Resident Evil Extinction is an improvement over Resident Evil 2 but thats not saying much, number 2 was terrible. Russell Mulcahy does a reasonable job here in creating the post apocalyptic world, but the 'Extinction' factor never really comes into play enough. Some reasonable action scenes but relies on milla too much and double guns. No interesting side characters and oded fehr does nothing of any importance.

I have got to say that this was one of the worst movies in the series. The writers obviously ran out of a storyline when they wrote this gratutious gore fest. The whole movie is centrered around Milla Jovovich's character, who if you've watched resident evil 2: Apocalypse, is one of the few remaining human survivors left on earth, due to the release of the "T-virus" on a global scale. Any remaining survivors live nomadic lifestyles travelling from town to town scavanging for food and fuel, all the while trying to stay alive fighting flesh eating zombies. Stay too long in any place, and flesh eating zombies get attracted to their presence. Milla Jovovich's character Alice has left her previous "friends" from Resident Evil 2 and ventured out on her own (here the film hints that it's for her "friend's" safety, more than any selfish reason of Alice's), but runs into one of her old friends' and his group being attacked by a flock of crows that have "turned" from eating zombie flesh. The story basically picks up from there as Alice joins their troupe, but has been tracked by the Umbrella corporation...which puts her new found friends in great danger, as a psychopatic scientist is hell bent on getting Alice's blood...which is a possible cure for the T-virus. As a side, he's also been busying himself by manufacturing Alice clones from blood he gathered from her in R2. The man's been a busy boy. He's managed to synthesize Alice's blood to create a better version of the flesh eating zombie...well! you know how that's going to end...crazy scientist creates crazier monsters...but was supposed to find a cure...etc...etc...you know what I mean. Anyway, to end things...if you had to pick one of the three movies to watch, I'd say the first one was the best of the lot...which is speaking volumes. Otherwise, if you're just after a bit of eyecandy and action, watch the R2. This one is a definate miss

Best to have the whole series and have an afternoon of watching one after the other - brillant
Love this movie and all that Alex meets on her travels to stop this evil corporation.Action is dramatic and constant.
While there has been a new release to the series I still think this is the best of them all, great story, great effects.
BOUGHT THIS TO COMPLETE THE SERIES. AS I AM HEARING IMPAIRED I REQUIRE SUBTITLES.
Just a very exciting movie lot of action I love the movie thank you
This is the third of five awesome zombie movies they have made so far using the original story from the playstation game. It is about a world consumed by zombies and the people that are trying to survive such undesirable conditions. The people that are still alive have no choice but to travel around trying to find food and water and gas for their cars.
Love the series now I can watch them when I want
