Loved building this model with my daughter as part of a school project on the RMS titanic.I don’t have masses of experience so was pleased to see I could follow the instructions without any real issue. My 8 year old daughter found the instructions confusing though.The glue dispenser that came with the set was great and my daughter was able to safely glue everything with relative ease.My only quibble is that the set comes with three colours of paint, yet requires 5 colours in order to complete the project. I hadn’t given it much thought, assuming that the colours given would be sufficient for the project. Thankfully I had some paints kicking about that did the job.

Just what my hubby wanted. Got it for him for Christmas and he was delighted. He is going back to his old hobby of doing his airfix models.

My dad has just got into model making and this was the perfect gift for his birthday. I feel the range of models available should be bigger and you should stock steam trains too! Great little buy and my dad was thrilled with the present

Purchased for a gift and recipient enjoying the building process. They are a beginner and this is about right level. Not suitable for an experienced model builder
The hull came in one piece, meaning is was not warped but had a prominent seam line along the bottom. For the white I would recommend using the Tamiya XF-2 white to paint the whit section as it is a solid colour in two coats rarther than ten million coat of the revell white. Nice detail for such a small scale!

The paint is acrylic rather than the usual enamel - this may not be as pro but it covers well, dries fast and rinses in water - so works well at this level.The kit is nicely detailed for its scale, engaging but not complex and even has water transfers :) Note that, ideally, you’ll need a craft knife/scalpel to free and trim the parts, and a little light grade sand paper would be handy (but not essential).We spent 5 or 6 enjoyable hours over two nights on this, and we thought the experience and the ... This model of the titanic, is great.Every thing you need, it includes paint, paintbrush and glue to get started, ideal for a beginner. For a more advanced builder some extra paints are required to enhance the products look. The model is good value for money, even better with a £5 voucher for my birthday.
Expected this to be a little more complex but killed an hour or so and made a neat little windowsill decoration. I didn't bother to paint it as it only came with three out of seven of the necessary paint - and frankly it looks cool in the white, a nice change from the grey I'm used to. Wouldn't build a boat of that scale again because it was just a bit too easy for me. Would be great for a 12-13 year old whose got a bit of experience behind them as there are some fiddly bits that would probably keep them busy for a while :)
I think it could be the last time!!! The Instructions aren't great, the design is very basic, the labels & signage all disappeared when soaked in water! Which took us 15 mins to work out how to get them off the card! - the Instructions are all laid out in different sections instead of all together and too many languages on one sheet!
