10, but a quick Windows update fixed that. That says more about my rapidly aging computer and how much I use it, more than it says about the AirPods though.I do love the sound quality, especially with the Spatial Audio on. Iâve never been one to follow trends, and always have been a âbudget audiophileâ, trying to find the best sounding headphones (usually under $100) for the price. While these definitely arenât âbudgetâ, the sound, wireless connectivity, ease of use, and portability combined, definitely justify the price.
I should preface this review by saying that I am a professional 'classical' musician who has begun to develop some age-related hearing loss, mostly in my right ear. I have had hearing aids for 3 years but hardly ever use them because they tickle my ears and the batteries hardly last any time.I bought the Airpods because they are excellent for those with mild hearing issues such as mine but I had no idea just how effective they would prove to be. The 3 modes of Noise Cancellation, Adaptive and Transparency are further enhanced through the Accessibility menus on iOS devices. Through these you can modify the response of the Airpods to match your own hearing anomalies. There are plenty of online videos describing the more advanced functions in relation to hearing ... MoreI should preface this review by saying that I am a professional 'classical' musician who has begun to develop some age-related hearing loss, mostly in my right ear. There are plenty of online videos describing the more advanced functions in relation to hearing issues. When it comes to music, it's the first time I've fully appreciated the virtues of Dolby Atmos and the Airpods are generally very good when partnered with apps such as Apple Music. I have to admit that listening to Elton John's Rocket man in the Atmos version actually drew tears at the 1 minute mark. Quite remarkable for me as hardened pro!All in all I now regard these as indispensable. Great for music, fantastic for mild hearing loss, amazing at completely eliminating noise in any busy location and, all the while, people around you will think you're just listening to music which is an asset for a pro musician when others might wrongly suggest your time is up!
This latest release of Appleâs signature Airpod Pros is anything but ordiany in performance and quality. Inwas initally apprehensive due to the in-ear build, but this latest iteration comes with extra small tips to ensure a comfortable seal on my ears, Iâve worn them all day without soreness, not something Iâd been used to in my experience with earbuds. Now, the listening is clear and full with its deep lows and crisp vocals, but even more impressive than that, and especially in my case as a media coordinator, is the active noise canceling. I work in a church environment where our worship nights can easily surpass 90dB on occasion; However, these tackle my noisy environment like a.. well.. like w a pro. I work in a church environment where our worship nights can easily surpass 90dB on occasion; However, these tackle my noisy environment like a.. well.. like w a pro. When I plug them in and toggle over to noise cancellation, all you can hear is the media youâre playingâclearly, at that. This was a major selling point for me. This, coupled with the ability to change the noise cancellation to adaptive noise canceling â so when youâre working on a project and that guy walks up to your cubicle to ask you a queation (you know the one), you donât have to take a bud out and say, âwhat was that?!â It automatically notices voices and helps you keep on top of what is around you by lowering your audio and making sure you catch all the ambience of your surroundings, without making you feel like youâre hearing your voice in a tube (something other buds manufacturers could learn from). All around it makes my life easier since picking these up. And! as a bonus if I ever forget to do just that, Apple sends a message to my phone letting me know that Iâd left them behind! Couldnât get through a work day with out them, even if Iâd tried to â evidently!
As someone who commutes a lot and needs to stay focused during the day, the noise cancellation on these has been a game changer for me. The 2x improvement over the previous model is extremely noticeable, as i can now hear dramatically less background noise when I'm trying to concentrate.Hooking them up to my phone with Bluetooth was simple! Just hold down the button on the back of the case while your phone is searching for a device. What I wasnât expecting was that upon hooking them up to my phone with Bluetooth, without even being on a call yet, the noise cancellation was activated.. I never realized how loud the world was before I had these. But they didnât make everything so silent that you are not completely aware of your surroundings, thanks to transparency ... MoreAs someone who commutes a lot and needs to stay focused during the day, the noise cancellation on these has been a game changer for me. But they didnât make everything so silent that you are not completely aware of your surroundings, thanks to transparency mode which you can easily switch in or out of.Itâs useful when I'm walking through a busy city street or while Iâm at home with my kids so that I can hear any nearby conversations, traffic noises, announcements, or people speaking to you, without having to constantly take the earbuds out! I don't feel isolated from my environment this way.Needless to say, the audio quality while in call, or listening to music is flawless. Itâs been a while since Iâve been able to actually hear the other caller or music with such clarity, and the caller could hear me perfectly too thanks to the personalized spatial audio and volume adjustments that really tailored the experience to my preferences. I love how immersed I feel in my music and podcasts. The comfortable silicone tips also help keep the AirPods securely in my ears while doing chores at home or during workouts.I will admit that at first I wasnât sure if they would actually stay in my ear the whole time without slipping out, because regardless of which size tip I put in (they include 3 different sized silicone tips), it just felt like it wasnât going to hold, but to my surprise it held quite well without me having to constantly push it back in.As for the battery life, I can get up to 6 hours of use with the noise cancellation feature on, versus the 4.5 hours of the previous model. And the MagSafe charging case extends that to a total of 24 hours, so I rarely have to worry about running out of battery. As a frequent earbud user, the upgrades in these 2nd generation AirPods Pro have been nothing short of amazing! The noise cancellation, transparency, and audio customization features make them a pleasure to use in all the settings of my busy life. Please donât hesitate to consider getting a refurbished product from Bestbuy! The Geek Squad certified refurbished condition ensures that youâre getting a high quality product at a better value. And they arrived in excellent condition too!Overall, I'd highly recommend these earbuds to anyone thatâs in the market for a premium wireless audio experience.
