I only had to buy this complete item because the rubber on the original remote control had worn after a period of time. It would have been so much better if I could have only purchased the replacement rubber buttons but I was unable to find a supplier anywhere. Guess that's how they make their money! Just seems such a waste that customers cannot buy the only part which is most definitely going to wear after a period of time in use. Instead they have to buy a complete replacement unit, pretty poor.

The C945 does not work on my later model door motor. Had to swap for an E945. These remotes look exactly the same. My fault for not checking. Supplier has been very helpful in return and replacement issues.

Genuine product that was delivered quickly. The remotes were easy to program and only took 5 minutes to program 2 keys. Three minutes to look it up Youtube and 2 minutes to program keys.
A really nice aftermarket remote that is good in every way except one. The range is great, it's durable, battery lasts a long time. It's a little on the large side compared with the original. And now the bad side - if you put this in your pocket or even a bag the buttons get pressed, opening your garage door without you noticing. This could lead to you having the garage door open and losing expensive stuff out of your garage. The $10 you saved on the remote would definitely not be worth it then. If you don't want to put it in your pocket then I'd recommend it. Otherwise stick with the original merlin one, which I have now changed to.
Great product, and was in original packaging. The large remote was really good. The smaller one the button were a bit too tight.
Excellent remote, lightweight, works better than original Merlin 3 claw remote (Merlin green rubber button hurt my finger joints wiggling the single button all directions until the press mechanism opened garage door, over some years. I discovered after buying this unbranded model, that I could use the unused Merlin 2 bear claw buttons to 'Learn', but I still think this unbranded metal buttoned remote is far better, as it weighs about half of Merlin weight, so won't go back to 3 bear claw). One-third of the cost approx. $9 each incl. postage amazing, so I bought 2 for $18, instead of expensive cost of one single Merlin unit is around $35-$45 incl postage. Happy as Larry with this unbranded unit!
It works great, opens the garage from at least 20 meters away, and took seconds to program. The non-slippery material is pleasant to hold. What is misleading is the picture where it is shown next to the older original merlin+ control that it supersedes: the new green one is not smaller than the old one, but rather a bit bulkier (see the real photo side-by-side).
Our Merlin Garage Door closers have functioned flawlessly for 10 years. The remotes however intermittently failed even with new batteries. Checking the manual and seeing the C945 were the correct replacements for our closers; we were delighted with the ease of programing and function of the new Merlin + remotes.
This remote is better than the original one. It has a really long range, so the garage door is open fully by the time you approach it. The slide cover for the buttons helps with no accidental button presses. Now my wife wants one, because hers doesn't have the range. Too easy, it's cheap enough to buy another. Big thumbs up from me.
