I love this spray. I personally don't use it to prep because I prefer my usual primer, but it's great for setting and for a quick refresh during the day. Sometimes I even use it during the day when I'm not wearing any makeup. I have really dry, sensitive skin, and applying lotion turns it beet red for at least an hour. I like to use this spray to give my face a quick moisture touch up without having to actually touch my skin, which keeps me from looking like an angry tomato.I will admit it's not the absolute best setting spray I've tried as far as keeping my makeup in place, especially in the sweaty summer months, but it does extend longevity some and isn't wildly expensive. Plus it's not mattefying like so many others, and that's great for someone with skin dryer ... MoreI love this spray. This isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. This spray claims you can use it as a primer, a setting spray, and a touch up spray. They claim that if you use it as a primer, it will help to smooth and blur imperfections. I don't think it really does much blurring, but it does feel refreshing, and it will hydrate your skin. It has a very fine mister, that gives you the perfect gentle mist, and evenly coats your face. As a setting spray, I think it's just OK. It did seem to somewhat extend the wear time of my more matte foundations. It gives the skin a natural finish, leaning dewy, so it seemed to work better with matte foundations. If you have more oily skin, this might not be the best choice for you. It doesn't make you oily, but it is pretty hydrating, so ... MoreThis isn't the best, but it's not the worst either. It doesn't make you oily, but it is pretty hydrating, so it's not going to help prevent oils from breaking through your makeup. I'm not really a fan of using this as a touch-up spray either. It's just not my preferred choice to use when touching up, because it's so hydrating. I need a spray that will help melt powders into my skin, but also help to keep my from looking shiny again too. This just didn't make the cut for me. I do like it as a moisturizing primer spray though.

Ooh, I'm a tad bit conflicted on this one. I've been using it for the past few days and I've been enjoying it, but I do think it has strengths and weaknesses. It's strengths include that it truly is refreshing. The cucumber is a wonderful addition and helps you to immediately "take a breath of relaxation". It's indeed cooling and using this spray mid-day will also prevent your foundation from creasing or looking cakey (as it does indeed have hydrating ingredients). Another great use for this is between primer/foundation and/or foundation/powder. If you struggle with dry skin, you need to up your hydration around your complexion products. This is an inexpensive product that will do just that.As for extending the life of makeup, I don't think this is a strength for ... MoreOoh, I'm a tad bit conflicted on this one. Again, as a dry-skinned person, I am not bothered by this fact, as I rarely struggle with this issue anyway - leading me to conclude this is likely best for dry/combination skin types.A couple more pros: I would say the mist is fine, and far better than other drugstore nozzles that I have found (aside from the first few spritzes which do come out heavy). Also..males, you're so neglected in the world of cosmetics and there is so much it can offer - here's a gender neutral bottle of a hydrator that will make a difference in your skin!However.....theres a con here. I must say that this isn't a very inexpensive product after all? The current price is for a mere 1.5 oz - this won't last long and to me is a "travel size". In fact, many higher end sprays are comparable in price given the size.Given that fact, I would recommend this for persons on the go. Are you traveling and feeling dry? This spray is a great, easily accessible option for you. Looking for a portable mist? Excellent option (I'm keeping mine in my gym bag!)This post was sponsored by Revlon® as part of a sampling activation for Crowdtap. I received complimentary products to facilitate my review.

