ResMed Airsense 11 AutoSet Cpap Machine

(5,304 reviews)

The ResMed AirSense 11 Autoset CPAP machine is a premium device that can auto-adjust air pressure based on your breathing requirements. It takes the best of its predecessor, ResMed AirSense 10 AutoSet, and has refined it into a smaller package with even more technology. The machine works to automatically adjust to each patient's therapy pressure as their needs change - hourly, nightly and from season to season - to deliver the patient's ideal lowest therapy pressure. It features an auto ramp function that begins the CPAP pressure at a low level and increases the pressure once you fall asleep. The ClimateLine Air heated tubing promotes humidity throughout the hose, allowing you to take full advantage of humidification. The modern design makes it easy to use.

I bought this machine as per recommendation for replacement of my recalled machine. I have tried to use it for 3 weeks now and can't get more than 4 1/2 hours use each night. The machine is supposed to be auto sensing when I need it but the pressure will build so high that I wake up with the mask not sealing, and so much pressure in my head that my ears hurt. I believe the machine is faulty in it's settings, or construction, but can't seem to make the supplier understand that. They only suggest purchasing different style masks to seal better. I can't make them understand that the pressure is too high for comfort. I am going to scrap this machine, and purchase a different brand. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Compared to my ResMed AirSense 10, the changes made for the AirSense 11 are a DOWNGRADE.1) Non-Swivel Hose Port. While the machine works as it should, I guess, it’s obvious the sales team for ResMed short charge you on things like the hose that comes with the AS11 and by some strange coincidence they offer an upgrade two weeks after you’ve received your machine. You realize the hose that comes with the machine is inadequately designed. The new hose offered is the proper design with a 90° angle at the rear of the machine where the hose is attached properly adapting to the orientation of the user with the machine. The replacement hose is an additional $46 plus delivery which is omitted if you spend more than $100. Clever you might think. Why not just do it right the first time. Good improvement over the AirSense 10
7 October 2022

I used an AirSense 10 for a few weeks, and while having a CPAP machine makes a huge difference in how I feel, I was unsure whether the AirSense 11 would offer much more than what I had. The first thing my wife noticed is that the AirSense 11 is quieter. I was surprised as I thought the AirSense 10 was whisper quiet, but after paying closer attention to the sound of the machine, I do have to agree - it is quieter. From a user perspective, it feels more comfortable with the expiratory pressure relief. I was pleased how it did not have the constant pressure when I was breathing out - nice touch! The unit does not ship with an SD card as it has a modem built in, however I inserted my own SD card as I use OSCAR to track my numbers. The unit does not ship with an SD card as it has a modem built in, however I inserted my own SD card as I use OSCAR to track my numbers. The water tank is a bit different in that the seal is not removeable like in the AirSense 10 (or at least I've not removed it yet), but that's a non issue. The touch screen is nice, but I did not mind the knob of the AirSense 10. Is it worth upgrading from a 10 to 11? For me, the expiratory pressure relief is worth the upgrade. If it's more comfortable, I'll be more consistent in using it.

Love my AirSense 11.
1 April 2023

I love my AirSense 11. I previously owned another brand of machine for a very short time. There were many problems with it. It wouldnt connect to my internet ,and other things about it that put my heath at risk. I sent it back to the company .My AirSense 11 was easy to set up to MyAir app. I like being able to see my sleep report and see how Im doing. It is easy to navigate. The touch screen is nice and it is a very quiet machine. I sleep a lot better with this machine.I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to have a good nights sleep . My husband has the AirSense 10 . He has had it for 3 years and loves it. After having problems with the first machine he ordered my AirSense 11. Best purchase ever.

No heated hose included
10 January 2023

I received my AirSense 11 without a heated hose, even though the manual states that one is included with the machine. It was obvious that the box had been opened when I received the order. No heated hose inside, just the regular hose. My sister recently ordered her AirSense and the machine came with the heated tubing. The difference in orders was she had insurance coverage, I did not. I called Apria Direct, they stated that the machine does not include heated tubing and that I had to order separately for another $50 with shipping.

Over billing
7 September 2023

My insurance and I was charged for a my cap unit and then again separately for the humidifier that I don't use. If I would have bought this unit it would have came with a humidifier, online its included with the system.. as it should be. I was going to send this to humidifier back but my machine won't work without it. I feel like I'm being charged twice for something that should have came with the unit in the first place. I called the company and all they wanted to do was argue with me about it. So now I have to go through the hassle of having my insurance dispute it. AirSense 11.

Poorly designed machine
19 April 2023

The AirSense 11 was SUPPOSED to be an upgrade from the AirSense 10. Not! For being a "smart" machine it is pretty stupid most days. Regardless of settings it turns itself on without provocation. The humidifier/water chamber is a nightmare to fill -- for patients with dexterity issues it would be nearly impossible; it makes a mess regardless of how careful you are while filling it; doesn't hold as much water as the previous model so it has on occasion been completely dry in the morning (that can't be good for either the patient or the machine). The screen is overly sensitive or nonresponsive much of the time and the camera is idiotically placed to be the antithesis of user-friendly. For patients with vision challenges they would have a terrible time trying to adjust ... MoreThe AirSense 11 was SUPPOSED to be an upgrade from the AirSense 10. Not! ResMed and Apria have both been less than receptive to criticism by this professional regarding their CPAP machine. There are other design issues as well but the list is too long frankly.

Thank you
16 March 2023

First off, big thanks for the fast delivery!! Never bought from your cpap store before but can say I’ll be doing so again. The AirSense 11 arrived in just 1 day as promised. So far it’s been great, it looks stunning and is much smaller than my old Airsense 10 auto. Although I absolutely love that black beauty of a cpap, I can say that I won’t be using anymore as the 11 is just unbeatable as far as features, weight and noise are concerned. Thanks again for the express delivery and for the kind help of Katerina in the chat! 6 stars from me!

I had to return the first iteration of this new machine to Apria as I was getting an error message that the machine was over heating. The tube is stationary rather then turning easily when moving the tube when sleeping and when rolling from side to side and my over the nose mask can move off slightly, causing leakage. The machine itself is quiet and I am sleeping very well, but have to wonder if it was just the age of my previous machine rather than this one working better than my last one. Lastly, I have a warming tube, but it does take a bit for it to feel as if it is actually warm. I was never a Philips user.
