I was lucky enough to trial this product as a part of review crew. I have owned and used a couple of Remington hair tongs in the past, so I was interested to see how this one compared. I used the curler on clean hair to style it before an event. It was fairly easy to use, although I did find that the clamp was stiffer than previous models I’ve tried. This meant my arm got tired quickly while using the curler. I also noticed that the hair did not slide over and around the barrel as easily as with other curlers. I felt my hair snagging and kinking which wasn’t ideal. I was surprised at this given the ‘coconut therapy’ aspect of the tong. Overall I think there are better curlers out there at a similar price point.

It’s been years since I’ve used a curler like this (giving me flashbacks to the late 2000s!) but I was keen to see what has improved for curlers in the past 15 years! Firstly I loved the different temperature settings available, each used for a certain kind of hair type, ensuring you have control over what you need for your hair. Secondly I loved the chunky cool tip end on the curler - it’s not a new feature but the size of it was big enough that there was minimal risk of accidentally touching the barrel which is a great improvement. I was soo excited to try this Remington Advanced Coconut Therapy curling wand. It looks super luxurious and weightless. I have curly hair but I usually straighten it and then curl it to have drop curls, this curler has a heat protector feature so my hair don’t get fried for straightening and then curling again like I usually do. It’s infused with coconut oil which I assume helps keep the hair frizz free and lessen the damage. I love how bounce and super soft my curls felt. It gives a professional finish that you can’t usually do it yourself. Absolutely loving the results
I was so excited to try this as my current hair tong was not working.I found the packaging great! It was simple and love the little carry bag that it comes with. This made it really easy to store in the bathroom or take with me whilst I'm travelling.I also use heat protector with any hot styling tools and would recommend this for anyone regardless off the type of product.I found the tong a good size as the curls were not too big or too small and found that being in the middle the curls stayed in the for the day. I also used a little hairspray.I think this is a great alternative for those who do not want to buy more a more expensive option!

The curling tong is a great size and is easy to use. It creates tight curls that hold after being brushed out. The problem I had was when using my left hand I kept pressing the buttons so would suggest using the temp lock function. The tip also gets hot so a heat glove would be advisable. I have other curling tongs where I don't have this issue so I thought this would be the same so began curling without the glove.I do like the temp lock and the heat sensor functions, these are things I don't have on my other tongs and are a great addition.It's a great curling tong for someone who wants an entry level Styling tong at its price point.
I didn't LOVE this product. While the iron itself looks nice, especially with the little bag it comes with - I found this a little difficult to use. The instructions weren't totally clear, and I could be used perhaps a link to a video online to make it a little bit clearer. I did end up searching online and found some videos, which I tried to copy, however I found that my ends looked a little crimped with one method. And the other method, I found it really hard to slide down my hair without it feeling a little stuck.I believe this would be better suited to someone who is confident with using a tong curler. I think with patience, it would be a great product- however I will still to my barrel curlers.

Just like it promises it creates big waves and they look sleek and frizz free. I only use the lowest heat setting which is 140C. That is the setting recommended for fine or damaged/bleached hair. The highest setting is only recommended for experienced users only. This has'nt converted me to the regular use of heat styling tools. Overall I found it awkward and too time consuming to use, as well as cumbersome to store in my bathroom. Even with a heat protectant product applied to my hair prior to use I don't feel confident using it regularly. My hair is quite porous and I have bleached the ends so I am always doing my best to keep it as healthy as possible.The lowest setting feels too hot for me. I will tick the box on this review that asks if I would recommend this product to someone as I know there are people who use these appliances regularly on their hair who may feel more confident and enjoy this curling tong more than me. It also delivers on it's promise of what it will make your hair look like. But for me personally I don't feel it warrants more than 3 stars.