Revlon photo ready prep/ set/ refresh mist in 1.9 fl. oz.I have dry skin so I used this as a setting spray after I had moisturized and applied my make up as I normally do.The directions say to hold the bottle 8 to 10 inches away from your face, close your eyes and spray evenly in a circular motion. When I first sprayed it on it stung my skin. I was concerned that I might have a sensitivity to one of the ingredients and end up with a rash on my face. I was about to leave to visit family for Christmas Eve and that's the last thing I needed. The stinging faded after a minute or two and I didn't see any red blotches. I'll get back to this in a moment. It was colorless, had a pleasant, fresh, light scent. The stinging faded after a minute or two and I didn't see any red blotches. I'll get back to this in a moment. It was colorless, had a pleasant, fresh, light scent. It didn't feel sticky and it dried quickly.About 8 hours later, while at the family "get together", I checked my makeup and it still looked good, not a lot of fading as there would have been without using this product, except for my lipstick. It always fades off so I guess I'll have to invest in a lip primer and a better quality lipstick. Now back to the stinging. I realized I had just plucked my eyebrows shortly before applying the photo ready prep spray and one of the ingredients in it is citric acid. That's why it stung. And just to make sure that was the reason, I sprayed some on my face today and there was no stinging. So make sure if you're going to pluck your brows, you do it well ahead of time before using this spray.I would also suggest shaking the bottle then pump it a couple of times before applying to make sure it's coming out in a fine mist or you could end up with droplets on your face.It did seem to help my make up last longer than not using any primer/prep spray at all.
I am new to 'finishing sprays' and couldn't help but wonder if they were actually needed. When I was younger you simply put on some foundation and then some powder and went on your day. I have noticed as I have aged that my skin is more oily and makeup has a tendency to sit on top of it in a cakey layer instead of blending in nicely. It does not seem to matter what kind I use, it all ends up looking pretty terrible within a few hours.I started using a primer awhile ago and that helped some but I still was not satisfied. I saw this and gave it a shot and let me tell you, it is like a whole new makeup world. My face stays amazing, no oily build up and no dry skin patches either. It is a liquid spray, after all, so it will make your mascara run!
This is a lightweight mist with more than one use. Very innovative! The main function I would purchase for is that it is a setting spray, but I love that it has two more uses. It is made to be used basically as a primer before applying makeup, then used after applying as a setting spray, and throughout the day to refresh skin. I love the idea of one product to prime and set and my makeup lasts all day using this so I really think if works great to lock in my look. It is hydrating for the skin but doesn't feel greasy or oily and soaks right in. I bet it would be wonderful when traveling to use throughout the day to refresh and prevent the side effects travel has on the complexion. The scent is light enough that I don't even notice it. I was given the opportunity to try out Revlon PhotoReady Prep Set and Refresh Mist. The light weight formula has very little to no scent which is always good and left my face feeling smooth and refreshed not tacky and dry. I used several different ways just to get a sense of how well it worked. I used it to prep my face before applying my makeup and I was impressed it was almost like I'd applied a primer. On another occasion I used it to set my makeup after applying it and noticed it seemed to keep everything in place throughout the day and I also used it to refresh and revive my face later in the day and it did a great job with that as well. I definitely recommend it and will continue to use it. *This post was sponsored by Revlon as part of a sampling activation ... I used the refresh mist before applying my makeup as a primer and after applying my makeup to set my completed look. It goes on super easy and feels just like a lift mist of air that dries super quick with a nice natural look.I like that the foundation goes on smooth, but I did have to use my fingers to apply cause the blender that was included on the bottle was a bit hard to use. The color that was sent to me in the bottle looked like the perfect color, but was a bit light for my skin tone and I have a light to medium skin tone. So when selecting a color I would go a bit darker than ypur actual skin tone. I like that it's not wet and doesn't leave your face looking splotchy or dewy. I kept forgetting to use this product since it's not a part of my regular "get ready for work" routine when I'm doing my hair and putting on make-up, but since I've tried it I've been remembering. We all know how make-up tends to just wear off and get dull looking throughout the day, well this stuff really works. I sprayed it in the morning and all my make up was still fresh looking except my lipstick and lip liner, but that comes off easily when you eat or drink. The instructions say to hold it about 8 to 10 inches from your face and close your eyes and spray in a circular motion. I tried it like that, and it worked well. Don't use too many sprays. Maybe 3-5. It will feel like you have concrete on your face, otherwise. It did leave a light sticky residue. My face ... That wore off as the day progressed. Overall, if you are having trouble with your make up staying on all day, this stuff definitely works.
