It was a gift for my partner with sleep aprnoa, and he said this:Its comfortable and allows more free movement in bed but the cable needs an extension as its not long enough. My device is at bed height and at the bedside, so as close as it could be. Do you make an extension? It dries out the mouth more than I'm used to however looks like Im still required to wear a chin strap to keep my nouth shut. Does not cause as much nasal irritation as the other 2 masks I have (nasal hood and nasal prongs).

( So I've stopped using the chin strap. ) Thirdly at the risk of rattling on too much. The first night I used the nasal mask I slept really well but when I took the nasal mask of in the morning my nose was red raw and I thought that I wouldn't be able to carry on using the mask. Oh and finally just as a point of interest, ( I have the ResMed App ) and I was averaging 10 incidents per hour with the full face mask and I've now dropped right down to an average of just 0.3 incidents per hour. Anyway the point I'm struggling to get to, is that for me, this nasal mask is a real break through and I would highly recommend it.

Best mask
24 April 2023

This is the best mask I’ve tried so far. I’m a nose breather and flop side to side when I sleep. I like how the nasal cradle isn’t as constricting as the pillows (which actually chaffed and irritated my nostrils). Also, it was nice having the tube on top of my head (I tucked the excess tubing, but with some wiggle room, behind my pillow so I could switch side to side seamlessly). I also have long hair and liked how the minimal straps on mask didn’t flatten my hair and give me terrible bed head. I’ve tried five masks so far and this has been my fav. It takes time to find a good fit and the least intrusive/uncomfortable.

Excellent mask design
19 January 2022

For many years, I have used a nasal pillow mask where the hose connects just below the nose. The main problem I've had is periodic leakage that requires on-the-fly adjustment. I thought it was worth it to try the ResMed Airfit N30i, where the tubing connects at the top of the head. In addition, instead of nasal pillows, this particular model utilized a nasal cradle.I am a large man (6'3" 370 lbs), and getting a good fit without leakage has been an on-going challenge. As we all know, the purpose of a CPAP is to stop the interruption of your sleep cycles caused by snoring. If you have a leaky connection, it actually causes you to wake up to adjust the fit of the mask, which is the exact opposite of what you want.Long story short, I tried all three sizes of nasal ... MoreFor many years, I have used a nasal pillow mask where the hose connects just below the nose. If you have a leaky connection, it actually causes you to wake up to adjust the fit of the mask, which is the exact opposite of what you want.Long story short, I tried all three sizes of nasal cradle and there was periodic leakage with each size. Even though the medium size fit the best for the shape of my face, I still had to wake up and adjust the cradle for leakage. I did really like the tube connection at the top of my head. It allowed me to move quite freely.I learned that the N30i could also be outfitted with more conventional nasal pillows, so that was my next option with which to experiment. Last night was my first trial of the N30i with the "in nostril" nasal pillows (L) that I ordered from Lofta. The results were AWESOME. When you combine the superior design of the N30i with the nasal pillows, I had ZERO LEAKS. I've never had zero leaks before. Incredible! The sleep was so much better. Can't wait to continue to use this combination night after night. If you struggle with leaks, this set-up might be a good option to try.

Frame is fine, nasal cushion is useless
22 March 2023

The headgear is fine. Well, the back strap cuts across the top of my ears, but I use cloth wraps to cushion that area. I like the overhead hose connection. The problem is that ResMed redesigned the nasal cushion, and the new model cushion not only feels obtrusive, it leaks air at an unacceptable rate. I get over 80 liters per minute air leak. If ResMed does not bring back the previous style nasal cushion, the whole rig is useless for me.

Love!
3 October 2022

I've had my CPAP since 2019 and have been unable to use it. Nasal masks don't fit properly and slide around. The strap hurts my neck . Nasal pillows have parts that stick out and are painful to my nostrils. Another style of nasal pillow, leaves sores. This is the first style to be so comfortable that I immediately became compliant. Nothing sticks out, just holes and nothing else. Three sizes to choose from. Comfortable, perfect fit, no hissing, no air blowing on my hand, no tube in the way, no pain in the back of my neck from the strap. I finally get a restful night and for the first time in 40 years can wake up in the morning feeling like I slept! Everything you need comes with the kit and it's not outrageously expensive like other places. Thank you!!!

One Week in…
20 November 2023

The fit of this mask is great. I haven’t had any issues with leaking or with the mask slipping off my nose. The straps in the back do put my hair frequently, so if you have long hair you may want to wear your hair up. I am brand new to CPAP wearing, and have only used this for about a week. Obviously there is a big adjustment happening, but overall the mask feels comfortable and easy to get used too. My only issue, and the reason I have given it 4 stars is that the silicone of the mask irritates my skin a decent amount. I have been using moisturizer or lotion to try to help with it, but it still has caused some redness and acne to pop up around my nose area.

Original nasal mask was great; new version does not work for me
17 April 2022

The first mask I ever tried - May 2021 - was N30i. I loved it, and no need to try another. More recently, it has not been working as well for me. My nose and nostrils are thin. I noticed my nostrils are sometimes closing, and air cannot pass. It took a while to figure out why. It is because of the new design of the 'enhanced' N30i nasal piece. The original one had a rigid piece on the top, which held the nose piece open or flat - across the middle of my face. The new one is flimsy, and folds in half against my narrow face. It pushes on each side of my nose, and closes or diminishes the size of my nostrils, and now I get less air. I tried loosening the strap around my head and it helped on a little. Before I even realized ResMed changed the design, I just knew it was ... MoreThe first mask I ever tried - May 2021 - was N30i. I loved it, and no need to try another. I tried nasal pillows strange for my small nostrils. I tried two full face never made it through an entire night yet. I wish ResMed would offer the original version. Change is not always good.

ResMed N30i
5 July 2023

The N30i is my go-to mask. I love the minimalistic design and how the hose is attached at the top of my head and not dangling from my nose. My only complaint is the blue strap that goes at the back of the head. I does absolutely nothing to keep the headgear from sliding around in the night. ResMed really needs to back to the drawing board regarding that part of it. What I do is replace it with the Dreamwear Headset with Arms and the headgear stays perfectly in place all night!
